Apparently, Rapeman was an anime and then 7 real movies were made. I just want the cartoon on dvd!

It's China, not Japan but sex dolls like these are popular over here too.

Feminists want them banned of course. Hmm.

I feel bad for omegas and beta males.
They need sex dolls. I mean these guys are the ones who maintain society for alphas and women, and if they cannot get women they atleast deserve this. Every human being has a right to happiness...except feminists, haha.

Every once in a while someone posts some weird thing about Japanese culture.
Here's a thread to keep it all in one place.
Let's start with the burger mask:
Good old feminism, breaking down gender stereotypes to sell women more stuff they don't need lol
I was looking the eel porn vid but can't find it but this one is also nsfw, Japanese worm porn.

...and nothing quite surprises me anymore. If I looked out my showroom window and saw a fully-nude woman force-fucking an alligator with a strap-on while snorting xanex on the roof of her rental car with her three children locked inside with the windows rolled up, I wouldn't be entirely amazed.
I may be going to Japan next year. Always been intrigued by the country and wanted to visit. I found this "fart scroll" particularly amusing:
This is Chinese, but still fucked: http://www.vegfriend.com/forum/topics/li...s-in-china
Putting live animals in little bags to wear as key rings. They seal the animal in with 2 months of oxygen.

That's on a whole another level, just plain cruel. All of the Japanese things listed so far are completely harmless - bizzare, but not hurting anyone.

Yeah, it's important to keep in mind that the place is actually staid and boring. (And yeah, Oosaka is a fucking dump. It was a dump the last time I was there, and that was before the Lehman Shock. I can't even imagine what it looks like now.) There are no ninjas dueling in the streets, the vast majority of people don't go to cat cafes, and even anime is something only a few people watch.
That said, they do have an eye for funny and crazy shit. For example the four-layer fried ramen burger!
They originally only offered a three-layered ramen burger, but people kept asking, "Can you add more patties?" so they did.

Tell me the woman in this isn't really a man.
If only I could time-travel to Japan in the 90's...

Though its interesting, with just makeup and a dress, the blond(e) one is far more feminine then most trans'woman' who have mutiliated their body with hormones and surgery.

Don't get me wrong, Japan is an interesting place, but I feel it's also one of the most over-hyped countries on the planet.
Most of these weird stories are about cherry picked fringe nutjobs that barely apply to the general populace.
The average Japanese person is nowhere near as interesting, bizarre or exotic in real life as they're depicted in the media. Of course there's quite a bit of interesting shit here, and it is a fun place to live, but based on Western media, you'd be forgiven for thinking this country were a parallel universe and its people some inscrutiable alien race of subway-gropbing, lolicon tentacle rapists. Actually, Japan is quite a tame and dull place compared to China (not to mention what I've heard about India!). Furthermore, I consider Osaka must be distroyed, it's men put to the sword, it's women and children sold into slavery. Just sayin.
Yes, Japan is pretty much the Opposite of what these vids present. sometimes I meet people who come here and ask "so, where`s all the weird shit?" Uhh. . .On the internet? Like really the only weird things I can think off, is some of the rediculous flavors of food, or silly pizza toppings, or stupid flavoured drinks, but all of that is just stupid ideas that weren`t filtered by management.
Some examples:
Shrimp Hamburgers
Salt/vinegar+some chinese fruit drinks (they only appear in the summer and taste just like fruit juice)
"Cultural appropriation" - like people having drum circles at yoyogi park and wearing Afros becuase, "that`s what black people who bang on drums in brazil do" which is just as edgy as a group of people wearing samurai outfits while playing shamisen or something.
Pocari Sweat (a sports drink with a stupid name because English)
Those weird food packs that squeeze some disgusting jelly shit into your mouth as a substitute for meals
Calorie Mate - weird tasteless ration sticks.
Akihabara - (pretty much 99% of weirdness gets qurantined there)
Piko Taro - the guy who sings PPAP but its not really weird as the reason it was funny to begin with was because the video is just making fun of how Japanese people learn English in school growing up. (i.e. terribly) because of this they can understand English somewhat, but speaking is nearly impossible for many. The only thing weird is the guy dancing and singing, but people do that in the U.S. all the time.
Kyarry Ptamu Pyamu - The lady with the weird vids. . .she was famous for about a year.
Its more that they take concepts that are found in America, and exaggerate them as that`s what they believe America is like. For example: Mascots
Obviously they are an American thing (think of snoopy and mickey mouse costumes at theme parks, or other mascot costumes in the states at restaurants or whatever)
Each state(Prefecture) has its own mascot. A few restaurants have a mascot. . .like Taco bell (not a Japanese restaurant) Basically a guy in in a taco costume with a face on it, and one of the workers is constantly tasked with asking foreigners in English to take pictures with it. . .to which people say "no" and keep moving, apparently she has to keep pestering them to take a picture (happened to me a few times)
Stuff like that. Other than that though. . .people go to work come home, or go to work, and go drinking and probably puke on the street. . .other than that, yeah. . .
Oh there`s a "Robot cafe" that costs $50bucks to enter to see the show. its pretty cool but yeah. . .$50bucks....not really worth it.

Wasabi kit Kat's are the best candy in human history. I love them.

Letters from the battlefront: Argentina
One aspect that has amused me for some time.
On one hand you can have rather superficial & juvenile anime in the form of the first DragonBall series.
Then you can have anime with subtext, context & thematic elements that are more intellectual & of more gravitas than most of Hollywood's productions.
Such as Ghost In The Shell & Akira.
So it shall be rather interesting to see if the Hollywood version of GITS comes even close to matching the themes of the anime GITS.
