What would you consider the optimal society?

There is a common consensus on the forum on the degeneration of western society because of promiscuity of women. People seem to want the return of times when women weren't as promiscuous, narcissistic, selfish and entitled.

Could this be a case of grass is always greener on the other side, just like "A midnight in Paris" in which everyone thinks their past was the golden era? Because increase in promiscuity is tearing the moral fabric of your society but having sex is so much easy, while that is certainly not the case with most of the world.

I live in a country where promiscuity is looked down upon and single parenthood, especially for an unwed woman, could result in virtual ostracism. Women are in charge of the household and related matters, and are not in competition of oneupmanship with men.

But getting laid outside marriage is quite difficult here. You could get arrested just for talking to strange women. Some men make false promises of marriage to women to get into their pants, and then are charged with rape.

Sure there are sluts (pros and non-pros) everywhere but they are so few it is difficult to find them. There are natural alphas getting action but even their notch count is rarely in double digits. You might argue that that might not be the case with big cities and new generation, and you would be right.

But then also come the problems you people in the west have. Proliferation of feminism, smart-phones and stupid lies such as "Women can succeed in every field a man can." Girls becoming snarky, narcissistic and bitchy, government passing ridiculous laws to appease women. I am quite worried by this downward spiral here.

From a man's viewpoint, the more sluts the better, but that's certainly not good for the society.

Note: My views may be distorted due to the fact I'm a horny young guy and would perhaps mellow out after having more fun. [Image: icon_question.gif]

It appears there's a need to find a middle ground.

So what should, in your opinion, the optimal society, its rules, beliefs and values be?

It's possible the middle ground is fleeting, that it's only reached in a moment of transition from a society that values chastity to one that celebrates whoredom.

Instead of setting out the ideal society, I'll say a few ways in which ours merit improvement:

*The ability to cook healthful nourishing meals is much more common. As a result, obesity is greatly diminished.

*Pregnancy outside of marriage is non-existent with effective sound long term birth control.

*Eliminate federal subsidy of student loans and universities, which prop up an establishment that promulgates and perpetuates beliefs and lifestyles that are hostile to masculine men and their desires.

*Anti-discrimination laws that effectively mandate educating and hiring women at rates equal to men, including selecting sub-par women, is abolished. Gone is the constant shepherding women into the job market where it doesn't make sense (eg giving them expensive training when their total career is much shorter). Without the artificially high number of females in university and the work force, feminist attitudes would decline dramatically.

*Women are made aware of the realities of their biological clock, and not fed happy feel good lies and delusions.

Obesity, single motherhood, feminism, careerism and 'you-go-girlism' as Tuthmosis calls it are some of the biggest sources of male discontent with women.

Many of the problems of Western societies stem from this (in conjunction with other issues to a certain extent) though. Effective birth control is widely available. Who uses it and what effect has that had?

Poor people don't use it, thus creating a massive, unproductive underclass. Such people do get to vote, and of course they end up voting to be supported by certain types of men. Under class men don't pay taxes to provide welfare because they either don't work or work in the black market or crime. So, naturally, any even remotely responsible guy gets it in the neck for this.

Middle and upper class women do use contraception. As a result, not only do they get out bred by lower class women, they get to simultaneously ride the cock carousel and study stupid things at university.

It is unsustainable in the long term. Such societies will eventually either react and become much more traditional, they will be supplanted by outside cultures that are, or they will collapse into enormous ghettos/the third world.

Solutions? Can't see any just yet. Things will have to get much worse before they get better. As Aaron Clarey would say: enjoy the decline.

Whilst I believe any society can, and indeed needs to be improved, I don't believe in trying to make it so. Leave that for some sucker with 'societal responsibility'. Me? I'm only interested in changing my position/status in such a society so as to be more beneficial to myself. Is that not true of most of us on here?

The society in which a good thread concept like this one doesn't turn into a race thread.

I'm a believer in Camille Paglia's form of feminism. I believe in a society where everyone is given equality of opportunity, women included. They've had more than enough benefits given to them over the past few centuries. If a woman has the acumen to pursue an advanced STEM career, or if she has the fortitude to perform well on the battlefield, then she should be allowed to engage in either pursuit. I don't agree with those members here who hold that women are utterly incapable in any field other than housework and the liberal arts. Sure, men may outperform them, but any woman who can hold her own should be given the opportunity to do so.

My ideal society would be free of obesity and libtardation. Women would be intelligent, successful, and contributive, but also feminine and humble. Men would do some obligatory military service at some point between the ages of sixteen and twenty-five. Culture would encourage people in general to pursue physical fitness, read actual books, and participate in community service. There wouldn't be any bullshit magazines like Cos and Star, nor would any of the vapid nonsense on television be broadcast.

A fun exercise in mental masturbation, but none of these optimal societies are possible given human nature. If they exist, they are fleeting at best, as basil mentioned.

My optimal world would have at least six billion less people on it.

The ideal society to me is somewhat out of Plato and Aristotle, containing a strong and enlightened head of state (perhaps something close to the idea of a philosopher-king) counterbalanced by a legislature and a defined set of rights. The franchise must be restricted to people capable of taking part in the affairs of state. That means a decent education and at least an average IQ, along with enough wealth so that you don't vote for endless handouts.

Of course, as Peregrine above me says, that may not be possible in some ways, because the nature of a franchise is to expand, and if that is the case, we face the conundrum of the possibility of arbitrary tyranny, or the gradual descent into idiocracy.

If such a thing is the case, which is best? I honestly don't know.
