False report about sexual assault on campus? Beat it, bitch.

Every once in a while these have a happy ending.

Usually, some poor sap ends up in jail.

From the story:

A 21-year-old student who falsely reported two weeks ago that she had been assaulted on the campus of Lindenwood University has been dismissed by the school.

The former student, Joanna Newberry, who lives in the 1800 block of Camberly Road in Des Peres, has been charged with a misdemeanor count of making a false report. I love how they named her!

On March 7, Newberry told St. Charles police that she had been attacked in the basement bathroom of Butler Library earlier that week. Newberry told police a man had been hiding in one of the stalls, came up behind her and attempted to remove her leggings.

She said she kicked him away, and he fled.

An alert was then sent to more than 12,000 students and staff warning them that police were investigating a report of a sexual assault on campus.

Five days after the reported attack, Newberry came in to be interviewed by police. She admitted that no assault had occurred, and she had made the story up.

Newberry did not provide a specific reason for her actions.

Newberry faces up to six months in jail and a fine up to $500. Her first court appearance will be on April 28 before Associate Circuit Judge Elizabeth Swann.

Show true equality Judge Swann. Give her the maximum.

LOL, I bet she claims that patriarchy makes her fearful wherever she goes and that she is the victim. And then a bunch of people start protesting her facing possible jail time and it gets dropped. She becomes a minor celebrity. [Image: lol.gif]

A First--Accused of Rape, Xavier Student Wins a Round in Federal Court

http://www.mindingthecampus.com/forum/20...xavie.html

Quote:Quote:

After what he claimed was an incident of consensual sexual intercourse, Wells was accused of sexual assault. In a mere 27 days from accusation to judgment, the university concluded that Wells was "responsible for rape" after a process in which Wells couldn't cross-examine his accuser and was deemed a rapist based on a preponderance-of-evidence threshold. All this occurred while Cincinnati authorities determined that there was no basis to pursue criminal charges; prosecutor Joseph Deters deemed the Xavier process "fundamentally unfair."

We had this same thing happen at my university. One day I saw all of these posters put up from campus safety services saying that an attempted sexual assault occurred by a masked assailant wearing all black. Then something like a week later campus safety services issues a report stating that the event never occurred. The bitch made it all up.

Sentence seems too light (baby steps I guess, though). I would argue that making a false rape accusation should have a penalty in the multiple-years-in-prison range given the consequences if one makes a false accusation and succeeds without getting caught. A successful false rape accusation results in a man's freedom being taken away potentially for years, his name being placed on a sex offender list preventing him from ever seeking gainful employment again, and essentially his entire life being irreversibly ruined in every conceivable way. Even an ultimately unsuccessful one still gets the victim's name dragged through the mud and can be both immediately financially damaging and extremely harmful to his long-term career prospects.

This is why it's so disturbing that a significant percentage of rape allegations are false. There are some real sociopaths out there.

well now if we are sharing crazy campus false rape stories....

My campus went on paranoia alert for about 2 years after a girl claimed to sexually assaulted walking on some trail, she escaped by had stab wounds. 2 Years later, turns out it was a dude, who stabbed himself, trying to make it seem more credible that he was a woman...because rapists thought he was one in bad lighting?

Did you know that 1 in 4 women are sexually assaulted? American universities are statistically more dangerous for women than even the worst parts of South Africa.

Yep, I feel like telling these bitches to go to Afghanistan where the rape and sexual assault stats are lower.

It's quickly becoming a "general" excuse for women.

Late to the fiancees place? I was sexually assaulted.
Late to class? I was sexually assaulted.
Late to dinner? I was sexually assaulted.
Didn't bring their homework assignment: I was sexually assaulted.

A police friend told me it's something that little kids have used for years.
"I was sexually assaulted" = "The someone tried to kidnap me on the way to school excuse."

It's why cops are almost always skeptical of kids and are becoming more skeptical of lying broads.

To these dumb cunts, it's gets them out of some inane shit for the moment, but the cops waste time looking for someone that doesn't exist or if they don't feel like wasting time, pin it on some sad sap in the wrong place at the wrong time.

'Rape Culture' Fraud--Unmasking a Delusion

http://www.mindingthecampus.com/original...lture.html

Quote:Quote:

The "rape culture" movement operates from three central characteristics.

First, it has received almost fawning press coverage (what media members want to be deemed pro-rape?)--allowing for transparently absurd allegations, such as those at Occidental, to be presented as credible.
[…]
Second, the "rape culture" approach allows activists to shift the narrative away from uncomfortable questions about due process and false accusations against innocent male students, and toward a cultural critique in which the facts of specific cases can be deemed irrelevant.
[…]
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, the "rape culture" approach provides a weapon to advance a particular type of gender-based agenda (curricular and administrative priorities need to be revamped to recognize that women are victims) in a campus environment in which race/class/gender advocates already dominate. There always will be a stray, anonymous misogynistic comment on a message board, or by a drunken student at a spring-break party, from which advocates can then generalize to claim that a crisis exists on campus--without ever defining precisely what a "rape culture" is, or how the steps they recommend could possibly eradicate it. And since there isn't a recent example--from Duke to Dartmouth to any of the current Title IX claims--in which those who have cried wolf on campus have experienced any repercussions for their actions, there is no drawback in advancing inflammatory claims, no matter how unlikely.

So expect a lot of talk about "rape culture" in the coming months.
