Regardless of whether or not Zimmerman stalked Trayvon, or Trayvon provoked him, how the fuck does a guy get off after blasting a 17 year old? Meanwhile, people are getting sent to jail just for brandishing a weapon in a threatening manner at another adult. Something doesn't not add up.

I'm sick of hearing about this loser. Seriously, how the fuck does he keep getting into shit. Even O.J. Stayed out of trouble for a couple of years before stealing shit.

Here's Zimmerman stating that his rationale was that Martin was a black teenager, and that he didn't like that criminals escape unpunished.

You also seem to forget that at some point, for some reason, Zimmerman got out of his vehicle. Had he stayed in his truck, none of this would have ever happened. The documented record of this event ends with Zimmerman in his vehicle, and begins anew with a 911 call saying that there is screaming and someone has been shot.

1.) Who is telling me this? The man who would go to jail for murder if he gave anyone reason to doubt his story.
2.) How does he know this? He's the only one living who was there for the encounter.
3.) Given 1 & 2, is it possible he's wrong? Yes, it's very possible he lied to cover his own ass.

Why are you guys rehashing this? It's over. Both men acted stupidly and Trayvon just happened to get shot and killed because he attacked the wrong guy.

This is the state of FL. It's not smart to try to get into street fights with random citizens here given how many carry guns. I wouldn't recommend it in Texas, either.

All of these incidents indicate that Zimmerman is one of those people who looks for confrontations over stuff he doesn't think is right. Thus, he doesn't have the correct mentality to work in law enforcement which is what he originally wanted to do. Not being able to do that, he does all this faux law-enforcement stuff like participating in neighborhood watch, confronting drivers he thinks did something wrong, etc.

Unfortunately, because of this personality quirk of his, he will continue to get in trouble. I agree that he was within the law when he killed Martin to protect himself, but as others have said if he just held back a little the entire situation could have been prevented in the first place. This is what he needs to do when he doesn't like something that's going on, he needs to count to 10, take some deep breaths, and go through a deliberate decision-making process (like the OODA loop), so he will exercise better impulse control.

Give him another year (or possibly less than that). The guy is a ticking time bomb and it's just a matter of time before he commits a serious crime, gets convicted, and ends up in prison.

He most certainly was not. I cannot believe people still believe the Al Sharpton propaganda sketch. All the evidence points to a drug-addled criminal trying to break into houses. He followed along to check up on it as any responsible citizen does. And the criminal went into that special mode, whether due to drugs or something else, and attacked Zimmerman.

No one has time to wait for the police. That is such a ridiculous sentiment that has completely destroyed our society. Citizens are the first line of defense against crime and should be where it ends. If someone had taken action like he did much earlier, that thug would have gotten help or into some sort of program. In the old days, a neighborhood worked together and knew each other and prevented crime. Now, its "call the police" and stupid crap like that. The police never come until shit is stolen or people are dead.

The case never should have gone to trial. It was clear from the very beginning he was completely innocent, but the PC and special agenda brigade had to barge in and demand a trial. Now the poor guy got run in the wringer and lost his mind. Have you ever known someone who has been in court for something they did or did not do? I have. Its a living hell for them even when they are innocent, and they never come out the same.
