Women not replying to messages online although they're a match

This has happened to me quite a bit and I'm trying to figure it out.

Had several Tinder and POF matches. I'll either send a generic "hey whatsup" or make a witty remark about something in her picture to open. No response whatsoever. I have heard that those sites will match you up with people automatically, or it might just be validation on her part. If the woman is not matched with you I can understand but when she matches and doesn't respond that's strange. Any help is appreciated.

She probably matches up to 30 men, 27 of whom will write hey whatsup or variations of that.
So honestly,not strange at all.
Improve your online profile, get a better display pic, work on your online game... there are some threads out here that might help out.
Besides, a lot of the females out there are merely attention whoring.
Its not a fair world.

Come up with better opening messagesand try them out and use the ones that work i.e. trial and error.
Also remember to not try and waffle on the app i.e. get them off the app and on to text/whatsapp ASAP, you'll be miles ahead of the rest if you do these simple things

I started not giving a shit with online dating recently and rather than compose a message "just for them" (barf) and pedestal-izing the bitch, I'll fire off one of Delicious Taco's 44 liners:

If she replies then I will put in some effort to get the bang, otherwise NEXT!

Exactly.

OP, check out the intel already on here about that. There are a massive Tinder and POF threads. I recently got on Tinder and have had success with it, which probably came down to a combo (not surprisingly) of...
-Good photos
-Funny profile description
-Different opener than "what's up?"

I think the opener, and how you game them from there is perhaps even more important than your photos. That's why we know game works, and can overcome a players lack of looks. And besides, on a app like Tinder she must have already thought on some level that you were attractive. The rest is up to you, but as Sharkie pointed out, some are just attention whores plain and simple.

With online game, you just have to accept that most women you message will not respond.

That said, a generic opener like "hey whatsup" is dogshit. 20+ guys probably message her that everyday. You need to say something different and interesting to distinguish yourself from the boring 95% of guys who send her such messages (and same thing if it's any sort of obvious comment about her picture or her profile).

A good generic message you can send is something like this, courtesy of James ( http://nymag.com/thecut/2014/02/okcupid-...-york.html) :
Quote:Quote:

If he were to send a message to Allison on a Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday, it would read: Hey there Miss Allison. What kind of trouble did you get into this weekend? [Image: smile.gif] For Wednesday: Hey there Miss Allison. What sort of trouble are you getting into this week? [Image: smile.gif] Thursday or Friday: What kind of trouble are you getting into this weekend? [Image: smile.gif] And if it’s Saturday: What kind of trouble have you been getting into? [Image: smile.gif]

You can also do more creative copy+paste openers to get their attention. Lately on OKC I've been using a poem that I wrote with fairly good response (with a sort of over-the-top style inspired by some of Delicious Tacos's openers).

Some women, I've found, are only on there for attention and validation. It's like that old Web site "Hot or Not" for them and they interpret all the messages as "hot" ratings.

I've seen women comment about this on other women's posts* on Facebook. From observation, the women doing this is the most are around 21-26. If you want replies, go older.

* Having no idea everyone else could see it, of course. I should have done a screenshot. Next time I will. One used the phrase "ego boost."

Ask a simple, random question. "What's up?" isn't inviting a fun conversation, and chances are she doesn't have that much to talk about in her life. Also, going with anything but what's up shows that you can come up with an original thought.

I use questions like, "know it's random, but how many pitbull songs in your collection?" Her answer to this question gives me an opportunity to say something snide and then ask her out. This is only for girls I've matched with though.

I have found a direct correlation between the amount of time you spend on online dating, and how much tail you actually get. The more you work at it, the more it doesnt pay off. Just send them a simple 'Hi' on Tinder, it works the best. For OKC try the delicious tacos openers, which seem to work the best there.

You will have to elevate your text game to stand out from all of the noise. tinder is essentially set up so that a thousand guys are messaging a hot girl all at once and she can't respond to all of them.

If she has a baby niece in her photo, you can say "hey great job losing all of that pregnancy weight so fast! Do you suffer from postpartum?"

If you are going to try to run cocky/funny game, better make sure you are actually cocky and funny...
