What does "hooking up" actually mean?

As I progress in Game, I step back and look at how other guys foolishly use the word "hooking up" when talking about girls.

A buddy of mine is a good-looking actor and was talking about a hot actress he was working with. They had "hooked up" and I kept saying how great it is after that hurdle has been breached. We kept talking and he expressed how he'd arrange situations in which him and this girl would hang out out after a cast part or over drinks with mutual friends...just to spend one on one time with her. It seemed silly how he was creating these scenarios.

Eventually I asked, "Dude, you already had sex with her, what's the big deal? You have her number, go out for a bite or a drink and take her home afterward."

To which he said, "Oh, we didn't have sex."

"But you said you hooked up."

"I meant that we made out, and we were drunk and she gave me a blow job.

"Oh."

And now his story (and thirst) made things a lot clearer. In high school and college "hooking up" could mean anything from making out to banging. Now that my friends and I are well into our 20s, the idea of "hooking up" should ONLY be synonymous with sex. Blowjobs are fun too, but more as an appetizer before the main dish.

I've learned from my mistakes not to talk to much about Game and Red Pill values with guy friends who aren't ready, but it cracks me up how people speak with great pride how they had a "drunken make out" as if they won the lottery.

If it's not the pussy lottery they're referring to, I don't see any point in sharing the conquests.

So do you actually want to know what "hooking up" means, or are you venting about how it annoys you when guys take pride in drunkenly making out with girls?

What does "hooking up" actually mean?

When a chick says it, "hook up" = sex. When a guy says it, "hook up" = anything less than penis in vagina.

The ambiguity benefits satiates the slutty hamster and makes betas feel better about their failures to bang.
All M/F interactions fall into bang or not bang.

Pretty much. I'd also like to add:

Hanging out = Sex

Seeing each other = Sex, on the verge of being bf/gf.

Dating = Similar to seeing each other. Open to friends about it. Not officially exclusive.

Together = Openly exclusive sexual relationship. Bf/gf.

What does "hooking up" actually mean?

"Hooking up" technically means anything from first base on. I feel like I heard it used most in high school when people were having sex less, and just making out with a girl was considered something worth talking about.

That being said, nowadays I think there is a trend to measure one's game based on notch count, which I don't think is the best idea. Let's say for example you go out and pull a 9 home, but don't end up banging her due to LMR and she gives you a BJ instead. Is this considered a failure? Fuck no. 1) Because you pulled a model caliber girl out of the venue, which in of itself is an accomplishment, and 2) Because you got your nut, which is the end goal anyway. Who knows, you may bang her on the first "date" the next week.

The point here, and especially when you are new to this, is that you can't measure success in the game based on sex alone. You have to look at it as a journey, and treat every small victory as making you a stronger player. If a guy is a virgin and starts making out with a Victoria's Secret model in some club, that is an accomplishment. Regardless if he got the bang or not, it is indicative of an improved level of game. So instead of looking at it as some kind of notch tally, just have fun with it and appreciate the small victories you have. Before you know it, those small victories will turn into bigger ones, and sex with a higher caliber of girls will come naturally.
