About a year back I had plans to relocate to Poland, but before I went ahead with that I thought I'd take a trip to the Philippines as I started reading this thread, and given its close proximity to Australia it made sense... I'm yet to even arrive in Poland so that probably tells you I've been distracted enough by my time in the Philippines to put it off until later. I've read this entire thread and kept up with it, visited the Philippines twice so far, and I'm headed back again soon for another month. I might stay longer this time around if I can be bothered dealing with a visa extension.
I'm gonna make a few comments without quoting others but they are specific to the last 25 pages or so (although I've read the entire thread, much of it is from so long ago as not to be relevant now).
Now, I can only compare my experiences to 2019 and not those others have had in years gone by, but despite all the claims in this thread as to the best days being over, I can't say I've had anything other than a good time and met some beautiful women - sure, some are fucking ugly too, but that's true of all women. Coming from Australia, it's a nice change to see women with long hair, no tattoos or piercings and of slim to average weight - yes some are fat, some have tattoos, but it's really few and far between and they can be easily ignored. I expect that will change in the years ahead as it has done in my own country, it's more a global issue than a Philippines problem though, as are many of the complaints in this thread.
I never bothered with Manila or Luzon in general, on my first trip I went straight to Davao and around Mindanao to meet with a girl I lined up online from DIA. To me, she's a 7 - beyond that, I won't say more as I don't want to get into a discussion of how to rate Filipino girls because everyones tastes differ and it's pointless - a girl gets a 5 from me for merely not being fat, having no tattoos and having a pleasant personality and symmetrical face. This girl, I'm having an LDR with, I might even marry, but obviously being the first one I met, I have also been playing the field, I have no moral issue with lying to her in this regard, I've done it in every relationship, whatever, alls fair in love and war.
So, Mindanao definitely has a lack of foreigners, I'm guesing because some people are scared to go - believe it or not, the Philippines itself doesn't rank that high as a tourist destination but it has been increasing if you look at international flight arrivals - did you know in 2019 Davao airport gets the same amount of international arrivals as Cebu did back in 1992 - that's how off the beaten track it is for most people. I didn't stay just in Davao but travelled around a little, and in 2 weeks I saw maybe 5 white guys, all older than me (I'm mid to late 30's), and only one that would've been within 10 years of my age. Here I got a lot of eye contact from local girls in shopping centres and out on the street.
As best I can tell, the girls will never approach you, but give you eye contact and smile, giggle and laugh with their friends to give you the opportunity to start a conversation with them. Every single time I went out I got indicators of interest. Now, I spent most of my time with my girlfriend, but even then, I took her with me to talk to these girls at the shopping centre just to get a feel for things and they're quite open to foreigners. Cue comments about having a pointed nose and blue eyes, I don't have hair due to baldness but I shave it every day, got a few comments from girls saying I look like Vin Diesel - hey, I'll fucking take it, lifting weights for years on end no doubt helps with that, maybe more like half-a-slav Vin Diesel but whatever. No girl ever seemed to be bothered by it, probably because I'm not, but I know this impacts some guys confidence - just shave it and lift weights, keep fit, it's really the only counter to being bald.
My experience in Cebu was a bit different. Here, not as many indicators of interest, and I saw more white guys within 5 minutes of landing than I did my entire time in Mindanao. The girls here look different to the ones from Mindanao - fatter, more of a western influence, more mobile reception so mobile phone culture has proliferated much more. I didn't meet a single woman here that I'd consider having a relationship with, but had sex with some. Every single of these women had previously had either sex or some bullshit relationship with a foreigner, and to me that's a no-no for moving to a relationship. Most of them seemed happy to accompany me for a drink, going to do tourist stuff, and eating. They are a lot of fun to be around, I didn't meet any that were pretentious, but I think they do suffer from some kind of wounded pride as they are a prideful people living in shit conditions for whatever reasons I won't discuss. They also suffer from a bit of an inferiority complex, I know all girls can be like this, but they really took the cake for the 'i don't like my face, i don't like my body, i don't like my tits, i don't like my pekpek' kind of talk, they seem to compare themselves to the western image of beauty (white women) for the most part. After spending a bit of time together, they were always keen to fuck and stay the night. I read some people having issues with door staff asking for a girls ID, but I never had this issue, I did not have that problem in Taiwan either (more on that soon). I think the idea is to walk with confidence but never make eye contact with any of the staff, they're not going to open you into a conversation without that because they lack the confidence and/or assertiveness to speak to you without the invitation of eye contact.. just act normal like you do this all the time. I stayed in some hotels and also airbnb, both of which had security and other staff in the lobby, and I always make a point of saying hello to them and being nice in passig when I'm not with a woman, say, when going down in the morning on my own to get a coffee.
