You know, for people who really do have thyroid or other physical issues causing them weight gain (a cousin of mine has an autoimmune disease and any time her drugs change, she goes from holocaust survivor look to just cleared out all the Mcdonalds in the state look), I genuinely feel bad for them.

However, you get so many land manatees that immediately claim some physical issue is the reason for their size. Your "physical issue" is you're not being physical enough. Cut out the HFC and other crap, develop a solid diet, and move! Walk, jog, bike, hell you can probably spin in circles and get some cardio benefit.

I'd be mad as hell if I had a problem that caused weight gain only to hear every fatty claiming some physical issue as their excuse.

Basically. Physical problems can fuck with your weight, but that's the case for like, 1 pct of all fatties.

I was with a girl a few years back who had thyroid issues stemming from Graves' disease. She took her meds and was fine most times---but she would occasionally endure bouts of fatigue and shortness of breath. She generally ate right and was maybe 10 pounds overweight---which was mostly in her ass and titties. But she worked out when she could--which was most times--and took it easy when she couldn't.

The point is that she had a strong personal ethic of caring about how she looked and she didn't let her physical limitations prevent her from doing what she could when it was possible. If more fatties were like this, there would 1) be fewer fatties, and 2) they'd be subject to a lot less ridicule and scorn than they currently receive.

Not many people are poking fun at the girls 10-20 lbs overweight (well, the guys on this forum---but we're genuine bastards[Image: wink.gif]) No, we're poking fun at the ginormous blobs who are just lazy fuck-ups who refuse to do anything to better their looks despite having every incentive to do so in a society that literally worships fit women.

"I generally view my body as neither negative nor positive"

And then her body gets posted on the internet for millions to see. We know how you really feel.
