If it's on paper sue him.

If it's not yeah violence or (preferably) intimidating. But this is a dumb idea the thief has no honor and will drop the dime.

I don't make any loans that would make me violently angry, it's a dumb idea (learned that in my late teens/early 20s)

He ended up fleeing to Guatamala after scamming some heavier dudes out of $250k. Shitty thing is I warned them and they still got fucked, so they were not happy. I went over there and ended up getting a $6k saw that was nearly brand new. These guys were all hanging out in the net loft smoking darts and staring at me with murder in their eyes as I loaded it up. The one dude that I got on well with was furious. He lost his whole family a few years ago and he literally has nothing to lose and I think he wanted to kill him. I just told him, "He is in Guatamala probably doing the same thing to some American prospectors right now", and left it at that.

I got a strange email from the guy in Guatamala in the spring warning me not do business with a certain guy. So he is still alive though I am not sure. I asked a Guatamalan chick that knows his industry very well through her rich family and she said it's super fucking dangerous where he is and those guys bury a lot of bodies out there if you fuck up.

Good to hear you ended up getting your money back. Most people are totally blind to how frequent this time of thing occurs. You can never be too careful. I'm guessing he pulled a heavy machinery type scam on the other guys. Got a huge loan for them to "buy some machinery" then fled to Guatemala.
