Costa Rica-Osa Peninsula Datasheet

A little background. My family hauled ass from the States in 2004 and bought a large farm out in a remote part of the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica. Ten Years later I'm 18, moving back to the States and thought I'd share some notes on getting some in this remote area.

The only town of significance is Puerto Jimenez, a small town of perhaps 3,000 people located at the end of a road on the gulf side of the Peninsula. There is one bar in the town that is worth going to for a night out and that is Agua Luna, Saturday nights are the only time anything is going on. Tourist girls in my experience are far better than local girls as they tend to get hitched early when they get knocked up as they don't use birth control.

There is one road, unpaved, that leads out of town out towards the main draw of the area. 25 miles down the road is a nature preserve, Corcovado National Park. At the end of the road there is a small area called Carate that has a high number of lodges where tourists often stay before going out into the preserve.

About half way between Jimenez and Carate there is another concentration of lodges based in the hills near a excellent beach area called Matopalo. There are three excellent surf breaks in Matopalo, in fact the surf is world class during season and I would recommend anyone who surfs come down just for that, and there is a large community of expats from the U.S and Germany in the area. Every Friday night these people and many of the tourists meet at the local bar called Martina's. This is a good night for getting in some game if there are tourists girls around.

The high season which is Jan-March and June-July, is your best bet to check out these lodges or hang around the tourist areas for girls staying at these places.

Finally, here is a final pool of chicks to draw on. There is a British research station near a river called Rio Piro about 8 miles from my farm. I used to walk there to game girls. There is usually a high concentration of young girls in their late teens and early 20s here at this station, and there has always been an excellent ratio of men to women at the station, usually 3-4 girls to every guy. Their numbers peak in June-July where there can be as many as >40. Every Saturday they go out to a local bar about 4 more miles down the road towards Carate called Biagual, it is the only bar between Martina's and Jimenez. The son of the bar's owner is a local player and has some decent game skills, but he is operating in a void where he is the only guy around with any game, anybody with decent game should be able to overcome him as I did on occasion. The girls from the Station also go into town every couple of Saturdays and get trashed at Agua Luna. They have been stuck in a remote jungle area for weeks and are usually "ready."

My advice to anybody who for some reason comes to the area. Get a place for Friday Night in Matopalo and hit the beaches and plant the seed for any attractive girls to go to Martina's that night. On Saturday head into town and keep your eyes open for any British girls hanging around as that means they are probably staying in town for the night. In that case get a room at one of the many small hotels in town and go bar hopping later in the night. A good chance to approach is at the local Pizza restaurant named Pizza Mail.It. where they usually eat dinner, or at the restaurant Del Fins which at the end of the promenade that runs along the water front. If they're not in town then head out to Biagual and try your luck there. It can be hard to close a deal there though, as there's no where to bounce to. I had an advantage in that I was able to befriend the heads of the research program and could spend Saturday nights after parties back at their camp.

I won't be down in the area for awhile, but if I ever am and someone shoots me a PM they could use my place as a home base to check out the area.

My dad is an old surfer who used to go down there on surf trips. Used to take my mom on some of the trips to get her away from her boyfriends. They didn't like the way the States were going back in the early 2000's, and all the development that was going on where we were in Florida was pissing them off. So politics and modernization convinced them it was time to move.

The life isn't all that bad, unless your my age and looking to game. Then it's hell. Just not enough people around and the language barrier is a bitch. That's why I was down on my knees thanking God when I first heard that girl say, " "ello governor, which way to the local pub?"Angel

OP-
Questions-
How much does it cost/month to have a reasonable quality of life (health care, meat every meal, clean and safe accommodations, Internet, money for some drinking and dates, etc.) in Costa Rica?

Is it true most of the fine girls in Costa Rica are visiting Colombians?

Are the local girls out in the Country and San Jose really fly or mainly rough looking?

Are neighboring countries like Panama worth checking out?

Is the local food good or shitty?

How much better is the surfing in Costa Rica than SoCal?

Is it a bunch of massive waves and not too rocky of surface when you wipe out?

