Cure for baldness?

^^^^
Fair enough - bald guys get a rawer deal than fat people, 'which is manageable' - ie baldness is our of your control. Not saying I agree with this, but that's the way it is. It's 'mean' to call someone fat according to society. But not bald - accept this.

Sure, I'd take my hair back in a heartbeat. I'd take a longer dick and whiter teeth in a heartbeat too.

Medication, surgery - the control of it lies with the tablets, doctor etc. It sounds like you took hair loss pretty bad and are hung up on it. If you think the hair transplant was worth it, then good for you. You invested in yourself, which is never a waste of money.

Re: Kelly Slater, celebrity or not, would you say he's a bad looking dude?

I reckon he 'lifts'.

I think he's great looking, but I think I am too, and this is not the problem here. The problem is accepting that you'll forever be considered "less than" somehow and that it will be a deal breaker for a lot of young women. How many times have I read on OKcupid and POF profiles: "No bald men" It's the same double-standard here, I could never write something like "No fat girls".

Well when you start losing your hair very aggressively at the age of 17, of course you will take it very hard. One of the best hair transplant surgeons in the world told me he was one of the worst case of baldness he had ever seen at such a young age. People at university used to ask me if I was sick or if I had cancer. And they were serious.

It's not just that I'm bald, it's that I started balding at an age when I was still in my teenage year, in highschool. I'm not some dude who started balding in his mid-30's. I'd have accomplished a lot of things in my life by that age. I virtually had to start my life as a bald man. It was my defining characteristic, as a teenager, people would stop me on the street to comment about my great hair, so it was even harder for me.

The thing is, you've never had a longer dick. And whither teeth can really be obtained in heartbeat. But you've experienced life with a full head of hair before, it's something that you've had. As Roosh once wrote about tall men: "Maybe we take our height for granted" Judging by the harsh responses here, a lot of men take their hair for granted too, and they have no idea of the value it has.

I wonder if maybe guys with full heads of hair don't want baldness to be cured and don't will tell them these poor advices (just get buffed and tanned) so they can remain superior to balding guys and have less competition.

I started balding slowly in my early twenties (I'm 37 now), but the first time I shaved my head was already in my late teens - a clean shaven head or extremely short buzz cut were simply very popular haircuts in my corner of the world (Denmark) in the mid 90s.

Since then - ie. the last almost two decades - I can't recall ever having hair longer than 6-8 millimeters, and the vast majority of the time it's been between shaven (the blade of an electrical trimmer) and 4 mm.
My hair is now so sparse at the top that I prefer it shorter than 2 mm, but length adjustment in downwards direction aside, I've never felt that balding was a disadvantage worth worrying even a little bit over.

I always keep some facial stubble or occasionally a short goatee as well. Goes best with both the almost shaven head and my general fit look and relaxed style (usually jeans and a tight v-neck t-shirt).

Can you tell me more about the hair transplantation? Is meds a must?
What if I still have a decent amount of hair but I want it to be trully full? (like this: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-DjxFbG2odM0/Un...0/new2.jpg)

If you expect that head of hair with from a hair transplant, then it's probably not for you.

When you go the hair transplantation path, you must have realistic expectations, and that means not expecting a full head of hair.

Medication is not a must, but I would at least recommend minoxidil.

Well yeah, that is a lot of hair, hah. But what about Elon Musk? He seems to have enough of hair for a decent look.

That's me last fall: http://k3.okccdn.com/php/load_okc_image....3.webp?v=2
This is a good cut and not much else. This was after two and half month of minoxidil. I had to start it again a couple of months after I've taken this photo, but I just was too lazy + the greaziness was killing me, but the results were quite good as seen in this pic. My ex said that it did grow some hair back. Well, now it's got worse and I'm thinking what should I do next. Maybe I should try Minoxidil again? But I just hate the procedure. Fingers gets so fucking sticky, I have to wash my hands for like 10 minutes, yuck.

Bald men are made fun of by society and baldness is often seen as a joke. See George Costanza in Seinfeld, it's actually an accurate account of how bald men are seen.

And if you think that you must be a MMA fighter or huge to not be treated as a joke when you're bald, then you've just admitted that there's something wrong with being bald. You imply that not to be made fun of as a bald man, I would have to become a huge muscle-head guy.

Why couldn't I just be... normal-looking you know, just fit (as I am now), not huge and be treated normally like the guys who have a full head of hair?

Work with what you got. Make the best of whatever situation you're in. Change a complaining mindset to a solutions orientated mindset. You've heard it all before but these sayings are cliches for a reason.

Sure most guys probably look better with hair but if you don't have it you don't have it. So what? Get out there and fuck shit up anyway.

