Chicago 2/10-2/18 2014

I'll be out in Chicago for work for 2 full weeks or more on or about 2/10.

Not sure where in the city I'll be staying but if anyone is local and wants to roll to a few places let me know.

It's my first time in the Windy City and I'd like to try some of that deep dish that I hear so much about. [Image: lol.gif]

Hey,
I'm local and i've lived in Chicago all of my life. I currently live in the northern suburbs and I am in the process of moving back to the downtown area. I usually spend my weekends in the city if you're looking for someone to roll with. The deep dish is awesome here!

I like The Wit hotel, which has a decent roof top bar/club but its kinda dead this time of year. Cheaper nice hotel though. There is a great spot downtown called Untitled, multiple rooms, dancing, live bands, great cocktails and scene. Kingston Mines if you are into blues music, younger college crowd though later in the night, but still a hoping place.

Thanks fellas. What are the girls like? Are they friendly and approachable? I'll be out there on the company's dime so I'll be out and about as much as I can.

I'll post in here when I'm local if anyone wants to meet up.

Hey whatsup. Im from Chicago. Where are you from? Because Chicago is brutally cold right now if you're from a warmer climate and aren't used to it. Think -4 degrees Fahrenheit and -14 Degrees windchill. I live in the South Side of Chicago and know many bars and clubs, but like I said. Its coooolllddd!!!! I cant wait to be in Mexico so I probably wont be in Chi-town in the dates you posted.

I recommend hitting Lou Malnati's on State Street or Pizzeria Uno on Ohio Street for Deep dish. Those are the two best places for deep dish in the city in my opinion. Giordano's is pretty decent as well. Also don't leave without trying Chicago's Hot Dogs which are better than New York's imo, try a place called Hot Dougs on the north side on California Ave. Also Al's Italian beef is the best for Italian Beef. There's also bomb ass authentic Mexican food here.

As for girls, well you have your typical Midwestern girls. There's also huge pockets of Eastern European girls from places like Poland, Ukraine, Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia and others but mostly Polish, we have the highest concentration of Polish people outside Poland. You also got lots of Latinas (Mexicans and Puerto Ricans) and a huge Chinese community. Only drawback to this is that things tend to be a bit segregated here so if you want a Latina, you're probably have to go to "Little Village" or also known as "Little Mexico" and go to bars in that area, same for "Little Puerto Rico" in Humboldt Park and so on. Chicago is a diverse city and totally underrated in America. Chicago girls are usually friendly, more so than their New York counterparts. Not sure how it is right now, but Wrigleyville near Wrigley Field on the North Side gets packed with easy sluts that get drunk after a Cubs game. Lots of bars in Wrigleyville. Also lots of bars in the Lincoln Park area with DePaul University girls that go to party.

As far as clubs, my favorite is called TwelveWest and located on Elm Street in downtown. Also Palm Court on Walton is good too. Also V-Live is an Asian club where all the Asian girls from Chinatown go to.

Lots of things to do in Chi-Town for me to put in one post. Have fun.

I'm from Dirty Jersey [Image: thumb.gif] but I work in Manhattan. I'm no stranger to harsh winters. I spent a few weeks in Pittsburgh a few years back in the middle of January. That was brutal. Drove out with a coworker in his Ford Excursion diesel. Plugged in the block heater overnight and it barely turned over in the mornings.

Thanks for the tips. I'll be out here with another coworker. He's a good looking guy ...no homo, so hopefully he's a good wing.

I'd definitely like to plow the fields of a classic Midwest girl. That's on my to do list.

Yeah, Lou Malnati's has a killer deep dish. it's the sauce and the butter crust that makes it good. I also dig Gino's East for a good deep dish. You are right about Hot Doug's though. I had many drunken nights heading to Gene and Jude's for dogs too.

With the cold now, Wrigleyville area (Clark & Addison) is not as packed as it is in the summer ball season but there are a lot of places to bar hop there. Also, try Rush and Division area too.

Most people have hit the nail on the head. I've moved out of Chicago for some time and wasn't there for most of the summer.

