As a guy that has been around for sometime, I am disturbed by this trend of fat people. Of course I don't care about other dudes, but I care about chicks getting fat.
I was out recently and saw a bunch of high school girls, they all had thick thighs and were a few years from exploding.
It is so bad that I am starting to see this as the majority. Christ I went to the local strip club and the trend has spread there.

The thing I like about Europe is that this trend is a slow progression, I am referring to non Western Europe. Facial looks are subjective, but fat is fat and never good unless you like fat chicks. I am sorry I will never accept fat people, all the other cutesy names they have as well pisses me off.

I feel at some point I will have to move from North America because of this epidemic.

I think this could be a big part of why the level of game needed is increasing. Any girl who is not fat gets a major bump in terms of points/10, relatively speaking. Basically the market supply shrinks and the price goes up.

Is there a region where this is occurring? I don't travel that broadly anymore but the youth group at my church has a couple of chubby girls and zero fatties, thats not unusual for these parts. There are a handful of gigantic adults but not an abnormal amount.

Walmart, now that is a place you can see unhealthy people of all stripes, same for the dollar store.

It's inevitable. We live in a world where everything is geared towards maximum convenience and instant gratification. The explosion of social media and the touch of a button validation blah blah blah. What did you expect to happen?

People are lazier than ever before because things are easier than they have even been. Everything is now now now. Society does not ostracise the fat and unhealthy like they should, hell this shit is actually celebrated.

'She's curvy' 'Your how a woman should be' 'Your beautiful just the way you are' etctera etctera. All this kind of crap fed to the fragile egos of people everywhere, everybody walking on eggshells so not to upset eachother.

The whole world has gotten soft, mind, body and everything else.

There's a mathematical aspect to to this as well, which is that given the amount of calories the US food industry produces, an increase in fatness is inevitable. This is probably also why more guys in the US bulk up. 100 years ago it would have been too expensive for most to do so.

You'll find fat is the norm in predominantly "wild west" cities like Edmonton, Alberta, where men (even low tech dipshits are fairly prosperous there because of oil money) outnumber the women and this makes women lazy and spoiled. My girlfriend is from Winnipeg and she says most Edmonton girls wouldn't be able to compete elsewhere because they would be pathetically outclassed.

I was at a strip joint last week and the quality of the strippers was beyond putrid. Ugly, fugly and obese. Throw the uber-trashy homemade tats in the mix and wow...it was like the Cantina scene from the original Star Wars.

One of these feral hogs sat next to me and had the fucking balls to ask if I wanted a dance. I laughed at her and said: "Are you kidding?" Please go away."

I didn't even finish my drink, I just left. I don't think I'll ever waste my time or gas going there again. This used to be a nice place to break a cold streak. Now? The only way I'd get a hard on with any of the beasts I saw was by being force fed Viagra at gunpoint.

I am in Canada, I think the appeal with Montreal is that the gals there are generally slim and skinny. They seem to have adopted that euro lifestyle of walking and riding bicycles.
Toronto is generally a car city, suburbia at least. Every punk wants a car as soon as they turn of age. A few times I have taken the bus, I have seen people pay to take a bus one stop. WTF

Isn't America generally a fat nation. Sure South Beach and a few places maybe the exception.

It pains me how people think that their body type is not a choice. As someone who's put on weight and cut weight in their life before, losing weight is the easy part. All you have to do is control your intake. Yes, the same is true for bulking up, but it's a lot easier to keep yourself busy and naturally skip a few meals than be constantly over-eating beyond comfortable levels just to put on some pounds.

Obesity costs the United States $190B in health care costs every year. That's almost twice as much as the great evil of our generation, cigarettes, which only costs $96B in healthcare costs.

Although I am neither, I sympathize way more with cigarette smokers than fatties. At least nicotine is a physical addiction. Being obese is just laziness.

Don't expect me to jump on the 'big is beautiful' train. I'm a white guy, my SMV is through the roof in SEA, and they know how to take care of their bodies. If I'm ever going to settle down, unless I get crazy lucky, it won't be with a westerner.

To understand how ridiculous the fat acceptance movement is, they had to argue that they were disabled in order to not be discriminated against in the workplace.

Luckily I haven't run into a fat stripper. If I ever see one, I'd give her a hundred bucks to go home.

The average weight of people is going up in Western countries and the media would you have believe, "Oh, you're eighty-five kilos and have a BMI that puts you in the overweight range, but you're still average so that's okay." It isn't. If you're a fat tub of lard, you're a fat tub of lard.

