Fifth Harmony's Feminist Song Written By Men

Here are the lyrics to this "feminist anthem":

http://pop.genius.com/Fifth-harmony-bo-lyrics

Description:

"The song serves as a feminist anthem, encouraging young girls to be independent and depend on no one but themselves. Mentioning successful women such as Oprah and Michelle Obama, it shows that women can be Bo$$es."

Now look at the writers:

Men wrote this song.

If these women are so empowered why are men writing their music for them?

The hook is kind of catchy if you can look past the retarded lyrics.

This song and video are basically the event horizon for chick empowerment. The lyrics brag about being like Michelle Obama (basically, for being the President's wife) and Oprah Winfrey (earned it), getting money and working for it (the type of work is never indicated, of course). Half of the lyrics are direct orders to, or regarding, men - they want a Kanye and not a Ray J, you'd better listen, you'd better respect.

The video is a female empowerment fantasy, featuring the skinny singers beating muscular men in arm wrestling contests. They wear empoweringly skimpy outfits, there are flashbulbs going off.

I wonder what the blonde one does for a living. Think she drives a garbage truck? Maybe she gets Oprah dollars as an accountant. What do you suppose?

Girl work is keeping thin, doing hair and make up. Career is meaningless. Look at Oprah. She has all the money in the world yet she's not married and has no kids. That's a failure if you ask me.
