This is something that has always intrigued me. Do older women in their 30s and 40s react to Alpha behavior in the same way that girls in their 20s do?
I've always gotten this feeling that it is not quite the same but have been unable to put a finger on what causes this. Can the good folks here shed some light on this?

I think your appearence has something to with it. If an 18 year old guy tries to act all alpha to a woman in her 30s, she will dismiss him on the basis he looks like a kid.

On top of that most 18 year old guys behaviour and actions are really child like rather then a grown up man so its easy to be dismissive.

As for a teenage girl, she is effectively a kid (just like an 18 year old guy) and without much worldly experience and will go along with the guy leading, domineering, etc.

It must be quite easy for an older guy (say 30s) with all the experience to really lead a woman (say in their 20s). If he tries it where there is large age gap, it might seem a bit odd.

I think it has more to do with the fact that older women have a 'been there done that' mentality. They are receptive to alpha behavior but have a stronger shield to it. They rode the cock-carousel in their 20s and got burned. Now they make a more conscious decision to find someone to provide for them which is why they might screen harder. That doesn't mean they aren't still looking for alpha cock on the side though.

Fcuk me. Some of the accounts I'm reading here of older women are depressing. I type this as someone who has recently been dating an older woman and wished I'd got into it earlier. It's all win: Better conversation, she's made good dough and is independent (and loves her independence), zero games. In my experience, there's no middle ground in women over 30. Either they will give it up quite easily, or they will make you play an excrutiating dating game to be able to bed them. Some know that their SMV is already too low and see no point in trying to outplay guys. Some still have a hope to snatch a beta provider and get married, so they will make their best effort to waste no more time with alpha pumpers and dumpers.

In a way. Older women were hit hard with reality about their fading looks and all mistakes they made with ignoring good men, younger ones aren't yet. I can appreciate the lack of games older women play. I find though as I get older, the BS that used to frustrate me with younger girls fades and they don't even try to play them with me. It's all direct and they seem content in doing it that way. The games only come out when I start playing games.

Not from my experience. I have come across more past it disco girls with big ego's than those without. However it is usually those with careers who spout off about how good they are at having their own 3-4 bedroom house.

My experience is both young/old women want a man who is decisive

The more "seasoned" women that aren't completely jaded, respect & appreciate an Alpha coming into their life because he becomes an advisor, confidante and he doesn't rely on her for his next meal.

I'm 23 and most of the recent women I've banged have been older as in late twenties - early thirties. I know that when I'm upfront with a 30-year-old women about the fact that I'm 23, and that she agrees to go on a date with me, that the bang is nearly guaranteed.