The worse thing I've found is that is now the societal norm and 'thin shaming' is much more acceptable than fat shaming. I was very thin in my late teens/early twenties and the number of fat whales that would make comments about my weight was ludicrous. These days my retort wouldn't be very nice, but generally fat = unhealthy. Don't try to deflect attention from your own issues.

Now I've got a little bit of a belly (too much alcohol) but there is a snowball's chance in Hell I'll let myself become fat. It's called self-discipline and willpower but many women in our insta-society no longer have it.

I usually just laugh in their faces when they say stuff like that. When you're a skinny guy, you don't realize you're small when you're slipping through a crowd or can be the last guy in on a busy elevator. When you're built like the incredible hulk, you just don't care. When you're fat, you're self conscious and constantly reminded of it. They shame skinny people for the same reason feminists exist. To bring everyone down to their level, rather then actually self-improve.

This one ex-fat girl I met tried to tell me that we should accept fat people more. I told her that I don't respect ticking time bombs. Being a fatty mcfattenstein is horrible for your health. So what if skinny people can also have cholesterol problems? They have one less problem than a fat person and that's being fat.

Sorry if I seem to be a bit vitriolic, it's just that this topic pisses me off being my grandfather is about 6'0 and 350 pounds and he's definitely not all muscle. It's a shame just because he's had SO many health problems related to his weight, but he won't work on it.

Looking at basic food ingredients, economic downfall - I predict that the fat population will grow.

The poorer the people, the worse the food they eat, unless there is a real shortage of food or total lack of funds to buy anything. But as long as there are food-stamps, there will be enough food for everyone and most will be crap.

Actually studies and real-life examples show a strong correlation between average income of a population and health, fitness, height and even IQ. In the West it is the Dutch and the Norwegians who recently had the most healthy and tallest populations in the world (excluding now the enormous immigrant populations there). They also had very high wages to support their superior eating habits.

Generally the trend will stay and you will have to pay more and more in order to eat in any decent quality. Alternatives are some developing countries where it will take longer to catch up to the West.

Rudebwoy - I don't know if it's an Anglo thing as some even argue that the English are too accepting of certain practices that are detrimental. And since the fat Canada you speak of is the English Canada and America is largely an English speaking country, maybe the fat spread is an English thing.

As I said, I have a female friend who is French who lives in France and we converse with from time to time and she says that fat people are undesired in France with no apologies from the society.

They accept their lot and are relegated to the dregs of society.

Fat is definitely annoying and maybe it's a combo of comfort living, comfort eating and a lot of excuses to re-accept an annoying body shape.

To boot, fat lizards don't even like fat men and will only lust after ripped men with six packs. This shows a total lack of acceptance.

Moma- I live in Québec and its more or less similar imo. Most guys consider fatties as a joke and are judged to be wholly undesirable for dating and sex. They are just tolerated, really, which is incredible since this province is strongly feminist, leftist and matriarchial in many aspects of society(school administration, teachings, government, divorce rape, gender relations etc)

Fatties are not brutally rejected as in France(lets be real, Québec is a North American place who has the same lifestyle of NA, and definitely receives Anglo-Saxon influences, despite being clearly different-its a mix of french, european, amerindian and anglo-saxon cultures). The fact that its still in North America, and therefore subject to pernicious influences from Anglo-America softens the ruthless rejection of fatties and fattie acceptance from wider society. But the recent french immigration to Québec(100.000 french from france here) will probably reinforce the general hostility to the ''fatties are beautiful'' movement.

But overall its a fine place. Québec has the most physical active females in Canada, (in terms of physical activity, sports, gym memberships, they really like to take care of their bodies. And since Montreal is a important fashion city(plenty of models here and model agencies)...fat acceptance is not taken seriously at all. Its a lame background noise in the medias.

Only in smaller towns/suburbs in Québec you see American-sized fatties at a noticeable level(20-25% of the population, but its no big deal because most of these fatties are old hags ). In big cities like Québec city, Saguenay(underrated place) some parts of Laval and the south shore, Trois-Rivières and Montréal, its much rarer. They exist there of course(no revelant city in North America is devoid of fatties/fattie/free), but you have really to look hard in order to notice them. The fatties here in Montreal don't come in waves like in many American cities, where you can see, on average, 25-30 landwhales waddling here and there in the day

There's a lot of french women from France here studying or living here on vacation/work and at least 80% of them are not fat or obese by any objective measure.

And I think french women coming here are not all that in pure genetic beauty( they are 5-7 imo). But they compensate for their lack of stunning looks by having more feminity and avoiding fatness. So if these semi-attractive french girls can do that, American girls, would be better, considering that that they have a better baseline of facial looks/genetic beauty overall. With millions of girls liberated from obesity and released on the sexual market, the supply of 6.5-8s in English Canada/ America would explode.
