spam voice broadcasts

Several times a week I get these annoying voice broadcast calls - "wait, please don't hang up! Press 9 now to be connected to our live webinar on how YOU can make $10,000 a month from home" bullshit. Sometimes they hit me more than once the same day, but it's rare.

I've tried different call blocking apps to block the numbers- I use a android, so I have Call Blocker as well as A Firewall. It's helped some as they will call from the same numbers if you don't block, but they keep calling from new numbers too.

A few months ago I got a work iphone with a new number - I don't really use it, but I notice this work iphone gets hit up by spam calls too! So that got me wondering - if I changed my number, I might not be better off. Do you any of you guys get these spam calls as often as I do? Is there any solution, beyond a drastic measure like using an app to block all calls that aren't from contacts, etc.

Are you on the Do Not Call registry? I'm assuming you're stateside.

I can't recall ever getting those calls.

Yep, I'm on the DNC registry. I also manually report the calls. They are fly-by-night/overseas operations that don't give a crap about the registry. I think there's just too many new numbers being generated and not enough enforcement to crack down.
