Colombia Dec/Jan 2013/14

I'm a frequent traveller to Colombia and will be back in Dec/Jan for my traditional New Year's trip:

12/25-12/30: Cali (Feria de Cali)
12/30-06/01: Cartagena
06/01-13/01: Medellin

If anyone's around and wants to join for some serious partying, let me know.

I'm in my 30s, Zurich based lawyer, pretty well experienced Colombia traveller.

Cheers

I'll be there in the Medellin/Pereira region for two weeks at the beginning of December. Is the date of your travel set?

Guys, I have booked an awesome 4-bedroom apartment in Medellin with stunning views over the city, Jan 6 - Jan 13.
I have still 2 bedrooms free if someone is interested to join. Cost will be about 50 USD per night.

I think the Hotels will be pretty well booked during that time. I am staying here:

Serviced Apartment type Hotel. Torre B is nice. And they dont Charge extra if you bring home Girls for the night. A one-bedroom Apartment goes for about 75 USD which I think is a good deal.

I'll probably be around in Cali/Perreira on the same dates, 23-26 and for newyear as well. Would be cool to meet some new people.

FYI I'm a 26 year old working in Development aid at the Ecuadorian coast, always down to party and also to check out some nature or do some adrenaline driven stuff!

Are there parties or events that are a must during La Feria? Any recommendations? I'll be staying in a townhouse located in Barrio Santa Monica Residencial.

Basically, all clubs will be open during the whole week, it's like on weekends during the 5 days.

Then, there are 2 events I usually go to:

1. The Cabalgata (horse parade) on Dec 26. Loads of hot chicks on horses and along the parade route. Many bars/clubs have "palcos" where they play music and sell booze. Runs from 12 until 6pm.

2. Superconcierto. Concert with all the big Salsa groups and some Reggeaton. This year with Marc Anthony, Don Omar etc. Even if you're not into the music (I am) it's worth going...great to meet girls.

There are lots of other events (like classic car parade)...depends on your interests.

Cool, I saw Marc Anthony a few years back in Greece and he was good and the chics love his music. I'm also big on Grupo Niche so that sounds like a good look. All the events look good. Are all the clubs good or are there particular ones that will be popin off that week?

Yes, I think the concert will be awesome. I got VIP tickets for 200K each, not many left I think.

Some of the bigger clubs in Menga are always good. My favourite is Lolas, that's where the hottest chicks are. Also Tittirifue or Praga. It's also fun to go to Juanchito which is about 20 minutes from Menga (outside Cali city limits).

I see some for 202k and you can print out an eticket. I might have to jump on that this weekend.

If you're in Colombia, you can buy online or from any Tu Boleta ticket vendor. I had to wire Money to my friend in Cali so he could get the tickets for me.

I won't be there until the 26th, but I can purchase them online and do an eticket, which seems pretty convenient. That's actually less than I spent at the bikini contest and concert for the national beauty contest last month in Cartagena

I'm changing my flight so I can be there for all the events. Since I'm staying close to ChipiChape Mall, I should be able to get tickets there, if I need them.