You're so right with your full heads of hair. Baldness doesn't affect your appearance that much, Alec Baldwin would still kill the ladies if he was bald:

Anyway, I don't see balding in your teens as a laughing matter. I've spent 6 months in psychiatry because of this crap. I suffered from major depression, anxiety, panic attacks and even psychosis. I was on the verge of suicide. It's not so much about how you are treated, it's your image that erodes so fast, you don't see yourself in the mirror anymore, and it's relatively slow (well not for me, it took me 5 years to become bald by the age of 23), so you're becoming uglier day after day.

But you guys with full heads of hair (I suppose) are all right, balding doesn't matter, it's funny if I suffered so much because of it. I had no right to complain. People and women treated me like a sub-human, asked me if I had cancer, openly mocked me, but I don't get the right to cry and be depressed because of that. "Man up!" as the feminists would say.

Baldness is a serious matter, but society doesn't allow us to complain about it, while seeing us as "less than" at the same time. I'm proud to say I survived this plague, I'm not sure if any of you guys could even do the same. If you're interested in educating yourself about hair loss, instead of making fun of bald men, just watch this show:

Sorry this has affected you so much, but you clearly need to continue with the therapy, Man. The amount of obsessive energy and tunnel vision you're giving this is unreal.

I don't think I have an obsession, it's just that baldness was part of my daily life. Remember that I was bald at 23 years old, an age where virtually no one is.

It's a thread discussing a potential cure for baldness right? I was here to give some insight about the condition and what options there are for bald men.

I've even linked my hair transplant topic and some hair loss sufferers present on this forum thanked me for it.

Baldness is not something you can swipe under the rug, as if you don't think about it everyday, you'll be reminded of it during pick-up or by an rude comment.

I think it's rather people not suffering from this condition that have tunnel vision, making all sorts of rationalizations on how it's not a big deal, posting pictures of Vin Diesel and Bruce Willis as if they were absolute proof that women love bald men. Saying "just tan, become huge, rich and famous" and then, it won't matter.

Tell me, if balding is really not a big deal, then why is it 4,5 billion dollar a year industry?

You're missing the point of what people are telling you. What they're saying is that yeah being bald sucks but you let it pass and control what you can control. Lots of things that aren't that big of a deal rake in billions of dollars per year - it's the insecurity these companies are selling to, and you're a prime example of why they make so much dough.

I've got a receding hairline that gets comments from time to time, and I started getting grey hair in my early 20s. In fact, a model I was banging recently even gave me some shit about it and said I'd be more handsome if the hair was more filled in on my hairline. But did it stop her from giving me cock-gobbling eyes the first time we met in the club, constantly begging me to impregnate her, and putting her ass in the air every time I yanked down her panties? Fuck no...

And this is not exactly a woman lacking more hairy (and far wealthier) options.

Yes, I realize my situation is not exactly the same, as I still do have plenty of hair, but regardless, it hasn't stopped me from nailing plenty of pussy to the wall, and when I do go bald, I'll shave it and keep going. Comments are annoying sometimes, but I hardly lose sleep over them. Some of the best players I know are bald - one of whom lost a great deal of his hair in his mid-20s and was weird as fuck too, but his confidence kept girls coming back to his bed.

Regarding hair transplants, if it just gives you thin hair, as you implied above, I'd personally avoid it and just shave. Thin or patchy hair that a balding guy is struggling to hold on to has always looked uglier and more pathetic (yep, I said that) to me than a guy who just said fuck it and torched his whole mane. The first reeks of insecurity; the second displays acceptance and self-confidence.

If it works for you, by all means, embrace it and do share with the forum. But your tone comes across as whiny and extremely stubborn throughout this thread - it's a tone we've seen other guys come in and use when talking about being short, ugly, having weak jawlines, small dicks, or whatever... Your particular situation might feel unique, but getting hung up on a physical weakness is not.

Having said that...to anyone thinking a physical flaw can't be overcome, tell your sob story to this guy and his beautiful wife:

Oh, wait, what the?

Let me guess, bad example because he's still got so much more hair than you, right?

Nobody likes to have shortcomings, but we all have them. Control what you can control and you'll be amazed at what's possible.

I agree with your post, mostly. But these crippled guys were a very bad example, because they will get sympathy from women and other people, they're seen as brave, courageous, as if they signed up on a volunteer list to have their arms and legs removed. We get no sympathy at all from other people, just laughs and mockeries. We're not seen as brave for being bald, while in my opinion it's courageous for a man to go out of his house with a bald head in a society that's never been more superficial.

