I think Indian girls are hot as hell (not trolling) when they look like the pics above. Persian girls are similar; darker complexions, with "white" facial features. I think it's a Bollywood thing though to try to appear white, much like black actresses in the US - 95% of Indian girls within the country look totally different.

There's not much difference looks wise between a top of the line tanned Latina, Persian and Indian women. Some of the Bollywood actors and actresses are part-Persian.

Bollywood actresses don't try to appear white - pale skin as a sign of beauty was around in all Asian countries way before any Europeans arrived there. It's associated with wealth since rich people don't get dark by working in the fields.

In my opinion the reason why a lot of Indian women in India look like crap is:
  • poverty - a lot of women can barely afford to eat properly. Getting food is a struggle. They can't afford to work on their looks. - bad diet - a lot of rich Indians are vegetarians and the others eat shitty anyway due to hunger. - lack of a culture of gym going and fitness. Many Indian women never lose their "baby weight" once they have a kid. -strong slut shaming culture - many Indian women never make up until they get married. They don't want to be seen as sluts. Since there's a strong arranged marriage culture, many don't really care about making an effort looks wise until they want to get married.

  • A lot of the women who are actresses tend to come from a pretty privileged background and have a different lifestyle to the average Indian.

I'm originally from the UK and the Indian women there are way hotter than the ones in the US. Some reasons are:
  • they're born and raised in the UK so are aware that they should try to look good.
  • there's a big clubbing culture in the UK so women doll themselves up.
  • they're mostly from northern parts of India (Punjab and Gujurat), where the the women tend to be hotter.
The ones in the US look worse in my opinion:
  • Many are South Indian - they're not known for their looks
  • US born ones..many have a bad a diet and are obese, and/or have never set foot inside a gym
  • FOBs - they make up the majority as far as I can see, and tend to come from a nerdy engineering/science background and don't take care of their appearance.

God I detest Indian women. Absolutely the worst. They make my blood boil.

Bollywood actresses are not representative of Indian women. Indian women don't look like that. Bollywood is mostly Parsi (Persian-Indians), Muslim/Kashmiri people.

Oh and Katrina Kaif (above) is half-white.

To be honest, there are now a lot more young "westernized" girls in major cities (My experience is mainly in Mumbai) who are taking care of themselves and look pretty darn good. A lot more than whatever the stereotype is on this forum. I have made 2 trips in the last two years, and was really shocked at how much they go out to bars etc there too. The problem with this also becomes the influx of feminism...

Though there are some muslim women in bollywood, most of them are either Punjabi's or Bengali's.
From the above posted pics , Bipasha Basu is Bengali ,Anushka Sharma is a Punjabi,Deepika Padukone is a south Indian, while Priyanka Chopra is a Punjabi.
Only Katrina Kaif is a half muslim.

The hottest Bollywood actresses are from South India in my opinion, however Bollywood until recent times has had a greatness of dropping bitches who've hit the wall from lead roles. This has fallen a bit in recent times, I'll drop my favourites in a bit and as one poster mentioned the actress getting trolled by the journalist is known for being a high class who're for middle Eastern billionaires the hypocritical slut

Its not a Bollywood thing. Its a combination of TV ads and an antiquated centuries-old thought process that pale skin is the best. This drives Bollywood, which in turn drives media turning into a cycle that never ends.

If you look at the number of TV ads catered towards skin products here for dark skinned people in India, its truly mind boggling. And now that products are also for men, they claim that even dark-skinned men can get a fair-skinned girl.

At the fundamental level, it comes down to the mentality of the individual. There is always the perception that fair skin is a sign of superiority among Indians. Given that most of the men from the South are brown/dark skinned and not known for their looks, the products are catered to them to get beautiful women.

80's and 90's actress Madhuri Dixit who is recognised as the greatest dancer

Now and in late 80s

Many people's favourite is Madhuri
all the new girls come from Beauty Pageant contests or are from famous film families like the Kapoor dynasty

I can't say I honestly have enough experience to put out a full blown datasheet. I have gone for a few days on each trip. I think on my next trip I will go for longer (atleast a month in the major cities/mumbai) and focus on the details. Maybe a true Mumbai datasheet will be coming in the future.