Now, I think the Philippines is the kind of place where having a bit of money is a big help because you can treat the girls to an experience they just don't expect, and can't get with your typical foreigner who comes to the Philippines hoping to get laid on a budget or some old boomer who is on a pension. I really don't think it's a place for guys under 30 with no money - you can get further on being white and having money here than being young and good looking, and you guys imo would be better suited to places like Korea/Japan where you will get full value for your looks. Example - there was one girl in Cebu I really liked, she was a good bang, and was fun to be around, and I paid for her to fly with me to Palawan for a couple of days - I mean, the hotels cost the same whether it's just me or 2 people anyway, so I'm only out a cheap ticket which costs less a good meal in the west anyway. I know, some guys frown on this, but I'm also there to see new things, and it's more pleasant to do with a woman with you. Some of you guys will say I'm exactly the type of guy that has ruined it for other guys, but the cost is nothing for me, and I'm there for my enjoyment, I don't really care if some young guy can no longer impress a girl by buying her Jollibee.
What else..
I didn't encounter any scammers, I didn't get any requests for money either, and have yet to be approached or contacted by a lady boy - I really think some of this just wrong place, wrong time, could happen anywhere kind of deal. I was buying these girls a meal, drinks, letting them stay with me and swim in the condo pool, and basically just have a good time on my dime - it's not very expensive in all honesty so I wasn't bothered they didn't pay half for shit like taxis or dinner.
I also spent some time in Taiwan, and while this is the Philippines thread, there is a lot of OFW living and working there. Lots in Taipei, but also lots further out (I'm not going to name the cities), but the OFW women outside of Taipei are very keen to fuck, some even have kids, a boyfriend or a husband back in the Philippines. I was fucking shocked at first, thinking it was a one off, but no, seems quite common given they are far away from home and nobody back home can see that far to know what they're up to. I didn't intend going to Taiwan to meet these girls, I was actually going for Chinese women and tourism, had one date with a Chinese woman who had the worst rotting fish breath I have ever come across (also dry heaved), didn't bang, and the next date after was a Filipina which is how I stumbled into this world of OFW who are very keen to bang foreigners. Average looking girls, but the supply and ease of it (I'm too lazy to put much effort into chasing women at this age) makes it worth while and in future I will be looking up these OFW in other countries I plan to visit (heading to HK next, some there - travelling not just for girls but sight seeing too).
As for 'lifting to get girls who live in conditions like this', I consider health, fitness and lifting mandatory in this day and age regardless of whether you are chasing women or not, you must do it if you want to be taken seriously in this clown world and look to at least have some authority. Of course, you don't need steroids, but lifting will give you a certain amount of confidence in yourself that money just can't buy.
Overall, I like them for their personality first, and looks second. Some of them are very pleasant to be around and nice to spend (some) time with doing things outside of just fucking. The Philippines is not a place I'd want to live but it's definitely a place worth visiting if you're looking for short term fun and maybe even a longer term relationship althought a LTR is an entire different thing to deal with.
Oh, and how 'teh AIDS' isn't more prevelant there is beyond me, I never used protection, all passed the smell test and I've yet to catch anything, I don't know what it's like dealing with bar girls or P4P, although I guess some might argue what I did was P4P although there was never any arrangement prior to having sex for such things.
One last thing - a lot of the white guys I saw there are utter slobs - unshaven for days, holes in their shirt, getting around in thongs, and just look beat in general. Hey, I get that it's the Philippines, it's hot and you don't want to make a display of money, but you can still make yourself look presentable and respectable. I honestly think some of the problems some people claim to have there can be avoided by just proper grooming and proper fitting clothing.
