I just started smoking electric cigarette.
(Get a good one. You will feel nasty smoking cigarettes. can't believe how I've been smoking those all the time. now I only smoke 1~2 real cigarettes a day)
I bought those e-liquid 20ml for $9. It didn't bother me too much since it's less than 2 packs of cigarettes. And I realized there are lots and lots of markups for those. (almost .50 per mil? geez)
For 20ml, I can get it from china for about $3 shipped. (not even wholesale, just one single item shipped for $3)
So if I buy it bulk or just buy the liquid and fill it by myself, I say it would be $1 per bottle.
BUT, I say this is like Cell phone covers. You can buy those individually for about $1. they sell the same thing at the store for $10.
Does that mean, you can buy at $1 and sell it to the stores for $2?
I don't think so. they are not dumb. they are already buying at the same price or even cheaper than you will be getting.
This smoke shop owner told me, he always gets people dropping their business cards and samples to sell e cigarette items. I am pretty sure any idiots can do web-surfing, use credit card to buy a bunch and try to sell it to local smoke shops.
I can think of only 2 ways to sell it.
Either develop your own website that appeals to the customer
(I say it would be a lot easier than selling cell phone covers)
Or work on branding (packaging, name recognition etc) to differentiate from other e-liquids and distribute it to the local smoke shops.
The good thing about smoke shop is that they are all owned by some small business owner so you can deal with them directly.
