1st Tier Model cities are Paris, Milan, New York. *only* These cities have fashion weeks that top fashion models participate in and buyers for every retailer who is anybody goes to and every top designer participates in.

Cities like Los Angeles, Miami, London, Berlin, Munich etc have fashion models but they are mostly working on national or regional campaigns and are usually not doing the cover of Vogue or Cosmopolitain. these cities also have commercial models and glamour models (Miami and LA have lots of these types).

Fashion Models are the models that can be classified as supermodels. These are models like: Gisele Bundchen, Heidi Klum, Kate Moss, Adriana Lima, Naomi Campbell etc. Fashion models who do fashion shows in Tier I model cities all have pretty much the same body size and style ... which is a very narrow range. Generally they are about 1m76 - 1m80 (5'9" - 5'11"). Outside of this range they get much less work because they all have to wear the pretty much the same sized clothes. There are beautiful models in Prague who stay in Prague because they are too short to work as a fashion model in a Tier I city. In non-Tier I cities they can do fashion model type stuff for lesser known designers.

Fashion Models who primarily do print ads and TV commercials for products other than designer labels are considered "commercial models" in the fashion business. Commercial models can be shorter (or taller) have bigger breasts, etc. It just depends on what the advertiser wants. But in Tier I cities, the commercial models who are not also fashion models are usually doing less well unless they have something special.

There are also glamour models (topless or bikini or lingerie models). Some guys find them more desirable (more curvy, bigger tits), but they make a lot less money and have a much less glamorous lifestyle.

I was living in Paris for quite awhile and along with NYC and Milan this is probably the best place to meet a model (well, if you want a glamour model, LA or Miami might suit you better). If you are American, New York would probably be 3rd, as in these circles in Europe, they aren't meeting many Americans, but many see New York as the top of the top for their profession so they want to know more about the USA. Not that it's easy in these cities, but there are large quantities. If you fit their criteria (which it's impossible to know in advance) it's not too difficult to bag one if you know the setup. In Milan and Paris things are very similar. I can't tell you much about how it works in LA or NYC because when I was going out in those cities I was too young to be of much interest to them, although from time to time I had a chance to meet a very few.

While I was in Paris, through work I met one American fashion model and while we were more or less in contact, after she found out I was going out with one of her EE model friends she became very curious and wanted to get all the dirt on her. So we eventually became friends. The American was very successful and had done runway shows for top designers and did international campaigns for car brands and other major products. When she needed some internet help, she would always invite me for drinks with her and bring along 1 or 2 fashion model friends who had no boyfriend. If it worked and I went out with one, I could be sure that she would call me up and ask for some free IT help. This went on for 2 or 3 years, so I've sat down with quite a few of them and heard a lot of their stories as a friend, rather than a guy they think wants to to them in the next 30 minutes.

Here's what you need to know (about fashion models):

- A lot of these girls are never getting laid. My model friend was always telling me whenever one of her friends complained about it. Having a bf but never getting anything, or having no bf at all...there are a lot of these.

- After about 24yo their fashion model opportunites fall off very quickly, so at that point a lot get breast enhancement and start doing lingerie and/or glamour work.

- At around 27+ all they do is go shopping, meet their girlfriends in cafes and talk about guys (generalization, but true often enough to use to formulate a strategy). At this point they are looking for a husband because for many, the only jobs they can get wouldn't allow them to maintain their current lifestyle.

- Some models live in the Tier1 city full time and some only come during certain months of the year during fashion week and then go home. Models living in Milan, Paris, New York year round, probably only make a lot of money during the 4 fashion weeks when they get runway show jobs and showroom jobs for about 2-4 weeks. If they can consistently get some print or TV ads (editorial) then they are rolling in the money and can sort of be called a Top Model. Otherwise, they have to struggle to maintain this glamorous lifestyle that they've been exposed to, so many look for a successful guy who they can live with and a few look for a guy they can milk for some cash (not as many IMO). Most guys here think Paris would be too expensive, so imagine how it is for a Ukraine girl who arrives there at 19yo.

- In Italy and France, the average height of guys is around 5'6" or 5'7". The average height of the models is around 5'10". They are generally looking for a guy taller than they are (not always). They also generally speak English better than Italian or French. So if you are a tall English speaking foreigner and in decent shape, you have a good "in" based on that alone.

