Anyone seen this show? It's a mockumentary about high school life done in Australia starting in '07. Makes fun of those stupid reality shows.
The reason I'm posting about it is because it has a running joke about...an eating disorder! The show's creator Chris Lilley plays three roles, one of which is a self-absorbed, manipulative teenage girl named Ja'ime who mentions she had an eating disorder in every episode.
The other roles he plays are a troubled, illiterate minority kid and a petty, tyrannical gay drama teacher. So the show basically goofs on the three things you can't joke about in America. Plus, he's a straight white guy who has dated at least one hot model type.
Lilley is bringing the Ja'ime character to US TV for a solo show but there is no way US television would air "Summer Heights High," with all of the above (plus it skewers the educational system).
Here are the first four episodes. The musical the drama teacher writes is hilarious in its wrongheadedness and totally believable if you ever knew this type of teacher.

Addendum: forgot to mention they make fun of the mentally challenged too, like in this music video from the drama production (a hit song in Australia):
