Questions about traveling and earning cash?

Questions about traveling and earning cash?

Today, I officially made the decision to not go into the Air Force. I was contemplating this option at first because I wanted to learn some new skills, make cash, and have some traveling opportunities.

As far as education and learning new skills goes, I found two great websites. If any of you guys are interested in free online courses ranging from science to engineering to math to business... look below
https://www.coursera.org/
https://www.udacity.com/

Anyways, I do not want to be in the military. There are too many things to not like and I won't bother listing them here.... but I still want to engage in travel opportunities and start saving some money for my entrepreneurial pursuits. Aside from online blogging what are some ways I can make some cash? I already have a list of countries I want to go to. And I know where my first stop will be.

Also, other key things I need before traveling? Already have cash aside for the passport.

I turned 21 a few months ago. In case any of you were curious about my age.

Get into phone/tech repair. It's what I did. You'd be surprised how many people will pay 20$ to have a phone unlocked or flashed. [Image: wink.gif]

Making money while traveling (i.e. making money online) is hard. Expect to fail a lot before you start making any money consistently.

That said, the fastest way to start earning cash is to offer a service of some kind. It could be anything: article writing, graphic design, BS review videos on Fiverr, etc etc.

Just try a few different things, see what there's a demand for, and then do the heck out of that thing.

Regarding travel gear. Two things that have really come in handy for me while on the road are:

1. A really sturdy backpack.

This is the backpack I've used for over 4 years. It's built like a tank.

I originally got it for BJJ practice because it's made from hemp so it's antimicrobial and doesn't retain odors.

You take your stinky ass training clothing out of the bag and 5 minutes later there's almost no smell.

I've stuffed this bag to the hilt and it's never ripped or even lost a zipper.

After living in Asia and having just about everything I buy fall apart on me in a matter of months, I really can't recommend this high quality piece of gear enough.

2. iPhone.

This is mostly because WiFi can be non-existent in many parts of the world (despite hotel advertisements to the contrary) so you'll be doing a lot of 3g tethering to get work done.

This will save your ass when you're on deadline and keep you from going crazy when you're out in the sticks with nothing to do.