I would say your best bet (given the kinds of girls you're into):

Anywhere on Hubbard Street. There are ton of bars and clubs here. Swing over to Kinzie as well, there are some places there like Untitled and John Barleycorn. I know there are more along the way there, some i don't even know about.

Hit the DePaul area (McGee's) for college age girls. This is a really easy place to hook up.

Rush and Divison is another area you'll find college age girls.

Not a huge fan of the South Loop, but The Scout has been good to me at times.

Hope this helps.

A great club is The Underground if you're into clubs with fly chicks on 56 Illinois St. Goes till 4am on Fri and 5a on Sat, unlike the 2a bullshit of Cali. Expect to grease and dress sharp. Fun place to get a table if you pop bottles.

A good bar that's generally packed is Rockit Bar and Grill at 22 West Hubbard St. Lots of white girls and you can grab food too. Haven't been in a while but I think they have pool tables.

MidWest is spot on with his advice. Lou Malnati's has the best deep dish pie. Giordano's is a distant second-best IMO. A "Chicago-style" hot dog means every fixing on it except no mustard. It's probably not impressive to out of towners, but alot of born and bred Chicagoans grew up on Vienna Beef dogs and the many scattered dog joints around the city. The Italian beef sandwich is a bun loaded with thin-sliced roast beef, giardiniera, and sauteed sweet peppers. The sandwich is dipped into the juice that the meat was cooked in, so expect the bread to be wet along with the rest. Al's Beef is the best place to go and they have locations around the city. These are the three food groups of any true Chicagoan. If anyone starts telling you about some sushi place or other bullshit, they can go fuck themself.

Closing time Sunday through Friday is 2am, but a few places have a special license to be open until 4am. Closing time on Saturday is 3am, but the places with the special licenses can stay open until 5am. Friday and Saturday are the best nights for going out. Thurdays are good if you go near a college like DePaul in Lincoln Park. Sunday nights are good at spots that have an industry night. It is such a big city that you can typically find something happening somewhere every night of the week. This winter has been one of the worst here in a while. If there is a snowstorm dropping 5-12 inches or negative temperatures, crowds can be a little sparser and the women will be more covered up.

When you go out, take a taxi or the subway (locals call it the "L"). Parking is very difficult in some neighborhoods and if you have to pay for it, it will be expensive. The street meters usually have a limit on how far in advance you can pay for, so this might force you to have to keep running out every few hours and buying more time.

All previous recommendations are good choices. Keep in mind logistics and try hunting closer to your accomodations. Keep in mind some women come into the city from the suburbs with a group of friends to party for just the night, so separating them from their group for a bang can be difficult. She might not have a ride home. Wicker Park, Bucktown, Logan Square are to the northwest of downtown and have alot of hipsters, artsy, and alternative chicks. They are pretty upfront and have no problems with ONS. River North is just north of downtown and has some of the best clubs and lounges in the city. The women in River North tend to be more like Barbies, models, and sugar babies. Lincoln Park is north of North Ave. There are lots of young professionals and also the college girls going to Depaul University. Lakeview/Wrigleyville is even further north and has alot of people in their twenties and thirties. There are tons of bars in this area, especially close to Wrigley Field. The Loop is the epicenter of the city and tends to be rather dead outside of Monday-Friday business hours. Crime is very low in all of the aforementioned areas. When you hear about all of the murders and shootings in Chicago (Chi-raq), that is mostly on the far South Side once the street numbers start getting higher. These areas are mostly African-American and rundown.

As much as I'd like to go out ...we've been doing 12-14 hour days here. And we're working a straight 2 weeks including weekends. Any of you young guys still wanna be engineers [Image: huh.gif]

I pretty much just work and sleep. We went out for dinner and drinks on Valentine's day. Everyone was coupled up and not an ugly girl was in sight. I was too exhausted to even try to pick up after a 12 hour day.

If anyone wants to roll out tonight(Saturday) let me know. I'm at a hotel in the Near North Side.

I'll be out this week possibly Wednesday and Friday. I drive in and always use Spothero. Cheaper parking than just driving in unprepared and you can set up on the phone on your way.
