Fisto Recons Lima Peru

With a city of 9 million people, of course there is plenty of talent in Lima, but most foreigners will only see them out at night in the discos, and bars, and during the day walking around the universities. Lima is a big sprawled out city, and most tourist will stay within the Miraflores/Barranco area. If your brave enough to venture into other neighborhoods, then you will see much more. That being said, some areas in Lima are very dangerous. I lived in Lima for several extended periods over the last 7 years. I come here not because I'm in love with the city, but because I knocked up a peruana when I was 29, and have been coming back to spend as much time with my daughter as I can.

I have a pretty good handle on the nightlife and food, these are some of my favorites in Lima:

DISCOS/BARS

Aura - Larcomar - Malecon de la reserva 610, Miraflores - http://aura.com.pe/aura_larcomar/

Hypnotic - Av. Larco 680, Miraflores - http://www.hypnoticdisco.com/

Cronos - Avenida Aviacion 2576, San Borja - http://www.cronosdiscoteca.com/

Ophera - Plaza Norte, Los Olivos - http://www.opheradisco.com/

Bar OM - San Martin 400 Miraflores - http://www.ombarlounge.com/

Gotica - Larcomar - Malecon de la reserva 620, Miraflores http://www.gotica.com.pe/

El Dragón - Avenida Nicolás de Piérola 168, Barranco - http://www.eldragon.com.pe/

Ayahuasca bar Av. San Martin 130 | Barranco http://ayahuascarestobar.com/

Bierhaus - Sanchez Carrion 108 - 109 Barranco http://www.bierhausperu.co/

All these places I have listed have very decent talent on the weekends averaging from 6-9 on the RFV scale of hotness. Just check out the gallerias of these sites to see the talent.
I would STAY AWAY from Calle de Pizza, it’s a waste of time, the food sucks. Calle De Pizza is good for one thing in my opinion, and that is shoring pros, and semi-pros. Another place you may want to check out for shoring is Tequila Rocks in Miraflores at Ernesto Diez Canseco 146 its across from the Parque de Kennedy, I had some luck in this place, its starts to get jumping around 2am with very hot ladies of the night.

DAYGAME

My favorite daygame spots in Lima are Parque Kennedy – in and around the park during the day there a lot of chics out and about coming from school or work. Also, worth mentioning is Jockey Plaza in La Molina, this is Lima's high-end shopping mall, a ton of sexy rich poon. I used to run daygame here with pretty good results. It’s a little bit out of the way but I think it’s worth a trip. La Molina is Lima’s richest neighborhood. You'll need to speak decent Spanish.

RESTAURANTS

Peruvian cuisine is among the most varied and best in the world, represented from three main geographical areas, the coast, the Andes and the jungle. While the Peruvian cuisine only is recognized internationally in the last few years, food and its preparation is one important part of the Peruvian culture and a very personal way to express the Peruvian identity. Lima has many good restaurants of the high-end variety, but what you get for a $40 multi-course dinner, would probably cost $100+ in the states. I think it’s worth it to try at least one place while you’re in town. Alternatively, there are also a lot of fixed price menu type restaurants in and around Miraflores, for S/10 you get an appetizer, beverage, and main dish. Some of the best food I’ve had in Lima are from these types of eateries.

Below are some of my favourites:

Astrid y Gaston – One of the best restaurants in the South America by Chef Gaston Acurios, excellent food, decent prices.

La Rosa Nautica - Circuito de Playas, Miraflores

La Mar Cebichería Av. La Mar 770, Miraflores

El Rincon Gaucho - Av. Grau 1540 Barranco, and La

Tranquera - Av. José Pardo 285 Miraflores - both place have excellent Argentine steaks, and amazing wine list.

El Pez Amigo - La Paz 1640, Miraflores - This place has one of the best ceviche in Miraflores, If you’re gonna be in Peru, you have to try out this national dish.

Pescado Capitales - Av. La Paz 1640, Miraflores, this place also has excellent ceviche, seafood, and peruvian food.

