My trip to the Atlantis came up on another thread so I thought I'd do a scouting report.
I was at the Atlantis for about 5 days in June. That was my first trip to Nassau. The accommodations in my part of the hotel were just OK but the rates were reasonable. The crowd was mostly older couples, kids, teenagers. Really there were just a ridiculous amount of kids everywhere. It was very hard to pick single women out of the crowd. The dance club is decent and people come from other hotels and resorts to go out there. Even there there were tight knit groups and couples. There is a higher priced part of the resort called The Cove. Here there are no kids allowed and you aren't allowed to enter the pool area unless you are a guest of the Cove. I managed to make some friends with some people staying there and posing as one of them, scammed a wirst band. The pool there is just like you might see in a rap video. Very oppulant. Good music. Low level celebs when I was there. I saw Vanilla Ice there and met the Gotti kids entourage. I later had drinks off of the Gotti's bottle service at the club. I had very poor luck at the Atlantis. I was making some progress with some 19 year old girls I met in the tube ride on the my last day there but I had to run to catch my plane. Girls I was chatting up at the Cove pool would dip to the fist celebrity to show up.
My last two days there I figured out a system. I left the resort and headed to cheap bars frequented by college girls. The Senior Frog's at the cruise terminal was great. Since the Atlantis resort and casino are the biggest attraction on the island it was easy to get girls to come back with me to check it out. I've been trying to figure out other locations where this would work, stay at the nicest place in town and troll the dive bars for young/broke chicks to bring back. Of course staying at a cheap hotel near the dive bar might work even better and save some money.
In general I can't really recommend the Atlantis. You might have some luck throwing some money around at the dance club or the Cove pool or you could try the system I worked out. Next time I would look for a resort with a younger crowd.