For college game-
By girl type
Bad ass blondes- Arizona State, University of Georgia Athens
Hot Brunettes with Latinas- Florida State (tons of Miami hotties go there)
Mixed Bag of talent- Chico State, University of Texas Austin, University of Florida
McQueen reccomended Bloomington, Indiana (whatever the big campus there is called- plenty if very attractive blonde Midwestern chicks there). Heard the University of Cincinatti is cheap to live in and lots of hotties. UTK in Knoxville is good but kind of country like University of Alabama or Auburn (tons of big titty Southern chicks there).

I'd say go Arizona State out of all of them but be warned the local vibe is like UFC gym rats meets a desert Jersey Shore in Ed Hardy gear (at least that was my impression when Inwas in Phoenix).

Florida State would be hard to beat though and they have anything academically anyone could get want.

I think University of California @ Santa Barbara (onl campus in America with its own private beaches- drunk colle girls in bikinis on the beaches after class and a big ass Halloween party every October in Isla Vista) would be incredible (they have mountains beaches trails surfing mixed variety of women when Invisited the area- State St. is where all the action is on the weekend) but you better have a stack of paper, find a good grant, or be ready to pay back a lot of money after graduation. Waiters and bar tenders make great money in SB as its a high roller coty. A chick who was a waitress at an upscalemseafood restaurant on Stearns Wharf (its a city pier you can drive cars onto with tons of shops bars restaurants people watching in SB) told me she was goin to school at UcSB and theplace required patrons to tip basically tip 10% or $20/table and $30 would not be uncommon as you cant get out of there with steak fish lobster booze for 2 for less than $200)
Another is University of San Diego- great location but $$$ That's why I'd say Florida State (cheap, in state tuition, lots of talent).
Or do 1 year like a baller at UCSB (waiters at the nice places on Sterns Wharf make $$$) and finish up at FSU.

Hard to say on the living costs as my situation was one where we owned land outright. I'd say for a single person you could get by on $1,000 a month if you want some extra money to throw around. Food is decently priced, not too expensive unless your going for imported foods. It was aboput $150-200 every 2 weeks for a my family of four. If you live by the sea you can get sea food cheap. Meat is priced okay, just make sure you have refrigeration or it will spoil fast.

Health Care is socialized so costs are cheep, but I believe you wouldn't qualify for government insurance if your not a citizen or have a visa. So you'd be paying out of pocket unless you have some sort of international policy.

The kicker is rent, are you staying in the city or in the country? I know people who go down with nothing on their back and simply walk up to lodge owners and ask for jobs and get them and a place to stay. A lot of places will let you work for room and board and some money. The problem is officially you shouldn't be hired as employer's are only supposed to hire locals. I also see a lot of people who go down trying to make a life off the grid and end up losing everything. It would be best to have some sort of job that can be done online like financing or coding.

Also transportation. You can get by on walking and buses/taxis in the cities, but you'd be better off picking up a 250cc motorbike and using that to get around, enough room for you and a girl, a lot more economical than a truck.

An average night out on the town for me would cost $100-$150, and I was being generous. I'd pay for a room in town, invite some friends to stay for free, grab a bottle of Jim Beam, ice, cups, a few bottles of coke, $16 for the JB at the liquor store, and then hit the bars after we ate. Rum is cheap, whiskey expensive.

As for the girls, it really depends on the amount of Indian blood they have in them. In the really rural areas the girls aren't as much to my liking because they have that sort of look, wide noses, round faces, etc.. But then you'd get these real stunners every once in awhile, or girls who had natural blonde hair and really European facial features.

San Jose and the central valley have better looking girls in my opinion, more Spanish proper blood, and higher numbers. Never heard the Colombian part, but if I had to guess the answer would be no.

I'd say that 30% of the girls I see are lookers, the rest not so much, that increases some when you get into San Jose. I keep going back to the blood part but it does make a difference, thinking back the ones from the country usually didn't age well, were shorter and rounder, those with more Spanish blood tend to stay thinner and better looking.

Local food is actually pretty decent for the most part. San Jose is heavily Americanized in its newer areas so it has a good range to offer. The country parts are decent, lots of rice and beans and beef. I'd really look into places along the coast as the availability of sea food can make a big difference.

