I have vague memories that Vanity Fair used to be a fairly sophisticated magazine. I had thought, perhaps incorrectly, that it was a step above say, People. Still the same garbage, but for an upscale crowd who liked to read books and talk about how smart they were.

So what the HELL is this doing in their article?
