Review of Melatonin (as a sleep aid)
05-17-2014, 10:10 AM
So it seems like the first step would be to attempt to correct my sleeping patterns, and potentially supplement with melatonin.
Interesting, multiple posters commented about having nightmares/night terrors. People have told me that melatonin mixed with alcohol will give you some of the trippiest, freaky dreams.

I haven't been able to sleep much lately.
I've tried some melatonin from in doses of 3, 6, and 9 mg. it relaxes me for about an hour but then I wake up.
Hence I'm posting on RVF at 3:30 in the AM.

I took melatonin a few times and while it helped me get to sleep, I had some dumb dreams where I knew I was dreaming. That never happened to me before I took it and it hasn't happened since I quit taking it. It makes me wonder just how deep melatonin-aided sleep is.