Ok the accent is a little annoying.

Maybe I'm missing something. One, would bang the shit out of her. I think she's pretty gorgeous actually. Easy 8.5 from me.

Maybe she's a bitch, but I'm not getting that from this clip. She's fired up and calling it like it is against India, the most beta country on earth.

Let's not confuse Western women bitching and Indian women bitching. Western women have no right to bitch; Indian women do. If there's anyone that's allowed some space to complain about violence and mistreatment against women, it's Indians and Africans.

And all I can think during the entire length of this clip is, "Hot damn, if she's like this in a press conference, imagine her in the bedroom." But that's just me.

"...so I gave her an STD, and she STILL wanted to bang me."

I love the food in India/Pakistan. Those spices are addictive and I like intense spice in my life.

But that's about the only thing in that culture that interests me. The Indian women I've run across in the US have been shockingly arrogant, entitled, and unpleasant, even by the standards here in the US.

Maybe it would be different if you were living over there...but then again, with the obsession about religion and caste, who would want to?

What really irritates me is the fact that they insist on using English all the time. It's such a groveling, ass-kissing behavior that it just really says, "I don't respect my own culture and language. I'm going to use English to kiss the ass of the US and Britain." I don't know, this really bothers me. I think people should be proud of their language and use it in their home country. But in India, everywhere you see English. This is really sad. I know, I know, they have all these reasons why they need to use it. But to me it just screams "Lack of self-respect, low self-esteem."

It's most practical that English is the standard language. There's easily 16 official languages and over 1000 dialects. Languages spoken in the south (Tamil, etc) have as much in common with northern languages (hindi etc) as say russian does with swahili. So it makes more sense for English to be the common language in parliament etc.

There's a million other things Indians do for status and look better than others, not sure language is necessarily one of them.

Bigxxx, I know. I hear that argument all the time. But I just don't agree with it. They could just as easily use Hindi.
The reason why it's bad is that constantly using English marginalizes and hurts the native languages, and contributes to language decay and extinction.
I mean, they start kids learning English when they're barely children. They have no time to absorb their native culture.
It's just cultural imperialism, and another expression of the Indian obsession with pleasing the powerful.
You don't see this obsession with English to such an extent as in India and Pakistan.

I think you might be oversimplifying a bit. India is an extremely complex country and there's a lot of variables you have to take into account.

First: who speaks English?
1. Rich/upperclass
2. Educated middle class

60-70% of the country doesn't understand English as they don't have the means to get educated in English. If you go to the rural area, everyone speaks the local languages and all the signs etc are in the local language.

Why do the rich speak English. First of all, being educated at a British or American schools (Oxford and Cambridge being perennial favorites) is a status symbol. Secondly, many of the rich have big companies with foreign ties and hence having a good command of the English language is a strong point.

Why do middle-class speak English. Job opportunities are more bound when you can communicate in English as you may either get a job in the US or have to deal with international clients. It makes complete sense from a purely economical point of view. I've heard of people in India not being able to find a job or being stuck at their job because they can't speak English. Why would you shoot yourself in the foot like that? Being proud of your heritage does not put food on the table. Also, it makes life a lot easier if you do end up moving outside of the country (India is not like the US, where hard work can pay off well. Social mobility was extremely hard). If you don't believe, listen to how Fareed Zakaria or Dineshh D'souza speak. Pretty well, in my opinion. I wonder how many foreign-born and raised Chinese or Japanese Americans have their kind of exposure. Indian doctors...yeah do you not want them to be comprehendable?

Don't get me wrong, a lot of Indians do have terrible accents or bad English altogether...usually people from lower middle-class or lower class altogether...or from the south.

Which bring me to your statement about why not just Hindi? It's a valid point, but here's the thing: They tried. And failed miserably. Why? Because the bitch ass state of Tamil Nadu didn't want to learn Hindi. I've been to Tamil Nadu, these people will get angry if you even attempt to speak in Hindi. They're too fucking proud of their heritage and as a result, there's ton of unemployment (in comparison to e.g. the state of Gujurat where business is booming and a lot of people can speak in English). These idiots rather not have a job than learn Hindi or English. Well fuck it, they want to stay poor. Their problem.

