Remember to have her sign the sexual consent form in blue or black ink.

Quote:Quote:

California Governor Jerry Brown on Sunday signed a law requiring all state colleges to adopt a policy of unambiguous, affirmative consent by students engaged in sexual activity, part of a nationwide effort to curb sexual assault on U.S. campuses.

California's so-called "yes means yes" law will be the first in the nation to make affirmative consent language a central tenet of school sexual assault policies, proponents said.

The legislation, passed by the California State Senate last month, defines consent as "an affirmative, conscious and voluntary agreement to engage in sexual activity."

It also states that silence and a lack of resistance do not signify consent and that drugs or alcohol do not excuse unwanted sexual activity.

The White House has declared sex crimes to be "epidemic" on U.S. college campuses, with one in five students falling victim to sex assault during their college years.

This law has already had four threads. The law has no effect on the law of rape, or any criminal or even disciplinary proceeding.

It's a posturing law to establish a "policy" with no legal effect.

Classic leftist tactic - just keep repeating the same debunked statistics over and over until the masses believe it, then pass a law on the back of that. They've been trying to use the same tactic to pass gun control laws (and have been successful with it in several states after Sandy Hook).

And if you point out their statistics are wrong, you aren't countered with facts; rather, you are demonized - misogynist, racist, ammosexual, etc.

Have the people who thought up this law ever had sex before?

Here, also, a BBC article:

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-29406138

Reading it, you'd think American campuses are rapefairs. The maladjusted feminazi freaks and their constant agitation of young, impressionable, otherwise normal women into paranoid "rape-o-phobes" is now actually being legitimized by legislation. As mindfucked as that is, I suppose it shouldn't be surprising. Feminism is but one of many aspects of cultural Marxism--but one snake attached to the head of the same beast--and as we all know, filthy Marxists want nothing more than utter and complete control of citizens' life by the state.

You can't spank your children because the state will intervene. You can't smoke because the state will intervene. You can't fart sideways because the state will intervene. Now you can't even fuck because the state might intervene.

Whoever isn't building a nest abroad and looking into residency options needs to start now.

What a pathetic, ass-backwards joke this country has become. Every conceivable form of freakishness and aberration is held up as a high standard, while everything that is normal, sane, and healthy is vilified by parasitical talking heads and "professors" who deserve the name every bit as much as a cockroach deserves an uninterrupted ten-second stream of Raid.

I feel better now.

They're just lubing the people up before they stick it in a little later down the road.

These laws are put in place by baby boomers, a generation that sucked, fucked, and snorted its way through the 70s and 80s and now wants to prevent young people from having some fun. Fucking degenerates.

*WHAM*

That's the sound of my head hitting the desk. I wonder if that "continuous" thing is in there somewhere; that's going to make all kinds of guys say the vaginal-drying "Is it good for you?" over and over and over again.

Just heard a clip of some chic commenting on this...

"I think when someone says yes, they mean yes, and if someone doesn't say yes..." blah blah

"Someone" as if men and women are turned on by the same things. So fucking stupid.

I suppose it makes sense why these 40-something plus legislators are doing this. No parents (ie mother) at home, kids being raised by pubic screwal, parents doing an all-around shitty job raising kids...and then trying to make up for it by convincing themselves this law will fix all that and will prevent their daughters from lining up alongside their drunken sorority sisters, asses in the air so the star cornerback go down the line.

Makes sense.

True enough - Moonchild himself, former hippie and boomer extraordinaire, is now telling college kids when they can have sex. And campus kangaroo courts will figure out who's guilty of a crime by the 'preponderance of the evidence' standard in a country where guilt in a criminal matter is supposed to be beyond a reasonable doubt.

It's hard to have sympathy though when so many leftist idiots brought this guy upon themselves.

EDIT: As someone who went to high school in the eighties I can tell you the boomers fucked the party up just in time for us. Raised drinking ages, amped-up law enforcement and AIDS put a real monkey wrench in the works compared to the no-holds barred lifestyle they demanded for themselves while in their prime. Hope those asshats are eating cat food into their retirement.

I wonder if this is just the first precedent. Maybe this "law" will spread from California campuses to campuses nationwide, then at some point will be applied to the rest of us off campus as well.

Oh it will absolutely will be peddled to out of state campuses, haven't you seen the Obama administration statistics and movement to end campus assault ?

Mark my words this will be nationwide in less than a decade.

The whole thing is a good argument for community college. Or complete degree programs abroad, perhaps. College is a waste for most young Americans anyway - four years of going into debt to major in something unmarketable meant at least you could get laid and have fun in the process. Now all it means is debt, but you could still get drunk, laid & stoned while getting the debt. Take that away and you might as well focus on learning a skill and sharpening up your regular, real world game.

...come to think of it, this might not be such a bad development for the Western man after all!

Although it's obviously geared towards straight men, it also seems to include LGBT - so not quite as big of a win as they think it is. There really isn't clarity on whether it will apply to enrolled students who live in off-campus housing as well. It's going to introduce a whole new host of "he said/she said". Stuff like "did she have even one drink that night? does she take medication that could alter her mood? did he ask her to sign it? was the signature legible? etc". It does makes it easier for any accusation to automatically equate guilt (part of feminist endgame), but really isn't that different from how it's always been (at least in Anglosphere countries).

The way things are changing in America, don't be surprised if getting into professionally-produced porn is the only "safe bet" one day.

Paradoxically, California also leads the nation in porn production (of all kinds) by a wide margin.

I remember Jerry Brown's first run as Governor. The press started calling him "Ozone Man" and he was having an affair with Linda Ronstadt. He was running for president and had this outdoor rally with coordinated lighting that looked reminiscent of a Nuremberg rally and he was criticized for it. How did this nut ever get elected again? I guess the American public has a short memory.

Here is an interesting essay on this topic by Paglia:

"Colleges should stick to academics and stop their infantilizing supervision of students’ dating lives, an authoritarian intrusion that borders on violation of civil liberties. Real crimes should be reported to the police, not to haphazard and ill-trained campus grievance committees."

"Current educational codes, tracking liberal-Left, are perpetuating illusions about sex and gender. The basic Leftist premise, descending from Marxism, is that all problems in human life stem from an unjust society and that corrections and fine-tunings of that social mechanism will eventually bring utopia. Progressives have unquestioned faith in the perfectibility of mankind."

Indeed, the colleges are set up for failure here, as someone else pointed out. If something really does happen and a woman is assaulted, they get sued and worse for not following this idiotic new law. If they do follow the law and paint some guy as a sex offender using a private court with a preponderance of the evidence standard, they get sued for defamation, libel and who knows what else.

I can only imagine the clusterfuck that would have ensued had this law been in effect during the Duke lacrosse case.
