What do you do when you're sick?

What do you do when you're sick?

1.Sleep. A lot. Fuck work. Take a break from workout, it will only be good for you to skip a week if you exercise regularly for a long time.

2.Drink baking soda 1 teacup to glass of water.

3.Don't put your eyes and mind under stress of TV and computer. No Facebook, no movies, no games. If you are bored from sleeping, read a book.

4.Drink warm herbal teas.

5.Fast, don't eat anything. Organism either digests or recovers. Also sicknesses love your food. Starve them.

6.Especially avoid eating diary, meat and sugar as well as processed foods.

7.Switch to soup when you are already recovering but not quite healthy.

8.Avoid salesmen called ''doctors'' and their products called ''modern medicine''

9.Meditate, search for purpose of life, reflect on your actions, lift your soul up, forgive all grudges, pray to God, regret sins, bless your neighbor, start a new life.

Be glad you're not that sick... stick to fluids like soup and jello, take some sinus & cold meds, stock up on klenex's & rest for a while. My immune system doesn't work, when I get colds, they turn into sinus infections and bronchitis, and then that turns into pneumonia and I end up hospitalized on IV antibiotics.

Tons of Vitamin C. Drink lots of water. Many hours of sleep. Neti Pot if nose is clogged. Hot showers.

What do you do when you're sick?

1. Green tea
2. Celery+Carrot+Beet+Ginger juice
3. Take at least a week off training
4. Read good books
5. Avoid work and stress as much as possible

I find that if I can take a few days to chill out and let my body fight the cold, I'll spend three days with a bit of a sore throat in the AM and then recover. But when I try to power through, I can lose a week or two feeling like crap.

Jump rope. High intensity (double unders, sprints in place etc).
This is when I feel the sickness starting - sore throat, runny nose, and all that shit.
I am always healthy the next day or so.

I beat swine flu in a day with rest, lentil soup, orange juice, echinacea tea and plenty of water.

Don't eat a lot. It's natural for animals to fast when they're sick. The body needs all the energy it can get to fight off the germs.

Dont eat even when you just have a cold? I got a cold a few days ago and because I have just been vegging around the house I have been eating a shit load all day long. Wake up, eat, sleep, barely manage to do anything. I am tired as shit. Maybe I would feel better if I wasn;t eating so much and was slightly more active and ambitious.

If you want the fasting option, depending on what you caught, I recommend this.

I started doing The Master Cleanse, by Stanley Burroughs almost 15 years ago with great results, so I'll pass it along.

The book itself is cheap, so get it, but disregard everything he says other than the fast itself. Most of these super vegan health nuts takes shit too far. For years you couldn't find a bad review, but then it started getting popular among celebrities for weight loss, which isn't its intention. Yeah you can lose weight, but continuing on an unhealthy lifestyle will put the weight back on.

For me by day 10, I feel the fast has ran its course, at which point I come off. I guess it depends on how much toxins has been stored. It takes discipline, so prepare yourself mentally. Most people expect to feel hungry, but I don't, but do drink around a gallon per day, as I'm usually working out while on it. My best run times (sub 18 min. 3 mi) was on it. It gives me energy.

There is the argument about not getting protein, which I won't argue. For the lifters on here, use the fast when you are taking a break from the gym.

For convenience, I mix up a gallon first thing in the morning, and leave it warm on the stove. It tastes like Russian Tea, so the taste isn't bad. I add more maple syrup to counteract too much weight loss.

If you choose the sea salt flush in the morning, please stay close to the shitter. It will hit you quick. Don't be on the subway. Lol.

Personal results. I always feel good after it's over. Last time my body reeked for two days from the toxins coming out of my armpits. I didn't leave the house it was so bad. That was from partying too hard and eating the shit out of processed foods. I know it works. My mind feels clearer, skin healthier, and digestive tract, well, on track.

Feel free to ask questions, but I stand behind this 100%.

Keeping the system cleaned out helps increase your immune system. Dr. Paul C. Bragg wrote in his book about not eating whole foods in the morning, as the body needs to wake up. A lot of experts support this and I think its even more important when your body is trying to heal.

What do you do when you're sick?

I've been sick from Friday up until today. I hardly ever use my Netflix membership but it is great when I'm sick. Watched a lot of interesting documentaries, and killed the entire season of House of Cards.

I felt it coming on mid-week Wed/Thur and then I did a hard workout on Friday morning like an idiot. Paid the price.