- A lot of models who arrive in these cities knowing nobody are more lonely than you can possibly imagine. January Jones (Betty Draper on MadMen) said in an interview that the year she spent modeling in Paris was the loneliest year of her life. A German model I went out with very seriously for quite awhile told me exactly the same thing about the year she spent in Paris. She didn't like to go clubbing and she didnt know anybody, so she just stayed home alone. She later did lots of national campaigns in Germany for one of the best known brands, but even in Germany (which has the best paid modeling jobs on the continent), she could barely make ends meet many months out of the year.

Apart from that your basic HB10 game applies. This means, they think they already know you want them. Why? Because you are a guy and if you are a guy who doesn't want them you are several standard deviations out from the mean, so they want to know why.

Wow, looks are very subjective if you think this is a 6 and/or common look. (maybe in EE) IMO the chick is hotter naturally than the photoshop. HOWEVER, the real verdict is when I think about how she'd look in real life based of her "natural" photo. I can assure you her face would be flawless ad clearly standout...

I probably know models from all the major fashion agencies in NY and like other dude stated, doesn't mean much that they are signed. All those fresh faces, many of them don't even work or atleast get paid. Here in NY it's very uncommon to talk about agencies. (Only time I've heard it is when model to model are chatting briefly OR model and booker meeting each other)

Models deal with certain related to that industry BUT that stops there. (yea, the don't get laid as much) IMO, you can't really generalization them since it's THEM REACTING TO THE MEN THEY'RE AROUND. The same stuckup/boring model is the same chicks who is having fun with another guy.

NOTE, I do know some crazy model chicks but then again that's because I'm around tons of them. I could say the samething if I was around average women. (which I rarely am)

All in all, the only true difference is how you react to them. I don't give any random women status until they earn it doesn't matter how hot they are. No free lunch in my world.

I dated an Estonian in London. She was over 6' tall (I'm only 5' 10") and to be honest, for me, that was a problem. I don't mind the fact that she was taller than me per se, I didn't feel less of a man or anything, but it actually made banging her quite difficult.

Try doing a girl doggy style when her legs are longer than yours! It's basically impossible unless you kneel on an old orange crate or something!

Also, she drank a bottle or two of wine, EVERY night, and that was making her fat. Due to her height, the fat was distributed all over her body but I could make a roll on her back easily. She really should have spent more time in the gym and less time drinking, would have been way hotter if she had.

When I first started visiting Stockholm, a city with a shockingly high amount of legit models, I'm ashamed to admit I was too terrified to approach any (I'm British, the only place I'd seen women of this caliber before was on shampoo commercials).

After a cumulative 6 months there, acclimatization enabled me to end up on dates with 2 B-tier models.
Both were totally approachable and dare I say charming company. However, they were both leading extremely ADD lifestyles, and it's an arduous challenge to keep their attention. I managed only a single date (no bang) with the first and a few nights with the 2nd.

I salute anyone with game sufficient to keep one locked down for a prolonged period.

Yeah, 90% of the model's co-workers who are male are gay. Most of the rest are even more self-absorbed than the women.
They are very, very lonely in NYC. They have no money, and live 4 to a 2 bedroom often, most from bumfuck Texas or Midwest or West PA/Ohio or deep south, etc. NYC scares them a bit for a long time.

Almost no guys ask them out. They have no social circle because they are constantly competing with each other.

John Q nailed it. Some of these girls will sleep with you for a free dinner...like anywhere. Like, decent sushi, not anything magical.

24 is super-old for most of them, I mean, which fitness model is going to look better -- the 19y or the 25 yr old? They are very insecure about this, they stress about every month they get closer to the next b-day.

There was/is a show in the US called "Scouted" about a lady who goes and finds potential models all over the mid-West etc.

It's interesting to see how normal and natural (and sometimes not amazingly hot) these girls are before they make it to the big cities and start their lives as "models". (and also what plain old Joes their boyfriends are, hehe!)

When I lived in the US, I had a girlfriend while she was doing some modeling - nothing high-tired. I knew her when she was 30 but when she was 19 she was a Miss USA contestant. She was still pretty hot. One thing I remember is going into a restaurant and noticing everyone looking at us. I am used to being ignored when I am alone. Also, men would actually stalk her and follow her home all the time. She got tired of calling the police and would finally just ignore it. The reactions of men in America to a beautiful women are really ridiculous. If you want a beautiful girlfriend, it is probably better to live in a country where men are more relaxed and don't consider it to be a big deal.
