I Met The Girl Of My Dreams. She's Engaged But I Think She Likes Me. Should I Pursue?

I'm a (part time) male model. I met a gorgeous model at a casting a few weeks ago but it wasn't any ol' hottie. It was one who I had a crush on for years who I finally met by pure coincidence and serendipity. The reason I'm writing is because there is a big obstacle in the way of my attaining her and i'm wondering if I should pursue at all and, if so, how.

My friend sent me a link for a music video by a famous artist a few years ago. I had mentioned wanting to visit a foreign city and, since the video takes place in that city, he thought I'd like to see it. It became my favorite music video of all time because, not only is the song great, but I thought (and still think) that the lead woman is the most beautiful woman I've laid my eyes on. I watched the video about once per month for the next 2 years and dreamed of meeting her all the while dating other girls in real life. I failed at several attempts to find out her name by googling info on the video. The only info I learned was that she was from that city.

I finally visited that city last year. I had a great time and saw and fucked beautiful woman everywhere but I had my eye out for the mystery girl; she was in the back of my mind.

I was in the waiting area of a model casting a few months after that trip and guess who strolls in?!?!? I did a quadruple take. I couldn't believe what was happening. I didn't make any fast moves because I wanted to figure out a plan of action. I walked over to my phone on the other side of the room that was charging and kept her in my peripheral. She was staring at me! I turned my body towards her while checking my phone but didn't look at her and I noticed her checking me out a bit. I sat down and hoped that we'd be called to audition together. Sure enough, we were. The audition was for a commercial that took place on a beach so we had to strip into bathing suits. There I was standing shoulder to shoulder, half naked, with the girl of my dreams. I was nervous as hell the whole time. But I sensed her holding eye contact extra long during our dialogue (that may have just been how she performs). However, after the audition we got dressed and she put a fat ring on her finger. Not sure if it was engaged or married but I was crushed nonetheless.

I waited for her outside and struck up convo by asking her if she was actually the gal in the video. She confirmed and we spoke for a few minutes before she excused herself. The convo went smoothly (no awkward silences) but it was kind of boring- no flirting, understandably.

I was dejected by the ring but I couldn't stop thinking about her, so I looked her up a few weeks later since I had her name and wrote on her instagram. I just said what's up and asked if she remembered me from the casting. After she said hey whats up and that she remembered me, I followed her profile and she returned in kind. From looking at her pics, she clearly has either a fiancee or husband.

Now I do NOT want to attempt to make her or anyone, for that matter, cheat on their significant other. Never. I feel like there's a reason we met, though, and I'm working off the chance that she's not happy in her relationship. Why not take advantage of a market inefficiency? I wouldn't touch her unless she left him. I haven't said anything else to her but, since she's currently taken, I'm considering the hail mary. I mentioned to her that I may move to her country for modeling work when we met. If I reach out to her again, my plan is to ask for her email bc I have some questions for my relocation. Once I get her attention I'm going to put all of my cards on the table and let her react.

What's your advice, gents?

Sincerely,
A Determined Man

IMO it seems like you have a major case of oneitis. Keep in contact with her don't be desperate to fuck her. Game other women and if opportunity presents itself capitalize.

I personally don't like to (physically speaking) go after girls who are taken. I have a thing about being the other guy and I guess it is a mark of weakness to some, but it's one of my principles.

However, that's not to say that you can't plant the seed and let it grow. You get one life. Live it up.

You'll regret not doing it.

You're borderline if not already infatuated with her, which usually = bad game.

That being said, I think you're going to go after it anyway regardless of the advice we give you, so get it out of your system.

This might be your only chance to get after her. I remember someone posted that he banged the girl of his dreams and it wasn't anything special. Anyway, I think you should go for it! You'll regret not doing so...Don't give yourself any reason to have any regrets.

Keep me updated, I'm curios to see if you end up hitting that [Image: banana.gif]

This kind of reminds me of Eugene Onegin.

I sense a strong oneitis. Do not invest in this girl any more money/time/emotions/thoughts. If anything happens with a minimal effort go for it, but if you have to do any work to get her don't do it! The more you do the more obsessed will you become.

I smell a restraining order.

Unless you have some SERIOUS state control skills--I mean best of the best--the pedestalization will shine like the sun at noon at the equator.

Dreamed of meeting her for two years??? DAMN!!! This obsession with this chick has possessed your mental faculties... to the point where you're imagining mystical "reasons" for the two of you meeting. Of course, without any evidence, that "reason" is her unhappiness. COME ON SON.

She already has you shamelessly flip-flopping. You went from, "Now I do NOT want to attempt to make her or anyone, for that matter, cheat on their significant other. Never."... to, "...I'm going to put all of my cards on the table and let her react."
How do you reconcile those two statements?

You seem to have a bit too much emotional investment in this broad, champ. This chick may be a danger to your emotional stability.