La Lucha Sangucheria – Óvalo Gutiérrez, Miraflores - Very good sandwich shop, NY style across from Parque Kennedy, good prices

I’d also suggest an afternoon in el Centro, and check out one of the many chifa places. Lima has some of the best Chinese food I’ve had, comparable to some of the best places in NY.

CASINOS

Casinos in Lima can be a fun good pre-going out spot for a lot of peruanas. If you’re like me and enjoy a few hours playing craps or blackjack, drinking some pisco and checking out the talent, I would suggest these gambling spots:

Majestic Casino (Inside J W Marriott Hotel) Malecón De La Reserva, 615, Miraflores http://www.cirsa.com

Atlantic City Casino Avenida Benavides 430, Miraflores http://www.acity.com.pe

Fiesta Hotel & CasinoAve. Benavides 509, Miraflores http://www.fiesta-casino.pe

SUMMARY
My conclusion from the time I've spent in Lima, and other parts of Peru, I've definitely grown to like it. The people are very proud, humble, and welcoming of foreigners. The women are very approachable, sweet, and sometimes overly nice. The food is some of the best I've had in all my travels. If you’re a white guy in Peru, then I would agree with Paleo Dude’s thread to some extent, that it is a Poosy Paradise, especially with girls that are 6-7’s, but don’t think it will be easy with the high-end biaches, it’s going to take some game. These girls are well traveled, well educated, and come from very wealthy families; they can have just as much attitude as the paisas in Mde. But the one thing I like about Lima compared to Medellin, is most discos and bars are much better setup for running game than say places that are in Mde. Also I’ve notice less jealousy with the local guys, and the possessiveness of their women.

Hope my quick write-up helps out.

Look forward to reading your adventure's

Buenas Suerte!

How do these girls stack for the average?

I'd say above average on a whole, but pretty much what you'd see as the average girl hanging out in the nightclubs and lounges in Lima.

Gentlemen,
I considered meeting a friend in the Galapagos (no women)

Good choice skipping Galapagos, I went there and I was out $700 before stepping off the airport. The flights from Quito/Guyaquil are like $600 R/R and the "entrance" to the islands is like $100. That was like 4 years ago, I am sure the prices are higher now.

They do have a couple of clubs and a few bars there. Its your run of the mill backpacker gringas and chubby locals. Also, on the outskirts of town there's a strip club/Chongo(Ecuadorian word for whorehouse) with some tired looking hoes out of that "Desperado" movie.

As for Peru, they are not as good looking as Colombianas, Brazialian or Argentinians but I wouldn't kick the cute ones out of bed.

Now, I had always dismissed Lima (and Peru in general) because of the reports coming back that the girls are busted. Of course I wanted to see all the cool things available but I figured, there are other places with equally cool sights and to do activities that have hot women.

Since the new data suggest that there is a large amount of higher end girls that break the ugly Peruvian girl stereo type, and the food sounds Amazing along with it being spring there, I have pulled the trigger on a 1st class ticket to Lima for 489 dollars (Thank you Airlines hookup).

The same shit is said about the phils in terms of low average quality...and it's mostly true in my opinion, but the caveat is that as a good looking white man you can roll in and get high above the average.

I'm betting Lima is similar to Manila, and this parallel between the two countries has been made over and over again. The quality in Lima is probably going to be better than Manila, especially in the upper tier.

The idea that Lima has good talent to be found is nothing new. Lima has been on the white man's pussy paradise map for years now.

Manaus, brazil is the target city I want to hit after I go to lima. Supposedly it's the brazilian equivalent of Lima in terms of tang.

You're going to have blast, no doubt.

I'm looking forward to the intel. Wish I was there already.

I'm excited to see Fisto's comparison between Peru, the Phils, and the DR. Peru was on my list but after reading PALEO DUDES thread, it might top the list now. I didn't know how accessible nature was there, unlike the DR. For longer stays I need something to do like dirt biking, surfing, access to good food, ect. My hamster is spinning out of control!

Here is a nice compare & contrast on Colombia vs Peru from Colin over at expat chronicles. Interesting points as well in the comments section. http://www.expat-chronicles.com/2012/09/...pros-cons/

I have yet to go to Lima but most of my friends that live here in Colombia that travel often to Lima, relay the same sentiments Colin addresses in this article.

