I usually wear skateboarding shoes with shorts. Running shoes look good also but that's not my thing

I think socks are just as important though. Either coordinate it with the shoe color or go sockless. I had a friend once who always wore white tubesocks with shorts when he went out, no telling how many lays that cost him...

when its nice out, i usually wear sandals or flip flops with shorts. Otherwise any type of athletic shoe usually looks good with shorts, especially if they match your shirt.

I only wear shorts when running, working out, surfing, ect. The same rule applies with tennis shoes. Always wear long pants when gaming women, unless your at the beach or pool. The most casual you'll see me dressed is boot cut jeans, Rainbow flip-flops, and a nice shirt. Even then that's stretching it.

I wear shorts all the time, even in the winter when I can get away with it and always around the house. I wear knee-length ones though and mostly men's cause women's are too short and seem to be made to ride way up your ass. I hate wearing pants and really hate long johns. I only wear em when I must and here in the winter you must if you don't want frostbite

In Florida everybody wears shorts, I wear pants maybe 10 days a year.This year my best luck has been at the Nike and adidas factory stores for a bigger selection.
I have suede pumas in every color combo thats available and lots of running shoes.

I never wear shorts, mostly because "Those guys" have ruined it for most, that being the Jort/Cargo/Flannel short guys. You wear shorts you're immediately lumped in with these tools. I wear cheap ass basketball shorts to the gym thats it.

There's also a second more dorky reason, is that I feel "safer" in pants, cant explain it but I just feel like if shits gonna go down I'm better off in pants lol

Its crazy to me how there can be so many different styles and attitudes here all to achieve the same goal...Being 23 and a college athlete, I feel like I have a much different approach and style than 95% of the forum. Unless I'm going out on a date or to a bar/club, I'm always in mesh basketball shorts. I've already been criticized for my opinions on wearing Jordan sneakers, and im sure I'll catch a lot of heat for this one too,but I wear basketball shorts all of the time. Going to the store, the library, the mall, its basketball shorts for me and I make it work. Also, somebody mentioned that high socks were dorky but I think with an athletic look, and specifically baggy basketball shorts, "no show" socks are a no-no. I prefer to wear calf length socks but I don't pull them up tight, I push them down.

i live in a college town, too. if you can't beat em.. join em. everyone walks around looking like they just came from the gym.

i work in a warehouse where i can wear anything and i want to wear things that wont easily be messed up. i split the difference and go adidas originals.

Style is personal and plays heavily into your attitude and personality. Two identical twins could pull off drastically different styles in clothing despite their identical looks.

It depends where you live. I came from the UK so people liked to dress up and wearing basketball shorts would limit the amount of lizards available to me.
In fact, one of my spars used to go to a club wearing a shirt and tie and he would get lizards abundant too.
I tried that for a while as well and it was effective.
Moving to NA if I do that shyt here, people will think I'm a Narc or some other shyt.
More casual here.

Some of you guys take this dressing up thing way too seriously. You're heading out to something absolutely dress up, but it's blistering heat outside and you need to rock at a bare minimum jeans in case you see a girl you want to game? Dressing to me is about representing what you're about and showing off the best you. When it's hot out I'll rock some shorts and form fitting t, not ed hardy muscle douchebag tight t and a hot pair of kicks and I'm good to game and I don't feel like I'm sweating my balls off. Time and place of course, this is casual time, mid day taking my dog out for a walk on the pier where chicks are everywhere. If I'm heading out at night no matter how hot I'm stepping it up. I would think quite honestly if I were with chicks who were wearing little booty shorts and flip flops that they'd think I was retarded if I were in a button down and jeans or khakis every time we went out in the sun. Don't be afraid to show a lil leg boys, it isn't scaring any girls off trust me just rock it better than the average cargo shorted hollister wearing high school kid.

I wear shorts (boardshorts) every single day and AF1 (air force ones) or sanucks, even to clubs (even high end types like nikki beach)..but I live on the beach. I'm not a flip flop kinda guy.

When I go to the city, I wear jeans.

On another point, imagine getting home and undressing infront and your tan on your face, neck, and arms, and your legs are as white as your sheets and you look like you're wearing knee-high white stockings. Most important thing about clothes is that you should feel confident in them. When I'm suited up I feel like I'm armor plated and nothing can faze me.

I like shorts on a hot day because they make me feel more relaxed.

Don't ever wear something because everyone else is! I always wear some j's with my jeans. I even had my uncle comment on my jordans and he's old school! You would have a heat stroke down here if you wore a fucking suit outside this time of year.

I went to a music festival last weekend and it was in the high 90's all weekend. You know ya boy was in some baggy ecko shorts, some skateboarding shoes and a wife beater. There were osme people there in pants and button ups drenched in sweat lol.
