New mother: Caroline Berg Eriksen, pictured with her baby daughter this week, has provoked outrage among the blogging community with the post

The blogger gave birth to her daughter Neilia on Monday morning.

Posting on Instagram, she said: 'I gave birth to the most beautiful baby girl yesterday, 10 minutes past 9 in the morning Her name is Nelia and she is perfect.'

Mrs Berg Eriksen, who is married to Premier League player Lars-Kristian Eriksen has sparked outrage in the Norwegian media with the post - with one blogger slamming the move as 'wildly provocative.'

Writing online, writer Suzanne Aabel said she couldn't be sure if Mrs Ber Eriksen even 'belonged to the same species'.

She said: 'In my eyes, this picture is wildly provocative.

'Not just because I'm the chubby girl who's envious of her petite figure, but because I began to despise my own body when I was about twelve.'

Commenting on the post, one writer Heidi said: 'Is it really necessary to post a halvnakent picture of themselves?! It's just to show off, thinking's not much on how that image can affect readers.'

Commenting on the photo on Instagram, one user laurajanewilkes said, 'Can she look like this 4 days after???'

Mrs Berg Eriksen replied to her critics on Facebook, saying: 'I let out the picture because I'm proud of myself and my body for something as tough as a pregnancy / birth, and I think all mothers, regardless of the body shall be.'

The blogger was also backed by Gro Nylander, head of the women's clinic at the Norwegian National Hospital.

According to the Local, she said: 'I don't think we should bully The Footballer's Wife. 'Life is unfair, some people have flat stomachs while others have pouts.'

The doctor added that new mothers must understand that every body responded differently to pregnancy and that is was not productive to compare to other women.

'The most imporant thing is to be kind to your body. It's a positive thing to have a few extra kilos on your body after birth,' she said.

Mrs Berg Eriksen studied journalism at the Norwegian School of Creative Studies before becoming a fitness and health blogger.

She lives in rural Norway with husband Lars-Kristian Eriksen and Hugo her chihuahua.

Lars-Kristian Eriksen plays for Odd Grenland in the Norwegian Premier League.

He has played 19 games for Norway under 21s national football team.

A little attention whoring and fat shaming...and the fat hamsters go wild. [Image: banana.gif]

What's not to like about this? Looks pretty good for just having a little one. Would bang.

Thanks for sharing the article, I am curious though what the birth weight of the baby is. I mean, I think it is fantastic that she looks that good, but did she eat enough for the kid?

All for fat shaming but as a man, I would want the mother of my child to be eating adequately to care for the child and ensure proper development. Seems like she is a health nut so she probably did all the right things, but it is crazy she can look that good 4 days after birth!!!

Would bang with reckless abandon. I sure wouldn't expect my wife to look like that 4 days after giving birth, but if she did I'd be delighted. I'd certainly expect her to start working in that direction soon. Plus, a child from such a healthy mother really has good odds of being healthy too.

Congratulations to the wife on her dedication and the husband on his game.

For any expecting husbands reading this, for best results, post the picture and a copy of the accompanying blog post on your fridge when your wife hits the end of the first trimester.

This reminds me of a thread we were discussing earlier in which everyone could agree that women don't like to feel fat or ugly.

If you want to be provocative to other women as a babe take a picture of yourself looking hot and slim for uglier, older and fatter women to run some comparison. They will want to slit their wrists. It is female nature.

Has anyone ever watched the Victoria's Secret model show alongside girls?

This was an eye opening experience for me in my early 20s. When I was at college and we were watching it on the big screen in the common room you could hear the sobs and similar outbursts of misery. The girls would be transfixed to this show even though they knew it would put a dagger through their self-esteem. Obviously the guys loved it.

Reminds me of the woman with the 3 kids who posted this "What's your excuse?" statement on her Facebook awhile back, which angered the Large and In-Charge:

MARIA Kang started a fitness blog almost a decade ago but you probably didn't hear about her until this week.

And when her name did make it on to your radar, it was probably accompanied by words like "judgmental", "fat-shamer" and "bully".

Without meaning to, the LA-based mother-of-three sparked a war on Facebook when she posted a photo of herself dressed in fitness gear, showing off her super-toned abs, surrounded by her three little boys.
Harmless enough under normal circumstances, but at the top of the photograph, Kang asks What's your excuse?