I will make it to Lima at somepoint but for now I have more of a desire to checkout my neighbor to the Northeast; Venezeula....will be spending a week there this month so I will let you know how that compares.

Either way I am sure your gonna enjoy Peru....South America has a ton to offer!!!

The two neighborhoods are extremely close together and you can take a taxi from one to the other for a few soles.

A lot of people say Barranco is more "bohemian" and I guess I wouldn't argue with that. It seems a bit more like a working class/artist/student neighborhood than Miraflores, which is almost totally dedicated to tourists. I feel like you can meet more down to earth girls, eat better, cheaper food, get a bit more value and all around miss out on some of the tourist traps associated with Miraflores. I had fun in both, but Barranco is a way to get just a little bit off the beaten path without being too far away from Miraflores if you need to go there for any reason.

There was talk on a thread here about Tequila Rocks & calle de las pizzas/"pizza street" in Miraflores, I didn't like either one of these, they both seemed to be whore dens when I was there with exorbitant drink prices and pretty much all pros.

I can personally suggest El Dragon (Wednesdays) in Barranco. I pulled there, as did my wing, first night in the country! [Image: banana.gif]

Fisto, two of my best friends are Peruvian and have been to Lima many times, I think they have family there actually and might be able to connect you to them. Probably not the biggest players but can give you solid info on where to go. I'll get a hold of them and drop some info

I am very interested in this thread because Peru offers:

1) only 1 hour behind EST time in US so easier to do remote work
2) lots of non-girl things to do
3) opposite seasons to US (winter destination)
4) cheap
5) I know people there, so would have immediate social network of locals
6) amazing food
7) girls love white guys

Thus, the only question mark is the girl quality and accessibility of at least 6's and 7's.

Miraflores is generally a more commercialized and modern city full of more corporate people. Where as Barranco is more culturally rich, has a more layed back vibe and is home to the famous artists (photographers, singers, dancers, painters, musicians, writers etc.) of Peru so expect more interesting people (including tourists) to be attracted to this area. However Miraflores has much more to do and more places to pick up women, because it's larger and more mainstream. Some of the wealthiest people in Peru live in Barranco's classic mansions, built in the 19th century among them drug lords and businesmen, if you happen to meet the daughter of one of these men you may win the jackpot or be a walking target, find out for your self, be cautious a buddy of mine was fucking a colombian until he independently found out her dad was involved in the heavy duty cocaine business, he even hung out with the dad a couple times unintentionally, the last thing you want is a man with that much power knowing who you are and that your fucking his daughter nsa.

If classic colonial architecture (plenty of attractive local and tourist architects love this route) is what your interested in than no district beats downtown Lima (Lima Central) where some of the oldest buildings of the Americas can be found particularly around the tourism hotspot known as "the historic centre of lima", including the oldest functioning university of the Americas (San Marcos) dating as far back as the early 1500's, there are plenty of tourists here in this UNESCO World Heritage Site taking there time and they stick out like a sore thumb, also local peruvian women here are specially dtf with foreigners at bars and clubs or if you spend the whole day with one you meet on the street and buy her drinks it's likely she will come to your lair if you give her a sense of last day in Peru urgency and enough rapport, it's worth spending at least a night and a whole day at a hostel with a private bed.

Be aware of your valuables because thieves lurk the streets at night, just bring a back pack to conceal any valuables, it get's pretty packed at night in downtown lima so don't worry too much about getting robbed there, just always keep your eyes peeled and try to avoid sketchy streets.

Hope that was enough info to answer any future q's

The post by Mojoris was on point except for one thing: Tequilla Rocks in Miraflires is a 100% hooker bar. There's other TR bars in Lima, I went to one in San Isidro that had a mixed crowd. I met a hot stewardess in that one, but there's nothing else too close by to that one, so only go if some locals tell you it's going to be popping

So I'm sure this is no surprise to some but the quality of girl on latinamericancupid for Peru and Colombia is night and day.

There are some solid 6s and 7s on there from Peru but one Colombian girl "showed interest" and when I clicked on her profile all these other hot ass bitches showed up too.

Damn Colombia is filled with stunners.
