This really bummed me out, but is very telling

I've made it a point to not post negative stuff, mainly because of a specific thread that I can't seem to locate right now. However, I saw this picture today, and it bummed me out. It's very indicative of modern culture, where people are knowingly unhappy with being bound to technology, but would rather get back to their facebook and instagram than have an amazing time. If it were me, I would have turned the lights back off and said fuck the lights and fuck facebook, let's keep doing this until the night is over.

Personally, I often prefer technology over people. Most people are not interesting to me. People are often illogical and mostly want to talk about bullshit.

I would rather be online where I could research, study, listen to, watch, communicate with, observe, write about, and view images of almost any topic known to man. The internet is like having the power to talk to a million people from throughout history, the wisest and most interesting of them all. I find it more entertaining and educational then talking to the average person.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy time with my family and friends, and I enjoy meeting fascinating people, but, if someone told me that they prefer the internet over a nightclub, I would have no problem with that.

Sitting around with a bunch of strangers is not my idea of a good time. I would rather be alone or with trusted friends and focused 100% on my/our interests and passions. I don't need constant interaction with strangers to have fun and be happy. I'm speaking generally, I understand that we all need a certain amount of social interaction.

Maybe modern man has just evolved into a less social being? I don't see why its such a problem..

Maybe, I am part of the problem?
