Slate article, on the American Academy of Pediatrics recommending that teen girls get IUDs because they're not using condoms correctly.

"She told me she had an IUD? Should I have trusted her?

Stopped reading when I saw this:

That being said, if I'm any indication, raw-dogging is at an all-time high. I basically raw-dog anything that I suspect would produce semi-attractive offspring. That's some bad logic and I need to stop.

Couple thoughts.

The writer claims that condoms have a poor record in preventing pregnancy. From what I've read, that's just not true. Properly used, they are very effective. She's not giving factually correct info, as far as I can tell. (If I'm wrong on this, someone correct me.)

Other thing.

Whenever I hear "IUD" my mind morphs it into "IED" (improvised explosive device).

Is that just my PTSD? Or am I evil?

As much as I love rawdogging I'm a paranoid guy. If I rawdog a chick I'm going to spend the next 2-3 weeks constantly checking my dick thinking every little thing is the signs of some std I caught lol. I think I almost get in my head to the point of making myself have symptoms as crazy as that sounds. To me it's just not worth it.

An implant is used more often in poorer countries due to the cost of the pill and condoms. Anyone confirm this?

The pill seems to be pushed onto women in more developed countries due to the money it generates.

Every time I raw dog I get super paranoid after, for about two days. Then I just hamster it out. In my city girls almost seem offended if I pull out a rubber.

Most contraceptives are studied using pearl index criteria, which measures chance of pregnancies over the course of one year. Also, a distinction is made between perfect and imperfect use - in other words, whether or not the method is used regularly and with correct technique.

With perfect use, condoms have a 2% pregnancy rate over the course of one year (compared to unprotected intercourse which has an 85% chance of causing pregnancy over one year).

With imperfect use, condoms have a 15% pregnancy rate.

If you really want good protection against making babies, use condoms with the withdrawal method (perfect use has 4% pregnancy risk over one year, 18% imperfect).

These two methods with perfect will overall mean, if you combine the probabilities, that you have a 0.08 percent chance of causing pregnancy over the course of the year (or a 99.92 effectiveness rate at preventing pregnancy. This is more effective than oral contraception (0.3% chance of causing pregnancy) but less effective than the implant (0.05% chance of causing pregnancy)). Imperfect use would be 2.7% chance of causing pregnancy over a year (or a 97.3% effectiveness at preventing pregnancy, which is still very respectable).

Quick question.

Like when I hit it raw I keep feeling this sore feeling either afterwards or while doing it.

Any way I can help stop that?

Nope.

If you aren't experiencing discomfort with a condom, then surely it's skin related due to increased exposure/friction?

In any event, I'd be seeing a doctor about it if it is ongoing.

I'm not too sure what could explain this, but I'm thinking that the cause is psychological.

If you had a UTI you would most likely be feeling pain at other times as well.

This.

I once kept dating a girl for another 8 months past when I was ready to break up with her just because she was clean and we rawdogged.

Respecting her sexual health needs now might help her stay responsible and assured down the line, such as when a partner is trying to weasel out of a condom and she needs to stand up for herself.

The real reason Marcotte is pushing for teen girls to get IUDs: chicks these days are too lazy to use protection.

Seriously, when was the last time a girl you banged insisted you use a condom? Even mentioned the condom? In nearly a decade in the game, I can count the number of girls who've insisted I wrap it up on one hand, and I'd still have a few fingers left over. If it weren't for my initiative, I'd have been able to raw dog them all.

The HIV scare is history. Girls these days simply do not care about STDs or pregnancy. Don't blame it on ignorance, because I'm from a state (New York) with comprehensive sex ed. And really, even the kids who didn't get sex education were able to fill in the gaps with Google and their friends' knowledge. These slags simply do not give a fuck.

And this is only going to get more common due to changing demographics. Since irresponsible degenerates (and the religious) are outbreeding the reproductively responsible, we're actually seeing a new phenomena called "pregnancy ambivalence," girls who don't really care whether they get knocked up. Here's more info (from another Marcotte article, amusingly enough):

Quote:Quote:

The research team looked at questions relating to pregnancy ambivalence and contraceptive use, and their findings are quite startling. About 45 percent of respondents exhibited ambivalence towards pregnancy, and men were significantly more likely than women to be ambivalent (53 percent of men compared with 36 percent of women). People who expressed ambivalence about pregnancy were more likely to have used no birth control method in the past month.

Oh, and look: STD rates are going up too!

From this perspective, arming every teenage slut with a form of contraception that requires no brainpower on her behalf is the next logical step. Of course, an IUD won't protect little Caitlin or Madison from the antibiotic-resistant strains of syphilis that are going around now.

This is the way the world ends: not with a whimper, but a bang. A raw bang.

I know a doctor who requires a good reason to implant an IUD in a patient. Even if it's just asking very direct question as to why they want it, doctors don't just want to be implanting it into chics as a long-term contraceptive.

your not properly turning girls on, so they're not wet enough. If I'm raw dogging a girl and she's wet as a faucet, there is no pain on either of our sides. If she's dry then it's uncomfortable for me and she'll also feel pain. Do more foreplay and eat more pussy, that should help. Lube isn't necessary if she can produce it herself.

Condoms are super effective, they just have to accept the fact that people dont like using them.
