Alright, to make a long story short this weekend i went out with this girl who works at the building i live in who is from colombia. after meeting up with her friends who were riding 4-wheelers we went to this electronic music festival at which point she took ecstacy and started spilling her heart out about how she misses her husband and blablablabla whatever. at that point i should have just left but for whatever reason (ie: horniess) i went with her to this latin club. BAD CALL. i never felt so self-conscious of my whiteness in my entire life.
anyways, heres my question: how could i have maintained my confidence in that situation without coming off like a total tool? the easy response is "fuck them," but latin chicks are fucking HOT. how can i pull an obama and transcend race? yes we can! give me some answers damnit!

I have no idea what the problem is. Most latin girls love white guys. You actually have an ADVANTAGE over Latino guys since Latino cultures almost universally have a preference for people with light skin. I'm a black guy, it's going to be way harder for me to pull a hot latina than it would be for you. And Latin women are my fav so I'm in a more tough position than you. Now if you come off as the goofy, clumsy white guy who can't dance, you'll be laughed at like a gringo. But if you have some style, know something about their culture, know how to salsa, maybe learn a little spanish, you'll be tearing us some latin ass, trust me. I don't know one white dude who loves Latinas who has any problem getting them.

It varies by area. The Dominican and Puerto Rican girls in the Northeast don't seem too interested in white guys, if they date non-Hispanic it's usually with black guys. In places like Florida and Texas and California, it's different.

Yeah, probably true. When back east, blacks and Puerto Ricans often mix from what I saw. And I don't recall seeing that many of them with white guys, so I guess you're right. Probably because Dominicans and Puerto Ricans are more mixed with black in their ancestry. But if you like Mexican girls or Peruvian girls, they definitely dig white guys.

I like standing out. I lived in Taiwan where I was the white person for 50 miles. After the initial shock wears off, you get used to it and learn to love it. Ive been clubbing in downtown Orlando where me and my buddy were the only white guys there, and it was all black people.. I never felt uncomfortable. I now live in South Central Los Angeles in a black/latino neighborhood... it's alright.. the only thing that sucks is the pervasive crime here.

I like being the minority. I think white people will become more like asian people and will become to be considered a model minority in general society. I think this is one of the benefits of America's shifting racial demographics.

Btw, Ive never heard of anyone say "I don't date white guys". Girls will say "I don't date asian guys, black guys, hispanic guys", but have you ever heard of anyone saying they won't date white people? Never heard of it. Girls are indifferent if you're white...it may even benefit you.

I think the only time I've ever heard that was from white women.
