I was going to say...this guy must not be divorced with kids. It's absolutely-dreadful, and a sad indictment of what both the higher education system and modern journalism has devolved writing into: what I think of as "Heroine Of A Young Adult Novel" voice. They're narrating their own life, because they think they're characters in a book or a movie, like all narcissists do.
