Boot camp

I'm thinking that a boot camp might be a good idea to take my game to the next level. Does anyone recommend a company/vendor/program?

Do companies still do these any more?

All the OG's, Style, Mystery, Tyler, Lovedrop and the new jacks like Simple Pick Up and Tom Torero offer bootcamps. There are lots of guys out there.

They're all going to teach you to
- eat well, work out, dress well, be more social
- how to get over your approach anxiety, escalation anxiety
- find a nice young lady
- walk up to her
- talk to her
- open her for conversation
- show your attractive side
- transition
- deal with obstacles
- get her one on one
- get positive results, like making her a new member of your bible study group! (Score one for Jesus!)

Everyone has different names for each stage, different ways to think about it, different tricks, arguments with different schools of thought, but by and large that's what you learn.

The advantage is that they're going to push you in a way that you don't push yourself. Secondarily, you'll get immediate feedback from an expert, who can correct what you do.

Some of them even give post-bootcamp support.

You'll get the bootcamp high and be an approach machine cause you're drawing from recent memory, but a couple weeks later, when you're not excited about going out on another Thursday night, you'll wonder about the lasting benefits.

Compare that to a raw athlete joining a team and training for the season. Coach is constantly there, as well as your team mates.

So if you really want to get to that next level, you're going to have to design something that allows you to put the practice in, get the feedback, and maintain your focus.

A wing man?
A bunch of guys into pick up (don't recommend this necessarily)
A realistic schedule?

Up to you.

Are you in shape? What's your wardrobe like? How's your living situation? Do you have interesting hobbies?

If you're still struggling after you get those things taken care of them maybe you'd benefit from a boot camp. My guess is that once you have your life in order game will be a lot easier and you might not find it necessary.

Practice on your own first so you can pinpoint what you need to improve. Also, some actual, on the ground experience of your own will allow you to identify whos legit and whos bullshitting.

Then do your research, ive heard bad shit about everyone out there, even the top guys. Ask around and listen to bothe the good and the bad. Ive been told terrible shitty stories form even the guys id reccomend, RSD, and those coming from close friends.

Where are you located?

I'm located in Salt Lake City.

My biggest weakness is that I like girls too much and have difficulty hiding it around more attractive girls. I'm too honest. Instead of playfully disqualifying a girl, it's obvious that I think she's hot and I want to fuck her.

I also live in a shitty apartment, but I'm fixing that.

Physique - I'm skinny but working out regularly now
Job - really good
Hygiene - good
Style - I just hired a professional stylist and I'm buying custom fitted clothes each month

I've never been, but I've seen quite a few scrawny introverted boys get a lot out of military training.

You're on the right track. In SLC I think its all about social circles, at least around the resorts. Everyone knows each other.

I've wrestled with this, but I think I would only pay now to go out with the top dogs. Roosh, Krauser. I think more can be gained by having friends that are interested in the same things you are. Unless of course you try solo. Really though, with what you are already doing, you are in a good spot. Try rolling solo, and reading as much as possible.

Honestly if I were in SLC I would head over to Park City for day and night game.

I spent 10 years in slc and got the hell out of there. (I miss sweet utah girls though) ive been travelling since nov. Im going back in a week or so to get rid of my shit.
There was a game lair back then and i used to hang with those want to be pua guys when i just started. (I was silly back then but thats what you go through when you just discover the game)

I can share some of my experiences if youd like. (read my posts to see if you like my thoughts)
And trust me, dont go to bootcamp unless you can spend it for just for fun.

To be honest, think long and hard whether you need one or not. I did one based on the reviews it got but it was completely lacking in the feedback department. Feedback from a real person is the whole point of a bootcamp.
I don't know if it was because they were focussed on other guys who were having trouble approaching instead of me (I had forced myself to approach because I paid a lot for it) or if they were just poor instructors.

I don't want to say who it is because they make you sign a whole lot of legal stuff about disparaging remarks, but tbh, I've gotten further with girls based on content available on blogs and forums than based on content I got from the boot camp.

There were some good points
- they push you harder (or they enable you to push yourself) - I had approached over 20 groups of girls in 1 night which is probably equal to the number I had approached my entire life combined before the course. But could I have done this without a bootcamp? To be honest probably not, but how much is worth?
- they helped me pick an outfit that works. I have my eyes opened to what is available and consider that outfit my 'best' going out outfit. But again, paying a stylist is a lot cheaper than a bootcamp.

But what absolutely cannot be forgiven was the lack of feedback - hell, a forum member I'm sure would be willing to wing with you and give you feedback on your approaches for the price of a beer. One of the instructor's assistants was texting incessantly the entire weekend, I never saw him without his phone out. He was even texting when I was sitting beside him asking for advice.

It got to the point where they were keeping such a small tab on me that the rest of the group (other students + instructor + assistant) left without me and only when I texted one of the other students "Where is everyone", he said 'we're back at his apartment'.

I did the bootcamp thinking "well if I don't try, I'll always wonder what if". Now I know, for me anyway, I would not have done it.
