I really appreciate a beautiful and relaxing melody on the piano. Partly because it is quite rare that I find something which really blows me away.

Here are my favourite pieces. Would be interested to see if others can offer up any other suggestions?

Ludovico Einaudi is probably my favourite of contemporary piano.

I love this piece from Frédéric Chopin

Sort of a dupe, however piano is my favorite instrument followed by guitar. I used to play it for at least 5 years but than stopped due to college.

Chopin was a beast.

Keith Jarret's Koln concert is bloody amazing.

A bit of Schubert goes down nicely too.

Yeah - I forgot about Keith Jarrett.

His Koln concert was the first million selling album by a solo jazz musician.

Keith Jarrett was a musical prodigy from a young age. He is famous for improvising his music. When you listen to the concert you have to remember that he literally sat down with no idea what he was going to play - and just made it up on the spot.

On this day his genius was on fire. He never performed this well again.

That's what makes it so fucking amazing. I would rather witness just one such act of creative genius than watch a whole slew of choreographed, over-rehearsed slices of dull perfection. Not that I was there, but it comes across even in the recording.
