Yep and I think it's a reason a lot of start ups and tech companies are located in places like the Bay Area in CA and the Seattle metro area in WA. A chicken or egg question: do living and working in those places turn you into a SWPL hipster or do SWPL hipsters just naturally graduate towards those places?

I have been in SV/SF 14 years. The SWPL hipster thing is really only the last 5 years or so. Facebook campus used to be Sun, full of a bunch of older Unix engineers. Facebook attracts hipsters now and everybody wants to live in SF.

I wish someone else had brought this up. That pic is too much dude. That woman is being pinned down, no wonder they asked you to remove the post. Even I had a reaction to the pic, it's too much man. The article is contentious enough with that title, I understand that you're trying to draw some heat, but that picture is understandably going to push people over the edge. C'mon.

^^ pic looks normal to me, nothing strange about it.

edit: of course, couple it with certain words, and yeah, it can be misconstrued easily. But so can almost any pic. Just look at any meme.

The most effective illustration to this article would have been one that, er, illustrated it. Something like the below pic with a cartoon bubble drawn from the text:

"I was kind of hoping you’d keep going and just take me. I thought you were dominant?”

I guess, but is it really a big deal? Is there any girl these days that doesn't welcome at least that much physical dominance, if not much more? Holding a girl's wrists while you fuck her is pretty vanilla.

Which is why men have to stop responding to and honoring the shrill yelps of women and manginas. Adults (i.e. men) try to understand something before responding to it, rather than freaking out when exposed to "triggers" (real or imagined) like an untrained dog. Political correctness is based on the idea that people can't control their knee-jerk emotional reactions. Rather than coddle these people, we should bar them from serious discussion or decision making. If misconstrued words and images on a computer screen can throw you into an incoherent fit, then you're not qualified to be taking care of yourself, let alone dictating to others.

Facebook is shit. I'm using it less and less, and most of the time I open it I only get negative emotions. I still use it, but my circle of FB friends is shrinking because I'm deleting acquaintances and keeping only old good friends. Basically, FB will soon become a place to store some non-personal pictures and a way to keep in touch with 20-30 people, nothing more.

I wonder what the economics are of banning people. I suspect that, like everything else on the internet, there must be some financial motive. Perhaps your "core users" - the guys who drive the most traffic (and therefore, value) to your site - disappear if you don't ban people with differing views. We make fun of the feminist sites for moderating posts and banning ANYONE who has a different world view. That's why so few men exist on those sites - except for white knight manginas. I expect Facebook's traffic is more than 2/3 female and perhaps they need to cater to those users. But its not just the feminist sites - many forums overuse the word "troll" and misapply it to anyone with a differing view, and then ban them. Even this site, which I think is the best forum I've ever been on, is not exactly slow with a ban and since I don't imagine Roosh is terribly thin-skinned I expect there is a commercial reason for that. Roosh would know very well, I imagine, the economics of how banning users affects traffic on a site.

Facebook traffic is very slightly skewed female (like 51/49) according to the most recent data I found.

I don't think FB is banning specific views. They really don't have time to go through all the posts on there. I think it's just an automated process that takes down posts if they receive too many complaints.

I think from an economic standpoint, sites will take down content that too many users object to, whatever that may be. That's why I think a focused effort to report some militant feminist FB posts would have the same result -- it would get taken down.

This actually pretty fucked up because people use FB as a way to remember and document their lives. It's equivalent to demolishing they neighborhood someone grew up in over libel. Terrible.

That's very interesting! Not what I would've guessed. The women I know talk 2-3 times as much as men... I assumed they were posting in that ratio, as well. Come to think of it, amongst my FB friends, more women post than men.

That picture is really nothing to get bothered about. Pinning a girl's arms down on the bed, exactly like in that picture, is a turn-on for the vast majority of normal women. It's a routine move for me and I am not even into rough sex.

edit: on second thought, looking closer, the woman's clenched hands is kind of a bad sign, not typical body language, but not unheard of either.

I've got some idiot imposter who set up an 'official' justin guitar page and is posting porn and dodgy links. I reported it to facebook and they've decided not to remove it - though it clearly is a breech of thier guidelines. Anyone know how I can take it further, it's really not cool - there are people who have not figured out that it's fake. Ideas anyone? Anyone with contacts in Facebook?

I guess not everyone get helped by FB.
