Crazy cheap online fashion outlet

A facebook ad popped up with this site:

http://www.rosewholesale.com/cheap-online/men-c6/

They have some pretty nice looking shirts and jackets. Only thing is that they are so insanely cheap in price that I'm thinking either they must fall apart after one wear, or they have a bunch of kids chained to sewing machines in Laos.

They are based in China. Anybody ever buy anything from this site? They have 1.5 million likes on FB, so they must be somewhat well known. I usually don't buy clothing online because I have to see how it feels on me and I'm wary of quality. I think I'll take a chance and purchase something and see how it goes. Thought I'd pass the site along as some of the basics at least look nice.

First page on google has a lot of BUYER BEWARE and SCAM posts... so why bother?

forever21.com and Asos.com are legitimate sites and cheap as, only a few $ more but def not a scam

I did see some of those bad reviews, but most of them seem to be customer service related issues as opposed to their satisfaction with the actual merchandise. Plus there's always an inherent bias in reading views. Even if 95% of transactions went well, most people aren't going to register and leave a message saying, "everything went fine". It's going to be biased toward the angry and vocal minority that's pissed enough to spend the time to leave a negative comment.

I don't care so much about the customer service, if worse comes to worse and I get double charged or it never shows up, my credit card company will reimburse me. I'm more curious about the satisfaction people have with the clothing.

I checked them out too but I'm not gonna forego giving them a chance due to "mixed" reviews. Figured I'll risk it.

So I ordered a blazer for like $20 to see what's up; and if they screw me oh well, it's not a huge loss for something that could have good potential.

I'll get back in here and post at least how that item turns out.

I assume that the clothes are made with really low-thread count cotton, cheap seams covered up by a layer of cheap material, and other material or craft shortcuts but I'm willing to be pleasantly surprised.

I'm scared off by cheap clothes. I recently bought THESE off amazon. Just picked them up for vacation, figured if they got ruined by sand or water or I had to leave them behind due to not enough room in my bag I wouldn't mind. Didn't mind if they weren't perfect but man when I got these things it looked like a super cheap tablecloth, super loose knit material, super uncomfortable, cheesy looking. At the time it didn't have any reviews so had nothing to go off of but looked decent in the pic. Now I see there's a few reviews but I had nothing to go off of. Very unhappy with them, was going to return although I think I let the timeline pass so I'm stuck with them.

As far as style goes, those clothes from asia is the best.

But I don't recommend it for men. It's stylish but you can tell something is off because of its quality. It doesn't have that 'Cut'
You wash it once, it won't feel the same. In the long run, it's cheaper to buy decent quality clothes.

For girl's, it's ok for them to buy cheap clothes since most of their clothes are made with polyester anyways.
Their fashion trend changes fast too. For men? it's pretty much the same over and over.

If you can't afford new clothes from a good brand, go to second hand stores.

Order a shirt and try them out. Worst case, you lose 20 bucks.

My go to for cheap in-fashion stuff is Yoox.com

It's not 15 dollar a shirt cheap though. Just more interesting options than what you'd find at the mall.

Uniqlo and H&M are both pretty cheap. Target also has some nice things.

Not outlets but cheap

Speakeasy or Cobra!

I've been lurking this thread wanting to see results.

I'd be really interested in buying some of these clothes if they turn out to be of good quality.

I'm interested to see what happens, but in general with these things you get what you pay for. I wear suits often, for work and for play, and they get a lot of use. I generally buy high quality, but often not brand name/designer, bespoke suits. I'm not showing anyone the tags, so if it fits well, and stands up to abuse, who the hell cares. My dress shirts are high quality, and I have had all these things for years. Buying 5 shirts for $150 each and using them for 10 years comes out to an average cost of $75 a year. If you are buying $50 shirts and have to replace them every 2 or 3 years, well you're looking at a lot more in the long haul. If you can find quality for cheap, good on you, but I'd personally rather hold out for end-of-season clearance sales at expensive places with products that I know will last than getting some crap I have no idea the quality of and wasting my money in the long run.

The shirt I want to order is out of stock in my size. Waiting till they get some more in. When they do I'll order and report on the quality.

All the mens wear is modeled on mannequins... Rule 1 of buying clothes online: Don't buy anything modeled on mannequins instead of real people. As much as I dislike /fa/, they're spot on with this.

Probably right Deluge, especially since most of us (hopefully) have a better physique than those in the pictures. Might be best to steer well clear.

Time for my review. I got the stuff.

Looks like I'll be writing off the $20 something to this thread.

The linen blazer I purchased is linked here. I bought the medium size : http://www.rosewholesale.com/cheapest/el...90434.html

I could upload images but they don't look that different from the pictures above, plus they don't fit me well enough (read below).

Firstly, quality, quality and quality. It sucks in this case. All three times. Primarily speaking, the weave of the threads is low quality as evidenced by bumps in the fabric, all over. The shitty craftsmanship is further marked by the thread hanging off the back of a sewn button.

Sidebar: To be fair, I've never owned linen clothing so I may be going a bit hard here. I may go out to a store and see what a linen blazer is really supposed to be like. I doubt my mind will be changed but am willing to give benefit of doubt for now, albeit very little.

On top of this, yes, I agree it may be made to fit an "asian frame" in that it's for real skinny guys. A medium on the site is not a medium by US standards at least. For example, if I buy an Express medium polo or shirt, it will hug my frame. Meaning it will be a bit tight on me as I have a bit of upper body bulk even though I'm medium size. I put it on and I was bulging out A LOT, I mean, at the seams. I reckon this may be just due to how they size their clothing and not necessarily because I'm diesel (which by no means am I).

I'm not even going to pretend that washes will be easy on the fabric. It won't and on top of that, prepare to iron the shit out of these every time you wear them. The fabric layer is thin so they wrinkle very easily.

If someone is in the area, I'll donate this to a skinny RVF cat. I'm certainly not wearing it. And, oh, not making another purchase from this place in this lifetime, mainly due to quality and assessing fit.

Linen is supposed to be bumpy. They of course could make superb quality threads but leave some lumps in it to give it that linen-handspun-authentic feel.

Deluge: those clothes are horrible even on the websites pictures. Why would anybody not currently in a korean boyband want to dress like that?

I buy a lot of my stuff from Urban Outfitters. They do free shipping on orders over $50, and clothes from America are much cheaper than they would be in Australia. They do great sales too.

i have ordered expensive shit from them over the years and everything was fine. but it helps if you know what fits you with the different designers. As you are all aware sizes can change dramatically from one designer to the next.

They also have cheaper brand names on sale as well.
