Most musicians are like that. The only ones who kind of stand out and are pretty good with women are typically the lead singers. Otherwise they hope to become famous like Keith Richards so that they don't have to go after women hoping the women will come to them.

True for the most part. I knew a girl that was seeing a guitarist from a pretty damn famous band for a while. The dude ended up getting caught messing around with a 14 year old and going to jail. Dumb mother fucker. He must have just been one sick puppy, because I couldn't imagine it being hard to get laid if you're famous.

Oh yeah? ( My dad can beat up your dad) The singer in a band I was in was sleeping with Bob Weir. She was very attractive, blond and voluptuous, elegantly proportioned, but not a "10" model face.

I view things in a more binary way, roughly 8+ is beautiful to me, and everyone else is not. If she's 8+, how nice she is determines whether I could fall for her.

Some of you might be too young to know how huge the Dead were, hundreds of thousands of people would follow them, it was front page news on the New York Times when Jerry Garcia died young from self-abuse.

They were some of the original techno-hippies, presaging what would happen with Populist use of the Internet by their association with high-tech sound people and so forth.

My friend the singer was gracious and engaging considering she was very pretty. Haha, for an American women I feel I have to comment "She wasn't bitchy" as if it's notable. I think I've come to expect more negativity than is realistic, it becomes a limiting belief.

Pretty interesting story.

He would contact her only every couple of years, looking back, what was interesting was she wasn't embarrassed about going to see him for just a week even though I don't think he did much to keep a lot of contact in between. He was so high-status that it was OK to just be on call to screw him.

Another notable thing she commented on was that the Dead "aren't like deadheads." I think she meant they were cultured intellectuals, not slovenly bohemians.

What is amazing about it?

I used to be a rock journalist and a extremely famous dude in an american band (who shall remain nameless) who is regarded as something of a sex god has absolutely zero game.

He was seen begging, literally begging a receptionist at a hotel to come to his room. She was, at best, a 3.

She said no.

His game consisted of the fact that he was in a famous band. If that did not work, his B plan is begging and pleading.

No, that's Ronnie Wood. A couple of years ago, he left his wife for a 19 year old Russian waitress. But now at 63, he is with a more age appropriate 30 something Brazilian.

Yeah allot of the best artists are weird like that. Some are introverted and shy and others are moody and flaky. That is probably why they sat at home strumming guitar all day instead of out chasing teenage poon or shooting hoops etc. It helped to make them what they are today.

Like you said above I'm sure he got over bieng shy pretty quick.