Maria Kang, her three boys, a rocking body and a controversial question.

That pissed off a lot of people.

New mums all over the world apparently felt that Kang was shaming them for not being in similar shape as her so quickly after giving birth.

The picture was seen by millions and attracted thousands of comments. These are some of the choice disses she attracted from other women:

"Not that I *NEED* an excuse for not working out, but here's mine you self-righteous idiot: fibromyalgia."

"What's my excuse? Cancer. If you really cared to promote health you wouldn't need to be half naked. You can show health by being dressed. The fact you chose attire such as this is that you were promoting appearance."

Kang issued a faux-pology, pointing out she's not naturally skinny and works relentlessly to stay in shape. If you interpreted her post as a dig at other mums, she says, that's not her fault. It's yours.

And for every hater, there's a woman on Facebook who supports her message:

"DO NOT APOLOGIZE!!! To look like this takes hard work. the people calling you a bully obviously don't have what it takes."

"Completely positive!! Good motivation and truth."

Kang, 32, is unabashed about her post-baby body, which may be fitter than the average but also proudly bears the hallmarks of motherhood - stretchmarks and excess skin.

Kidspot Australia's Alex Brooks says Kang's message isn't wrong, just provocative.
"People will take offence because body image is a very, very touchy and personal subject, particularly with mothers," Brooks told news.com.au.

"Our research shows 95 per cent of mothers find their weight one of the most stressful things in their lives. You'd think it would be juggling work and running a household and getting dinner on the table, but it's not. Body image is a very big deal.

If you're wondering why a paper wrote "That pissed off a lot of people" it's because its an article published in Australia and swear words other than cunt have no shock value to the general population.

Clearly then, a woman with a good body who takes care of herself will cause huge distress to the general female population if she expresses pride in herself. There is absolutely nothing that will make women angrier as a group than one of their own kind who is willing to admit that she is sexy and enjoying life.

Can we declare fat acceptance to be dead? I'm not just seeing it make progress in convincing people that being fat is okay.

Maybe too soon to declare victory. Recent Abercrombie & Lululemon CEOs both caved to the demands of fatties by promising to make clothes that fit them. Some countries even force retailers to carry plus-sized clothing by invoking non-discrimination statutes. Unfortunately, there is still a lot of money to be made by catering to fat women.

Fat acceptance is a sure loser over the long-term, but the fatties are having their day right now.

I guess it's a positive sign that the haters are honest about their outrage being an effect of their insecurities, rather than some faux chubby-is-healthy reason.

Its not dying off without a fight. Fatties everywhere are still trying to convince people that being fat is a beautiful thing.

Your just used to seeing fat whale prego girls whom gain 80lbs for a 7lbs child. Just remember that a female usually had children at 18 back in the day with frames that small to the girl in the OPs post. I can't imagine she kept it 100% kosher but there is nothing to be alarmed about.

My old FB was petite like this broad and only gained a little weight, mostly in her boobs. She actually looked better with tits and curves but she loosed the weight quick after her kid came out.

Women are supposed to look "better" while prego. This is the sham that has been sold I modern mothers to eat big macs everyday when it's the opposite. The glowing skin, massive tits, bigger hips, all all apexes of fertility for women and is a vehicle that supposed to keep men interested in mating with the girl again. Once you pop one why would you pop one in that broad again? The incentive is to make her more attractive on a pure carnal sexual level. This is to keep the desire to mate quickly with her again once she is able to. Ideally when look most fertile, an will burn of baby weight quickly if they nurse so they can return back to having more kids.

Nobody is running wild to Fuk prego women but evreybody can remember when a prego broad just hit all then right buttons with that nice skin and huge perky boobs.

Theyre all angry because they dont want men to know the truth that you can be fit while giving birth. North american girls use being pregnant as an excuse to get fat and we men have always been force fed this bullshit whole growing up. If ur woman gets fat its cus shes downing haagen daaz ice cream and mcdonalds fries, not because shes pregnant. This women just proved them all wrong.

Nah, too soon to call it dead. Just saw something with this utterly hideous wildebeest parading around on a catwalk and taking an air of haughtiness with it. She used to be really hot too. She thinks her new body is a good thing.