Panama is dirt cheap. They use the dollar but there is less money in circulation so inflation is way down. Were talking about dinners for $5 at good restaurants. I haven't spent much time in Panama but from what I hear it can be worth it, it is far more modernized and tourist friendly.

Surf is excellent! I have never surfed SoCal but from what I have heard it is better. Where I was at there were three great right hand point breaks, swell right before I left was double overhead. It is considered crowded when there we 15 people out. Much less fighting for the peak than in the States, though you still have to do that with some with the locals.

There are beach breaks where there are no rocks. The three breaks I would surf had some rocks, but you just had to know where they were and not run over them, if the swell is big enough you don't even have to worry about that. The bottom of one is rocky, but since it it a high tide break you should never hit the bottom even in a wipe out. Another break has rocks at either end of the beach, but the break is in a cove that is about 200 yards of sand. The worry isn't really in wiping out, it is being caught in a clean up set and getting pushed into rock formations. IT doesn't happen often though.

Pavones is a break across the gulf from us, has a famous left hand break that you can ride for over a mile, you can surf it for as long as your legs hold out.

Did you ever party in San Jose? Are logistics good or is it really spread out?

What are you going to do for college?

I wish I were 18 again if so id go to several colleges-
1st year go to the biggest crazy freshman party place (my cousin got lots of notches his first semester at UTK)
2nd year go to Santa Barbara (only college with a beach in campus drinking college bikini clad girls)
3rd year do a year in Europe ask on the forum where good party schools are- Zelecorpion and DaveR knows EE very well
4th year- maybe stay in Europe or go and do another year if you have to to get a quality degree where you can be location independent so you can game and make paper anywhere you choose.

I never got the chance to go out in San Jose. Next time I'm down there I plan on it though.

Logistics wise though it can be a nightmare. Escazu is the young area of the city, it you can find a place there to stay you will probably be fine. Otherwise you have a very spread out city that merges with other cities, all with a horrible traffic problem. Old downtown is a nightmare, don't stay there if you can help it, try and get out into on of the younger areas of the city or near the university.

College is tough for me. I'm planning going for a degree in engineering on an ROTC scholarship. So I don't know if I can transfer schools after two years or not, and ROTC only offers scholarships for certain schools. If I can't, it's looking like I would be hitting Florida State which would be easy to get into because I'm a native and my family and I are Southern, Auburn or Duke are possibilities, or Washington and Lee/VMI in Virginia.

I might go down and work in the Virgin Islands for a few months later on this year, so I'm looking forward to trying my game on all the tourist girls that are stepping off the cruise ships.

It's funny you mention cruise ships- my Family has business associates who subcontract for the Cruise Line corporations.

Why the Virgin Islands for girls? Don't more chicks to to port in Jamaica or the Bahamas? Vi girls are probably more upscale and exotic tourists then the former islands visitors.

Is the best surfing in Costa Rica on the Pacific or Carribean coast?

I bet you've seen Latinas from everywhere- in my experience I'd say Colombians or Mexicans from Gudalajara are the best Latinas. Argentinas are petite and cute but so neurotic- it's not worth it. I'm part Brazilian so most of those chicks don't excite me too much. Quality Mexicans are probably my favorite.

Medellin is pretty close to CR.

i've heard airfares cheap in Latin America- guys I know have been to Cuba from Mexico RT for $250.

Working for uncle you won't owe much $ but what if they get in some major bs War like WW3. Isn't a little debt better than dying for the system? I'm not really into American politics I just don't want to see a RVF bro get played as a pawn for the man. Your parents were on point getting out of this Rothschild bankster fiefdom know as the USSA.

FSU is very good but if ever saw UCSB you'd see why I rave about it like I do. Santa Barbara is the beautifulest place I've ever seen.

Airfare is good, about $170 for a one way flight from Miami to San Jose.

Pacific, there is some good stuff on the Caribbean side, but it's also covered sometimes from swells by the Islands out in the Caribbean.

My dad manages big construction projects in the VI, so I got a job in construction down there if I want, the only other option is that I stay on the East Coast of Florida for awhile.

I come from a military family and I'm patriotic. Plus, I'm planning on going into politics so a military career is very helpful for that.

On another note, nice mentioning of the Rothschilds, I was raised on conspiracy theories, but lets not talk about that on this forum.
