Dressing for summer afterwork hangout?

Working corporate nowadays which isnt as bad as I thought. Good thing is on the Champs Elysees in Paris so as soon as I step out the doors is game time.

Due to commuting time Im looking for a way to look sharp and cool coming off of work and hitting the bars/venue/dancing right away without having to go back home to change.

My main concern is how to look relaxed and not too formal. Default office wear is fitted suit and tie, and we r allowed to wear colored fitted shirt here.

I bring a couple of fancy ties to swap out my formal black ties. Shoes too, cant go dancing in my nice perforated Boston. Usually I lose the jacket, swap out the ties and roll up the sleeve. Sometimes I bring my feral necklace, unbutton 2 and lose the tie. Pic is from a night out right after work.

It works rather well if Im hitting up the bar. But if I go salsa dancing or more active stuff where some people go topless with shorts I feel a bit overdressed sometimes. Also it really feels rather bland and repetitive after a while.

How do you guys do it? Any way to look relaxed cool after coming off work? Also what do you do with all your crap like wallets, keys, card and shit? Stuffing your fitted pants pockets look horrible.

I'm assuming that's you with the face blocked out. (Would smash all those girls). First, I suggest contrast. Dark pants-lighter colored shirt, or vice versa. Your current look is too dark and looks bland.

How can you casual it up? Easy. Lose the tie. Roll up the sleeves, and change to less formal shoes. You can also change belts (in fact you should) to go with the shoes. Something fun and more casual. Just store the accessories in your office and you're good to go.

Edit: sorry just read your post. I think you're doing pretty much the right things. Aside from bringing an entire change of clothes, shoes/accessories are the way to casual it up. Are you in a hot climate? Can you wear linen pants to work?

Yep thats me bro [Image: tongue.gif] those were my beta days. The girl on the right next to me, almost smash her but I f up

Im in Paris so its ok, around 25-30 celsius in summer. This is a big finance firm so linen is pushing it a bit.

Hmm my shirt palette is a bit dark other than the obvious white ones. Im also looking at standing out more like Soup suggested.

Would a red dress shirt be a good idea? Mine is like this [Image: e1c8e307e92dcc8d968127d1aa692cc4.jpg]

Thinking of getting some bracelet to spice it up, but Ive never seen anyone in pants and dress shirt with bracelet. Not sure how it would go.

Guy on the right looks quite alpha for being an asian. Look and learn asian-cels.

For your style, I would get a shirt with some pattern. Full on purple is a little much imo, and your tie is also to dominating. Get something thinner with a little more colors.

The guy on the right, is it his gf?

Paris? Damn, Asian girls with French accents. I can't even imagine it. One of the simplest ideas is just to look at what the male mannequins are wearing in the store displays and wear that. They've already been styled by a professional stylist, so why re-invent the wheel? Pants' idea of some pattern is a good one. How about some gingham?
