Currently working on this. A bit much to slog through at times, but a good read nonetheless.

AfgScarface, great selections with Hell's Angels and The Spirit Molecule. Haven't read either in a long while but I may have to re-read both as I remember being fond of the two books.

Currently reading King Leopold's Ghost by Adam Hochschild. Leopold's insatiable drive to conquer and acquire wealth is fascinating, especially considering he never set foot in the land that brought Belgium vast riches.

Finished reading Wilbur Smith's "When the Lion Feeds," and am now about 1/3rd of the way through "Wuthering Heights," by Emily Bronte.

WTLF was almost a little chick litty in some parts, but overall was a very interesting book, giving interesting insights into the lives and times of both blacks and whites during the late 1800's. Started off a little slow, but becomes fast paced and full of action around the middle, with a lot of interesting (at times cruel) twists. Contains a surprisingly large amount of powerful and, at times, controversial red pill writing (probably why it was banned in South Africa)

Still unsure about Wuthering Heights. I'll have to get a little further through it I guess

This thing. It's called "The Keylogger" and it's the story of a guy who installed a keylogger on his machine and got the facebook/email passwords for 10 of his girlfriends. I bought it off of Matt Forney's recommendation, because Matt's a stellar writer, but I think he must be a buddy of the author's or something because it's really not that great. It's very short (90 pages) and about 8.99$, so you're not getting a lot of value for your money.

That said, the ideas in the book are interesting. Over and over again, the authors meets a wonderful girl only to find out that she's talking with other guys behind his back. By the end of it, you'll wonder why you ever trusted a woman at all.

Since you all undoubtedly know the first three, I'll elaborate a little on the other two I'm also reading. (I like to read 3-5 books at a time so that I can pick up whichever piques my interest atm and I also find it easier to digest the information when spreading out the reading over a longer time period.)

Long Way Round by Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman - About a motorcycle trip around the world. Just started it. About 40 pages in, hasn't really taken off yet.

One Year Lived by Adam Shepard - Also just started. Basic premise is that he travels around the world for a year on a severely limited budget and checks off items on his bucket list. - HIGHLY recommend his first book called "Scratch Beginnings". To prove a point, he picks a randomly selected city on a map, goes there with the clothes on his back and $25. He starts out living in a homeless shelter and his goal was to have, after one year, $2,500, a working automobile, and a furnished apartment.

I am re-reading The 48 Laws of Power. I reckon I will read McQueen's book afterwards.

Also, I am still on occasion reading user Beyond Borders book 'The Smell of Pines' when I feel like reading fiction. It's a good book and he did a great job with the visualizations. One of these days, I will finish it and I will write a review!

One of the greatest books ever written in my opinion. Every now and again I'll re-read a chapter. Almost every day I take a minute or two to re-read a few of the laws and contemplate how I've integrated them into my own life.

Robert Greene is one of the best. Mastery is also very, very good, as well as of course The 48 Laws of Power.

His next book is meant to be about human psychology and body language. I'm sure it will be great.

Every man should read The 48 Laws of Power and Mastery.

I just read Outliers by Malcom Gladwell. I think I've seen it mentioned on here a few times. I was wondering what you guys who have read it thought about it. Chiefly, what can we learn from it? I think he made some interesting observations and pointed out some patterns, but I don't see what the big deal is about his conclusion that success is largely tied to when and where we were born, to whom, etc. Sure, Bill Gates and the computer software giants were born in the '50s in the right places, the best athletes are often born just after the cutoff date for their participation in youth sports leagues, and there is a sort of self-fulfilling prophecy in that the "most gifted" get the most access to the best resources which in turn makes them better, and so on. The 10,000-hour mastery rule, tying plane crashes to cultural norms, and the other tangents were neat, but I finished it feeling a little unsatisfied. It was kind of like reading a TED talk, which are basically an intellectual circle jerk in my opinion. The most interesting thing I guess I would take away from it would be to try to figure out which cultural and business phenomena should have been my path to success based on my birthdate and upbringing.

Actually, it might be kind of fun to do a case study:

http://www.rooshvforum.network/thread-31872-...23420.html

You guys remember this girl? The one with the perfect ass with the thousands of Twitter followers... The reason we need game. Gladwell would say that she was born in 1991 to a white, upper middle class family in California, giving her unlimited access to technologies like Facebook, Youtube, and Twitter which would usher in a golden era of attention whoring right when she hit 22 years old. She grew up amidst a culture of easy credit that placed a high value on instant gratification and looking hot, which rewarded her for keeping up her appearance, following trends, and partying hard. Had she been born ten years earlier, she would would have hit the wall by the time that social media and cell phone technology became fully mature, allowing females like her to become internet celebrities. Had she been born five to ten years later, she would have suffered the next wave of (fill in the blank.) Of course, she had achieved 10,000 hours of mastery on the I-phone and social media sites like Myspace and Facebook well before attention whoring and internet celebrity became a viable path to "the lifestyle…"

I just logged on to write about this very book.

There's a good review of it here: http://mattforney.com/2014/01/08/the-key...olas-jack/

As you say it's not the best-written book in the world.... but it definitely reveals what today's man is having to deal with.

As well as the above, I'm reading The Professional Bachelor: How to Exploit her Inner Psycho by Dr. Brett Tate.

It's about as red-pill as it gets, and is full of great little quotes such as "in the game of life, men appreciate and women depreciate. Plan accordingly".

It contains a lot of on-point and surprisingly accurate descriptions of female personality types, the careers you are most likely to find them in and the best strategies for getting the lay.

Entertaining, intelligent and highly recommended.
