colorado cake maker forced by judge to make lesbo cake.

a lot of states are starting to get behind this gay marriage thing and a lot of people in the wedding industry see it as an affront to their values to participate in the joining of same sex couples. Now judges are forcing the hand of these matrimonial artist to create pieces for an event that most likely sickens them.

Now I've always said what 2 connecting adults do in the privacy of their own home is their business and if they want to get married after awhile so be it. At this point no body is going to try and stop them. It's the way the country is going. At the same time you can't force someone to support something that they fear will land them burning in hell of eternity by participating in. I don't get it why somebody feels it's their obligation to make somebody do something they don't want to do. You know what I would have said if this were a situation I was in?

The scenario: me and a girl walk into a wedding cake shop.

Me: hey me and my fiance want a wedding cake.

clerk: I'm sorry but this is a cake shop for LGBT wedding cakes.

Me: No way. Word? You don't do cakes for any straight weddings?

Clerk: Nope that's why it's called "FABULOUS! wedding cakes."

Me: Oh wow. uhh, shit, well OK. hmm. do you know of another place that does cakes I really love this girl and we need a cake for our wedding.

Clerk: Well there's "straight up cakes" on 46th st.

Me: Fuck could they be any more on the other side of town? Well come on honey. Uhh, thanks, I guess.

It's just that simple. everybody's got to start a shit storm every time they don't get there way. It's not like these people berated and demoralized any one. They simply refused service based on their beliefs. No one has ever seen me throw a tantrum at a bar when I was refused service. The proprietor either believed I was to drunk to serve, or it was too late to serve me because the bar was closing. It's that simple. OK plan B. after party at my house. I keep whiskey, vod, sherry, and wine. Am I the only one seeing 1st amendment constitutional rights being trampled on here?

You can work stupid, but you can't fix a fat body.

I would have said yeah and shown them the book of lesbo cakes, the exact same book except LESBO cake written on the front in black marker. The cheapest would start at $5000 and if they ask why, just say: "The less we like doing it, the more we charge!".

That's actually an interesting idea. I wonder if that would be a work around. Just up the prices to six figures.

Does anyone know if that's legal? Could you do the same for all your black customers, for example?

This site says it is.

There might be some blow back for 6 figure cakes, pictures, venue services or what have you but a gay tax might actually be feasable. If you're selling your soul you might as well get a good price for it. I was currious how a judge could force someone to make a cake. If they were forced what's to keep them from doing a poor job, or shooting a load in the batter?

I thought shooting a load in the batter is what made it a gay cake.
