Just a rambling article but there were some funny or vintage ads in the article.

Here are a few:

Fate whispers to the warrior, "You cannot withstand the storm." And the warrior whispers back, "I am the storm."

Amazing, isn't it? She admits to making a living writing for ads and actually believes advertisements sell products.

She then says that sex and sexism doesn't sell. What she means is it doesn't sell to her demographic.

And I just know a Progressive Science-Fiction Writer with Unique Snowflake Name Spelling would take that comparison as a compliment.

Holy fuck...this broad is insane!

She wrote some shit about how women have always been warriors, labeling it: "We Have Always Thought."

See the ridiculousness? "We are oppressed all over the world, but history is replete us doing all sorts of brave, awesome stuff!"

Check out this commentary she made on True Dectective - claiming the story is about her because she was with an alleged abusive man.

Her conclusion:

Quote:Quote:

Where are the women who fight them? Who partner with them? Who overcome them? Who battle their own monsters to fight greater ones?

Because I have and continue to be one of those women, navigating a horrorshow world of monsters and madmen. We are women who write books and win awards and fight battles and carve out extraordinary lives from ruin and ash. We are not background scenery, our voices silenced, our motives and methods constrained to sex.

I cannot fault the show’s men for forgetting that; they’ve created the world as they see it. But I can prod the show’s exceptional writers, because erasing the narrative of those whose very existence is constantly threatened to be extinguished by these monsters, including monsters they trust whose natures vacillate wildly, you sided with the monsters.

I’m not a bit player in a monster’s story. But with narratives like this perpetuated across our media, it wouldn’t surprise me if that’s how my obituary read; a catalogue of the men who sired me, and fucked me, and courted me.

Stories that are not my own.

Funny, isn’t it? The power of story.

It’s why I picked up a pen.

I slay monsters, too. And I won’t be written out of my own story.

A warrior's warrior, indeed

She looks like a broad who would stink.

She lives in a fantasy land in her head. She hates men, because none check her out, so she slays them with her mighty pen.

She slays me, but not in the way she intended.

"You know that popular, critically-respected thing? You should respect me and my work even more than that because although I was privileged enough to attend two universities, work in advertising, and own a Word Processer, I'm actually a victim. Also: writing science fiction whilst having a vagina apparently takes an Amazonian level of strength and bravery."