The other thing about Hindi...it didn't exist 200 years ago. It's a relatively new language, a mashup of sorts. A small minority has Hindi as its native tongue. So really, you're asking Indians to choose between Hindi (a language very few actually consider their native tongue) and English (which provides economical benefits). And just to reiterate, they tried Hindi and failed. Don't misunderstand India. Most Indians very much despise the West, but they're not dumb enough (excepts Tamils) to not learn English and make $$$ as a result.

Just to emphasize that: Bombay, Bangalore, Madras (western names) etc have been renamed to Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai etc. It's true that there is a lot of English being used in cities (i.e. signs etc.), however cities were where the British lived and they picked street names etc, so that's more of a historical artifact than anything else. I mean, the roads etc are example: Breach Candy, GT Road, etc. Heck, you actually have regional parties such as the Shiv Sena demanding street names be in Marathi and English so the locals can understand the street name in Marathi and everyone else can do English.

Make no mistake, Indians use English for economical and status reasons, not to kiss ass to the West.

This is factually accurate. Indian women in the US (whether the fobby or american kind) are downstraight arrogant, entitled, unpleasant and honestly plain stupid. Here is why (generalizing a bit, but accurate for most Indians in the US):

1. Most have relatively well off parents (Indians have been relatively successful in the US)...their dads especially though tend to pamper the daughter. To an insane amount. More so than regular women in the US. Their princess complex is insane. I can't emphasize that enough, most of them actually think they're the fucking shit despite having done nothing noteworthy.

2. They're very clique. A lot of them only hang out with other Indian women, effectively amplifying their believes off of each other. I once heard an Indian girl say "I'm not marrying a guy unless he proposed with a $100k ring." All the guys were like: WTF. The (Indian) girls though all agreed with her.

3. Indian guys are clique as well. So you end up with a very small social group, all Indians. Dudes only hit on the Indian girls (as they almost never hang out with any other race). They don't day or night game. They just hit on the women in their social circle. These girls have beta orbiters like no other, further boosting their ego.

4. Bollywood movies...guys doing the craziest and most beta shit for girls.

Nothing or no one in their near vicinity ever challenges their worldview. Ever inflating bubble. Though most of them do feel pressure to get married (they are upper middle class after all) and eventually settle down with an Indian dude. But that ego never disappears.

Indian people live on status. They would rather lose an arm than lose face. Most interesting herd of sheep I've ever seen.

Something that confuses me is that India is known for being a harsh country for a female to live in but at the same time I'm always hearing about how Indian American girls are super spoiled. If Indian men really are as sexist as the stereotypes, wouldn't their behavior towards women in their family be the opposite of spoiling and pampering them?

Genghis:

Your last two comments here are awesome. I very much appreciate them, and enjoyed reading them. You taught me much about India I did not know. I just repped you for it and it was well-deserved.

I actually feel a little bit better after reading it. I hope you can understand where I'm coming from. I consider myself a linguo-maniac and it pisses me off to see minority languages around the world getting buried by the colossus of English. In my purist vision, I think all countries should educate their people in their own language and use their own languages as vehicles for higher education.

I know this view is not the most practical, but for me it's a big deal. The perception I get is that Indians embrace English too much (as also do the Filipinos). Their native languages are going to die out unless they start using them as vehicles for higher education. Syria totally Arabized their entire educational curriculum in the 1960s and 1970s. And Arabic was almost overnight brought back in Algeria after the revolution in the 1960s.
In Brazil, nobody runs around trying to embrace English, and neither does it happen in Japan. When I travel, I want to escape from English. I don't want the world to be all the same.

I did find some good news about Indian languages. Amazingly, the ancient language of Sanskrit is apparently still spoken in some places. There is even a radio station that plays the news in it. Impressive. To me, that would be like Latin still being used in Europe.

If you have scholarly interests, I found an interesting series called the Clay Sanskrit Library (published by NYU Press). It publishes many classics of Sanskrit, with a facing English translation on the opposite page (much like the Loeb Classical Libary series for Latin and Greek). Check it out:
