Is this Beta?

My girl told me a story about a friend she met.
A hot Colombian girl, 22 years old, married to a banker in NY in his 40s. They met in Colombia and she came to NY and they got married. They live together, he completely supports he financially, she takes English classes at his expense, and he gives her $50 a day spending money. She uses some of that money to support her family back in colombia, sending whatever she saves from her daily allowance back home.
Was that beta?

It sounds to me like a pretty decent deal assuming an adequate prenup is in place. Thats only like 20k a year and I've gotta assume for banker in his 40s in NYC that is at worst 10% of his income. Sounds like a good deal.

Is he getting what he wants out of it? Is his quality of life improved by this arrangement?
That is all that matters. The means of achievement are irrelevant, only procuring the desired result.

The only thing beta was marrying her.
Could have done the whole arrangement thing where she cooks, cleans, brings him his slippers and drink when he comes home, etc. Sex on demand whenever he wants. In return he pays the bills. But marrying her is a recipe for disaster? Just asking for trouble--especially this paying for her to learn English thing.
Likely Scenario--she stays with him for a while, learns English, learns American feminist doctrine, divorcees him and gets half his wealth. Mission accomplished for the little gold-digger.
He has often been called the "Last of the Romans"
"We have prostitutes for our pleasure, concubines for our health, and wives to bear us lawful offspring."--Demosthenes (384–322 BC), Red Pill Greek Statesman

Winning isn't the most important thing, it's the only thing.
But you make a good point and I will concede that marrying the woman puts your personal wealth in jeopardy, and that's a strategically inadvisable move. If she turns sour, and can effect your finances, she can hinder your ability to win in the future and that's a bad thing.
