George Zimmerman Named in 911 Road Rage Call

He has PTSD.

Got himself in a situation, got beat up, and shot someone dead (1). Arrested, jailed, and tried on capital felonies in a huge national controversy (2).

That could warp your mind.

With PTSD, you are liable to get very angry very quickly and get in stupid situations.

This guy is like the new OJ Simpson. Got away with killing someone, is still acting a fool when he should just disappear quietly and will eventually end up in prison anyway.

He also pulled a gun on his girlfriend over something stupid too...

This guy is a nut. I don't understand how people are defending his actions NOW as a result of the Trayvon Martin case.

Like he was some angel and only because people were mean to him in the media he has turned into this violent angry guy.

Nope, OJ Simpsons chick didn't try and kill him.

The American public seem to think different, but there is legally nothing wrong with killing someone if it's in self-defence.

Yeah, technically it might have been self defense.

How many of us have had the experience of creepy homo stalkers following us around? It was pretty common when I was a teenager in the city. There were always creeps on the subway, in the library, in the parks.

Not that Zimmerman was a homo stalker; he was a wannabe cop. But the subjective perception of Martin of the guy following him down an alley was probably of a homo stalker who wanted to blow him, or worse.

Of course, Zimmerman had every legal right to be walking behind Martin in that alley at night with no one else around.

But Martin probably had a WTF moment and turned on the guy following him down an alley for no good reason he could think of.

Judging from Zimmermans anger outbursts, how likely is it that he actually started the fight with Martin?

All we know is they fought and Zimmerman ended up getting his ass beat before killing Martin. Zimmerman of course wouldnt admit if he had actually started the fight, threatened martins life, or anything like that.

Judging kn his violent crazy behavior, I have no trohble believing he started that fight.

Is it moral to start a fight, and when youre losing, kill the person you started the fight with?

I think we should also consider what going from 'being a guy who takes part in neighbourhood watch' to 'becoming a national public enemy' might do to your head. National public enemy. Everyone knows who you are, even people overseas, and more than half the strangers you meet think you're a evil thug.

Becoming agressive and defensive might be one persons reaction. The guy doesn't really want to hide and lay low, he was acquited and he wants a normal life. He can never have that now. He's probably always looking over his shoulder for vigilantes. Dude is probably angry and fearful.

Maybe he thinks he has been unfairly made the enemy and psychologically resorts to behaving like a cornered animal.

Frankly I think he should do something drastic and bail, such as radically change his appearance and open a bar in SE Asia or something.

Some of you guys need to admit you were wrong in defending this clown and stop riding his dick. Trayvon Martin case aside, he's been in trouble with his ex-wife, ex-girlfriend, has a restraining order put on him from a different ex, and now this. He also assaulted an officer when he was younger. This is not the behaviour of a healthy person.

His chances at a normal life were blown when he, for whatever reason, got out of his vehicle and got in a fight with a teenager.

Hey, wait a minute, in that case of the shot black robber, his background absolutely didn't matter, but now Zimmerman's background is of absolute importance?

He was probably angry and fearful all his life. I don't sense he was ever normal. He chose his actions that unfortunate night, the results are what they are. It doesn't make sense that he ever wanted a normal life, if he did he would never have been part of neighborhood watch. That isn't normal.

If we assume he was normal and it is normal to want to be part of neighborhood watch, then neighborhood watch groups would be running out of seats at their meetings. And I have not heard any news articles complaining that they had to move a neighborhood watch meeting to a college football stadium to accommodate the crazy wild demand to be part of neighborhood watch.

My comment might be a little sarcastic, I apologize. I am just trying to make the point, the guy was fucked up before Trayvon Martin.

This was dispelled a long time ago.

Do you really think he'd have gotten off for threatening someone with a gun AFTER he became Liberal America's Most Wanted?

But keep believing this, just as many people continue to believe he's a white guy who hunted down and murdered a black guy, despite all the evidence presented at trial.

So if Zimmerman's prior behavior before the incident matters in deciding what happened, then Michael Brown's should too, right?

Zimmermans actions both before and after he made the national stage show, if nothing else, a severe lack of indiscretion in his actions. This guy has demonstrated repeatedly that he has trouble with anger, lacks self control, and/or made it to adulthood without realising that actions have consequences.

The background of a teenager who's now dead don't weigh as heavily when only one action resulted in his being shot. With Zimmerman we can look at his actions over the past decade and say he has a tendency, for whatever reason, to end up in avoidably bad situations.

I'm not up and up on this, it is a waste of time and energy to worry about Zimmerman or how much the Democrats made asses out of themselves over it.

What actions before the Martin case was he involved in? I am not aware.

I know afterwards he had some false accusations against him that were complete crap. Sort of like the Democratic feminists ruining college campus full of false accusations.

At some point I think questions/comments like these are just trolling efforts to inflame discussions.

If Zimmerman had just gone home, Martin would still be alive today.

It's difficult to have reasonable discussions when people make active, conscious efforts to be unreasonable in their trains of thought.

The idea of trying to equivocate the actions of someone who got murdered and never in their lives killed anybody to someone who did is at a minimum odd, and at most something far more sinister.

Look, Zimmerman is not a guy I believe fits the type of guy who would even be a part of this community. He's a loser. Does anyone really want to invest their time arguing otherwise?

I honestly believe most of the people in this community actually want to win in life, they're making active efforts to get their minds right, get their bodies right, get their money right, and surround themselves with high-quality people.

That dude stands for most things that guys here purport to despise, yet some in this community, are rationalizing beyond belief that somehow he's a victim, that the world is out to get him.

Pat yourselves on the back for a job well done, you've supported a fat, unaccomplished, grown-ass bum, who's only claim to fame is killing a teenager, one who may not have been perfect, one who may have not been friends with your little brothers or nephews, but one who wouldn't have possibly believed he was going to take a walk to a 7-11 and end up dead on his way back.

And yet Trayvon Martin was called a thug. The "Neighborhood Watchman" Zimmerman is turning out to have a worse criminal record than him. Karma works in many ways.

Regardless of whether you "support" Zimmerman (whatever the fuck that means), the theory that he somehow started the fight with Trayvon is so nonsensically ludicrous is drives me berserk.

1. Trayvon didn't have a scratch on him other than the gunshot wound. So if Zimmerman started this one-sided "fight", he did so without laying a finger on Trayvon. How is that possible? Beats me.

2. Are we forgetting that Zimmerman had called the police, and knew they were about to show up any second? If you're out to pick a fight with someone, why the fuck would you go out of your way to make sure the police catch you in the act? That makes absolutely no sense.

3. Trayvon was just outside his home while Zimmerman was still on the phone with police, but instead of just going inside, he circled back toward Zimmerman. Is that the behavior of someone who's scared and just defending himself?

4. For what it's worth, a lie detector determined Zimmerman's account was true. Those things are about 85% accurate.

I'm sick of people making this about liking vs. disliking Zimmerman. I have no opinion on the man himself, but facts are facts. The prosecution had no case against him (which legal experts all acknowledged at the time, if you recall), and he was only charged to appease idiots like Al Sharpton. Nothing he does now can change the overwhelming evidence in his favor in the Trayvon Martin case.