If this chick does end up hoola-hooping that pussy on you, we'll fuck around and catch you, the next day, sitting in front of the women's dressing room holding her purse... wearing a pair of New Balance and a "#1 Boyfriend" t-shirt tucked in your khakis.
PROCEED WITH CAUTION (OR NOT AT ALL), FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR PSYCHE.

You have a much better chance of making something positive out of this if you level the one-itis waters some, as these other guys have said. This type of girl can smell you a mile away.

At some point after you've just made her laugh or you've shared a light moment together, ask her point blank if she's happy in her relationship while looking at her dead in the eye, and wait for an answer. And watch her reaction, because she will tell you the truth of the matter right then and there.

You should have exchanged contact info at your casting rather than found her Instagram. But it's all good. Even though oneitis is for the birds I feel where you're coming from. So here's a few things you can do to maybe have a chance.

Find out where she be at and go there. When you see her act like its a coincidence or let her see you first. Bonus points if you let her see you first and kind of brush her off only to re engage hard later. Go there with girls or a girl. Build some rapport and history with her. If she breaks up with her man go in for the kill. Or if your game is tight enough and you build some attraction she may second guess her relationship and give you a shot. But don't give off the vibe that she is better than you or 'the girl of your dreams'.

If she's a model like that chances are her man is rich or an athlete or musician. So if anything your game has to be superior. What you lack in fame and fortune make up for in game and portion.

Oh yeah and always look for the ioi's and never mention her man or let that phase you when she says she has a man. She could just be using him for all we know.

THANKS FELLAS. My boy told me I had onegina and, while I agreed logically, I had to hear it from others. Seems as if the crowd is split between go after her and fall back. I'm going to fall back and take MidniteSpecial's advice if possible. By the way, MidniteSpecial's guess about her man's occupation is spot on. He's a pro athlete, albeit not a super rich or famous one.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm undecided if I should put the pedal to the metal but if I pursue, Ill keep you updated!

This gave me a hearty laugh lmao. You ain't wrong for saying this. Funny thing is I'm aware of my oneitis but can't help it. I've always been a sucker for the chase. I'm going to fall back on her and move the f on now. I had to crowdsource the advice.

Hate to say this, but the other guys here have it right, she can smell it, and she either suspects or knows, you are into her. The worst things you can do, are obsess, and as others have mentioned, put her on a pedestal. In my opinion, that's the LAST thing, any person of importance wants, treat them no different than someone you just met, otherwise you are setting yourself up for some major drinking the following day.

Hung out with a woman I have wanted for probably 7 years this week. Tried to escalate, nothing happened, all that thought and build up wasted, she even lives 3000 mi away. Another one I have wanted for about 4 years just sent me her phone number now that she is engaged. Great. That was a few weeks ago and I have fallen back, but I am thinking maybe I should hit it.

honestly, and maybe this is beta of me, but I make it a rule to never pursue women I know are taken. There are so many single women out there, it's not worth the potential headache. you don't know who she's dating and if this guy may be a psycho who blames you for her transgressions and decides he wants to kill you. Not only that, I'd hate to be the source of someone's pain and suffering and be a catalyst for bad blood. i believe in karma and i think this is a shortcut to bad karma coming your way. if she's gonna cheat on her fiancee for you, there's no reason to think she wouldn't cheat on you for someone else if the opportunity came along. imo, there's just so much more that can go wrong with this situation than can go right. the odds are not in your favor. call me a pussy, whatever, but being alpha doesn't mean you have to disregard common courtesies at all times.

It sounds like you've a plan, but not enacted any real steps to get further confirmation.

Dude, IG doesn't mean shit, her following you back, it might as well have not happened. Yeah, she remembers you, big deal, harden up.

Women rarely do drift their minds away from the thing in front of them daily, unless there is a serious issue going on. No one is so special that they can swoop in like that and wreck a home.

I wouldn't even bother taking any further steps, find other girls to slay, and stay away from the complicated situations, because bringing that into your life is asking for trouble.

Plenty other cute single girls out there just looking to be entertained.

I Met The Girl Of My Dreams. She's Engaged But I Think She Likes Me. Should I Pursue?

This thread is two years old, and OP did whatever he did. Still, since someone may come across this in the future, I want to lay out my advice:

Your "dream girl" is some chick from a music video you never met, then randomly stumbled across years later. This is beyond oneitis: This is an UNHEALTHY obsession. I'm sorry, but there's simply no way the girl was so attractive that she just outshined every other girl you ever saw.

Also: Where the hell is the link to the music video in question? Stinks of trolling.

Bottom line: Married women and engaged women are not worth the hassle. Forget about the morality----people get killed for fucking a taken woman. It's utterly stupid, especially for someone with "model looks" who can pull tail like nobodies business.

To anyone reading this going through a similar obsession: Forget about the "dream girl". Especially if your obsession is based entirely on her appearance. If her looks are all that attracts you, there are PLENTY of women just as if not more beautiful than her. Don't believe me? Book a flight to Kiev and see if you still feel the way you do.
