Is it just me or has Badoo changed this year. In Brazil, in October and November, It was worth it ....even if I to spend 10 to 15 dollars a month on premium services. I had given up on Badoo awhile back, but I was pleased by it, in Brazil.
Now this year, I am in Colombia and they are expecting you to use credts when you message any chick, who has a higher rating than you....even if you have superpowers. Some even cost 40 to 90 credits to message. I am sure that girls love it, but this is trash for most men.

I deleted my profile on Badoo a long time ago. I think the site is absolute garbage now. I didn't even try to use Badoo in Colombia. I've also gotten rid of PoF lately. Both sites aren't worth it for a majority of guys these days.

I can also confirm that badoo is garbage in Western Europe. It's full of shemales and low quality women. I would say that 90% of the women on badoo in my country come from the lower classes of society, which means they are goddamn ugly when they are above the age of 25/30. I agree that something has changed with Badoo, although I don't really know exactly what they are doing. As recently as last summer I banged three girls off Badoo despite just having a free account. However, since that time it appears that not a single person has either liked or disliked me in Encounters, and it usually says that "0 people saw you in Encounters." If I try to send a message, there is no response. Are they basically making it a pay site only without telling users, or what is going on?

I found when I used it, you could definitely make do with the free essentials. You can pay for extra perks (more messages instead of waiting a couple of hours to send more), and boosting your profile to the top of the list.

By and large, I used encounters sparingly, and use the 'people nearby' function. You can see people in the area, and message them which is a lot easier than using encounters. I will say, that some girls you can't message until they've liked you on encounters though, and I think it's based on visits to their profile, but I'm not entirely sure.

I've seen whales that you can't message until they like you on encounters, and babes who you could message right away, so I'm not entirely sure what it's based on.

Either way, Badoo is just another weapon in your toolbox.

Around a month ago, they quietly did change the entire way this site works obviously. It is actually a paysite now without branding it that way. While in the past I could message around 5 chicks for free daily (except very popular ones which were usually the very few 10/10s on that site), the concept is now totally different. When I browse through a girl's profile, I have to click "like" at first in order for the messaging button to even show up, and then it needs usually 20 credits to write to any girl, as long as she didn't like me back (and liking back never happens). The amount of credits needed to write for a girl seems to vary based on some never-explained algorhythm and more popular girls sometimes would take as much as 200 credits to write to, which is a ridiculous price of around EUR 4 for one message!

I always liked the Badoo site a lot. I pulled three Czech beauties from it two years ago, and response rates in other European countries weren't so bad as well. Unlike Tinder I could use it on my PC and not smartphone-only, it has girls world-wide (and I can browse them world-wide and not just in my current city like on Tinder), tons of girls in every corner and city of every country (meaning it is not under-used in most countries like okcupid) and it basically was for free all the time as long as you sticked with your 5 free messages every day. But now? Probably I'll still use the site to pipeline from time to time when going to other countries, but even when they "only" want 20 credits for messaging a new girl, it will probably take an investment of 20 Euros or more to properly pipeline for a trip.

What I fear could happen is that girls will start to less use Badoo from now, because the number of guys writing to them will probably significantly drop when EVERY single message costs money. They don't even bother to offer any kind of gold account where you pay a fixed price every month and unlimited messaging would be included. Pay-per-message with totally undefined and unpredictable numbers of credits needed is just the worst way they could change this site, and I wonder what they expect from it.

Is there any site left that works in a similar way world-wide, for free, and is heavily frequented by girls of all countries?

For Russia and Ukraine the Mamba site is still among the best options for pipelining, and their basic features including messaging remain free as well.

Resurrecting thread to ask has someone recent experiences with Badoo and is it really like goldenhinde said in the post above this.
Something about badoo popped up during some googling and when I clicked and wrote my home city and filter 18 - 25, there were at least 4 or 5 hot girls with some infrastructure of my city clearly visible in the background. So these are all real profiles.

I never invested a cent in any dating apps. nor ever payed for subscriptions on any dating website. And it was still always enough to have a good pipeline.

Last time I got a bang from Badoo was in Odessa in January 2016. Back then it was free, so I don't complain. But this pricing that you talk about is outrageous. It does look like Badoo is soon to be totally pushed out from the market by other apps.

Just checked out badoo and it seems promising. You can change your location on it and view other countires. I don't think you can change countires on tinder without paying for it. Badoo seems more popular with european girls. Has anyone had any success on it recently?

Badoo is great in EE. The hottest girls I met online in Ukraine where not from Tinder but badoo. Good thing about Badoo is that you can video call them once they respond to your first message. I did it in Ukraine and half of them would respond. on Badoo in your description they ask for your height and weight and most of them put theirs.

Only girl I met online in Poland so far was also from Badoo and not tinder a strong 7. I recommend it in EE

guys, i'm so confused with Badoo, i've used it for years, i never minded spending some $100/month for premium and additional messages, shows, etc b/c i got great bangs...but now they are charging 150 credits for every girl i message, and these girls aren't even that hot...and it's not guaranteeing a response.. that's like $2 per message and it's not letting me buy more than 550 credits at a time anyway so it's expensive

i asked badoo support what's going on and they have no idea and there is nothing on their site... you guys say this started a few years ago but from what i can tell this started just a few months ago.. i was using it in colombia and brazil with no issues.. more than 20 messages a day would cost me like 100 credits and that's fine.

Whenever I made profile there I could literally message maybe 3 girls at the most and all rest would need credits to send message (which I wouldn't ever buy). Also, when you register and browse girls, you will notice that girls who have profiles that allow you to send message to them would need credits to send them message just days later. It has all been carefully calculated to squeeze as much money from males as possible. Nothing weird considering that Badoo was created by generic Slavic white collar criminal.
