Kerry Washington/Allstate Raise Awareness of Imaginary "Financial Abuse" Crisis

Another day, another allegation that men are abusing women in new and exciting ways.

This time around, it comes from actress Kerry Washington, who has teamed up with Allstate Insurance for something called the "Purple Purse Initiative." It's named that because Washington helped design an actual purse to combat violence against women.

While that might sound like a satire, it's real: it's designed to raise awareness about "financial abuse," something feminists have long alleged takes place in relationships, but no one took seriously.

Till now, I guess.

The article states: "Financial abuse occasionally involves the abuser limiting a victim’s access to cash, which can prevent them from leaving the relationship."

I state: The real financial abuse is women scamming men out of dinners when they're "dating" or scamming men out of houses and savings after they're divorced.

Also, here is a link that states women carry more debt than men. They also make the majority of purchases. So if a husband tries to put the brakes on his wife's spending and save the family from going under, that's now "abuse."

If you wanted yet another reason never to co-habitate with a female, there it is.

To be fair, I'm sure what they allege goes on. But I'm also sure that unfair divorce settlements for men go on far, far, more. And I don't see any campaign to raise awareness about that. The cash-strapped, divorced Alan character from "Two and a Half Men" resonates with people because we all know someone like that. Talk about financial abuse.

What I find really disturbing about these "campaigns" is the cumulative effect is giving women an impression of the average man that's way off base, and it's further eroding trust between the sexes. Which, of course, is what feminists wanted all along.

My condo insurance is with Allstate. Geico, who I have car insurance with, has been bugging me to switch to them. When this year's policy is up in Oct., I'll be switching over and I'm gonna let Allstate know this anti-man campaign is the reason. They don't like men? Fine, they don't need to be dealing with this one.

Fuuuuck. I liked Allstate. And Kerry Washington. Now they do this shit.

Anybody got a connection to Geico? They can start a "Walnut Wallet Initiative" to raise awareness of financial abuse against men, when abusers spend all the cash in order to limit men's access to it.

God, you just described a financial "Scorched Earth" policy...

More naked paradoxes in feminist rhetoric. Women are strong and independent and capable, yet somehow men are magically able to sandbag them financially?

In fact, so what if a guy IS limiting her access to cash? The only way he could conceivably do that, is if she is living off his money to begin with.

What's really outrageous is that they consider both of the following cases as "woman is abused":

- the man uses or takes their joint funds without asking for permission
- the woman has to ask for permission before using or taking their joint funds

It makes for an incredibly hypocritical damned-if-you-do-damned-if-you-don't scenario.

This is not to mention that women complain about and interfere with their partners' spending much more often than men do.

And also not to mention the standard abuse of the word "abuse" (see what I did there?) by conflating a husband who politely asks his woman to not spend so much on a new pair of shoes with a psycho who beats a woman and forces her to go to the ATM with him and hand him over all her cash.

We already have this bullshit widespread in Croatia. A recent study (lavishly funded by 15 000$ of taxpayers' money) found that "33% of women are economically abused".

It used to be "abused" meant you went to the hospital with a black eye or a broken arm, and told the nurse you fell down the stairs.
Now it means your husband won't let you buy a pair of 400$ high heels without asking.

Just as a side note, The author of this piece, "Yesha Callahan" was the single mom trolling on DC Craigslist who "outed" Congressman Chris Lee for trying to pick her up on Craigslist and sent her shirtless photos

I will never take her seriously as a journalist after that.

Another Hollywood Liberal, who lives in a protective bubble away from reality, telling everyone else how to live their lives. We have Harvey Weinstein telling us we can't have a gun to defend ourselves and our families in our own houses, but he can have armed guards to protect his family. You have George Clooney telling us how great Obama is doing, all the while the middle class is being destroyed and he makes more and more to memorize lines and pretend he is an alpha. Now we have this woman telling men they have no right to determine how their own money is spent if they date a woman in the USA.

This whole female victimhood mentality is out of control. I often think women are incapable of doing anything, until I remember all the great things my mom and other women her age were doing decades ago.

If I had All State, I would drop it ASAP. I would recommend every red pill male drop All State, if they have them, and let them know they refuse to support an anti-male company and will encourage their male friends to drop as well.

This bitch needs to get nude and spew out her lines...most likely written by a man.

And she's married an an ex-NFL player for those of you who didn't know that. Guess she's at a higher risk for all sorts of "abuse".

Scotty, PLEASE beam me up, I've had enough!

I blame the NFL player for being an idiot who married a man-hating stupid used-up feminist slut (but I repeat myself). Without their Beta enablers, these women would not be able to wield so much influence because they would be too busy having a nervous breakdown with their cats.
