I'm not one of those people who cry that the sky is falling, though I certainly think it makes sense to not rely on the government too much. As many of you are, I'm a proponent of self sufficiency and independence.
Have any of you read Neil Strauss' Emergency? He's clearly a very neurotic man but certain parts of that book got me interested in becoming more self sufficient.

You can pretty much farm your own fish, fruits, and vegetables with this thing. I think there is strong potential and need for this in urban centers in particular. The US imports almost all of its fish from China and SE Asia. We can't drink the water in China and SE Asia, so how come we can eat the fish?
