Return Of Kings' 2013 Man Of The Year: ?

1) Roosh for correctly calling 2013 being the year the manosphere goes mainstream.

2) Putin for having balls of steel.

I nominate that IT guy that got fired for his tweets and wouldn't back down from his comments.

This is an excellent idea.

My vote goes to Snowden. This was a man with a mission. He did not let his girlfriend, a cushy life in the power seat of the USA, or the fact that the CIA, ATF, DEA, et al would want his scalp, distract or derail him from his mission. What he did was heard around the world and will hopefully bring some kind of change for the better, doubtful, but who knows.

Perhaps we could do 2 categories?

1) ROK's Man of the Year, with a published article that will spread

2) RVF Member of the Year, with a thread posted just on the forum itself

Putin. In addition to what's already been mentioned, he finally divorced his wife this year. [Image: thumb.gif]

1) Edward Snowden - you already know

2) Shane Smith - the founder of Vice. Yes, we all know it's fashionable around these parts to hate on their hipster as fuck articles written by members of the Tumblr School of Journalism. But let's admit - Vice on HBO is the first real bit of investigative journalism that has made its way mainstream. They cover topics that mainstream news refuses to touch, partially because they are bound to the 24 hour constantly updating news cycle and partially because every broadcast must carry with it a particular agenda. Vice is the only fresh breath that journalism has seen in ages. Plus Shane Smith had the balls to tell a senior Taliban leader that his interpretation of the Quran was wrong.

and an honorable mention goes to...

John Cena. Yes, the pro wrestler. He is the single biggest "wish granter" in the Make-A-Wish foundations history, and that deserves some props

Good shout. For this reason I'll alter my first choice from V. Klitschko to Putin!

Whatever your politics, Snowden and Putin are both dull choices that can and will be made by many other blogs. There is nothing about either choice that really makes clear what RoK is all about and pisses off enough of the right people at the same time.

I nominate James Woods.

[Image: 1372348748_james-woods-kristen-baugness-lg.jpg]

The guy is 66, he's fucking a very doable 20 yr old after having just broken up with a 26 year old. He is also an excellent and underrated actor, a ballsy guy who doesn't give a shit about what others think, and a good man.

I can think of no one better for RoK to get behind, and no one who would piss the feminists off more.

If we are going down that line we could go with the teacher that left his wife and kids for a student. Had the bitch break up with him just to come back.

No, there is underage shit involved there. We don't need to be associated with that.

Woods is perfect. The thought of a 66 year old man getting well earned, willingly given and gleefully received head from a 20yr old girl is enough to bring tears of joy to my eyes and tears of rage to the eyes of many a feminist hag.

It smells like victory.

I think Klitschko would be a great pick in the future - right now he's something of an unproven commodity on the political scene.

"There is nothing about either choice that really makes clear what RoK is all about and pisses off enough of the right people at the same time."

ROK is about macking fresh pussy, and also more than that. It's in part about promoting a world that will satisfy straight, masculine men more than the current state of affairs. Some actor somewhere slaying fresh pussy does nothing for your life or that of other men.

Chuck Feeney, the formerly secret Irish billionaire philanthropist is a great choice too, though I'd have to read up more on him. Also not sure if 2013 was particularly notable for him.

No there isn't. The official story is he didn't do anything with her until she was 18. There was only speculation by the PC crowd to have him punished. Woods is too rich and famous to have anyone question his deeds successfully. That's why the teacher is a better option. He is an average dude that pulled it off. If there were underage shit, why is she still with him and he's not in jail?

MODESTO — James Hooker, a former Modesto teacher who gained national attention last year when he left his wife for a former student, reached a settlement today in a criminal case stemming from a previous encounter.

Hooker pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge. Hooker had been charged with one count of committing oral copulation with a person younger than 18, stemming from an incident alleged to have occurred in 1998.

To be clear, I think these are ridiculous trumped up charges, and a shameful prosecution. But there is no upside for RoK to be associated with any underage nonsense. Too easy a target for the feminists.

Not the same person he's involved with now. He also plead no contest. So while he admits what the accusation is, he doesn't admit guilt (paging Manguero). In my opinion, it makes it better, but I'll concede the point. I still don't think we should nominate Woods. That's like nominating Flipper for "Swimmer of the Year".

Guys, Putin may have a lot of Alpha characteristics that we appreciate, but how does he deserve being man of the year? He essentially runs a racket where silences dissent by throwing people in jail and even killing them.

Imagine we lived in a country where the leader disliked game and signed off as sending Roosh some radioactive poison. Not cool.

There's no game in coercion.

At least the Snowden guy was fighting forces wildly more powerful than him. Putin's essentially a dictator. Nobody challenges him.

I have to agree with Soup, even though Putin has some great qualities he IS a dictator.

Snowden is more heroic to me for what he had to deal with.

That's great for James but that chick is a 6 at best. Put her on a college campus and most guys here don't give her a second look.

Don't get me wrong, I'd smash, but I think man of the year for a men's lifestyle blog entails something more than a rich guy banging a younger chick. Woods wasn't even relevant in his career in 2013.