You'll see how you deal with it when you get there, but on the hair loss forums, we've heard it all before from guys with small recessions. "I'll just shave my head and move on with my life, you're all pathetic for caring!" Then they come back a few years later saying that their life is over and begging for solutions. Trust me, you just can't know beforehand. We even had a woman (losing her hair too) telling us we were vain: http://www.hairlosstalk.com/interact/sho...re-so-vain . And now a few years later, she's on our side, she understands the trauma we go through perfectly, sadly because she now has extensive hair loss too.

My motto is, some hair is always better than no hair, that's why I went for a hair transplant. For some people, the cueball look is really a bad idea. It's not a good option for thin and pale people like me for example, I had to keep some of the hair on the sides to avoid the cancer comments.

You honestly think these guys got carried through life on sympathy alone? [Image: huh.gif] I'm not sure what to say to that...

Can you even begin to imagine the insecurities they faced entering the dating world to begin with?

The fact they get off the couch in the morning, let alone kill it in life the way they do, is a miracle of human adaptation and perseverance.

I respect a man with a bald head when I see he's still pulling ass and not letting it hold him back.

You could say I've been there before. 3 or 4 years ago, I started waking up with a shitload of hair on my pillow and was losing it all around my apartment. My hair was falling out suddenly, and I assumed male pattern baldness. If I pulled on bunches of hair a little bit, some would come off in my hand.

I was bummed about it for a day or two. Then I walked down the street to the barber, told him to shave it off, and started growing a goatee.

Later on down the line, I grew my hair out again just to see if it was thinner, and it wasn't thin at all and wasn't falling out anymore. I imagine it was poor diet and stress, as it was a very difficult time of my life.

Point being that, yes, I do already know how I'd react.

Quote:Quote:

My motto is, some hair is always better than no hair, that's why I went for a hair transplant.

From what I see around town, that motto is the downfall of a lot of guys who are going bald. But again, if the hair transplants are doing the trick, by all means, stick with it.

Thin and pale? Like Neil Strauss was?

Hell, he embraced the cancer look - appears to plain BIC it now.

I really think it depends on what you do with the rest of your style - and perhaps more importantly, your game and personality. I'm sure some guys are just lost causes. That's life, I guess.

But most people can do something to improve their appearance. Hence the talk of lifting, etc.

You control what you can control.

What is funny is Fred posting pictures of what actors could look like bald and say they aren't sex symbols or couldn't get women.

All we need to do is look at a real actor who is bald and still remained a sex symbol.

He's a celebrity and he's rich for god's sake, he would get women no matter what, look at Jack Nicholson and Danny De Vitto. Take away his fame and make him an average Joe, do you think women would even give him their time of the day? Show me an bald average Joe with hot women, just a normal guy, 5"9', normal body, instead of those wealthy male actors.

Here's something you don't know, Sean Connery has been bald his entire acting career, even in his first James Bond movies, they made him wear make-up and a partial wig. Why did they do that? Isn't baldness suppose to be sexy? Why not make James Bond bald? I'm sure he would still slay the girls and it would be very believable to the audience in the 60's. No, it was not congruent, they had to make him wear a wig so it was believable for him to be a ladies man.

PS: funny how they frame the picture on the cover of the magazine so you don't see past his forehead. Probably a coincidence right?

^ You are hilarious.

So using celebrities as examples is relevant when it (supposedly) supports your argument; otherwise, it's not...?

Yeah, I wonder why I accused you of obsession and tunnel vision...

Anyways, Neil Strauss is a regular-enough example. Nobody knew who he was when he made his metamorphisis, and his connections and money (a lot less at the time) were most certainly not getting him laid when he looked like he does in those before pics. He relied mainly on game and changing his style to get different results.

Yeah keep telling yourself those pretty white lies.

We keep talking about women hamsterisation, but it seems men are quite good at it themselves.

We criticize how women look up to celebrities and think they can be like them, but you're all doing just the same.

I've just realised that a lot of young men on this forum are actually terrified of baldness, hence the male hamster at work with the pictures of celebrities and crippled guys.

Only time and true baldness itself will teach you I guess.

You're right, bald average guys could never get a hot woman.

I am losing my hair and strive very hard to be average. I don't even know why I'm on this forum. Is there another forum around where I can talk to average guys?

Fuck that. If you can't get girls because of your hair, it's because of an atrocious comb over. Not because of balding.

When I had a full head of hair in my 20's there was NO difference between the amount and quality of pussy I got with a nice hairstyle vs. when I shaved it for summer.

Some girls that knew me said I looked uglier with a shaved head and to never do it again. Some said it was way sexier and to keep it that way. Who would of thought that girls had varied opinions?

You know what doesn't get hot women? Being average, not trying to excel in anything and being an insecure faggot about a few hairs.

Girls want winners, that was true in high school, college and in life. Now their definition of winners varies, is it the high school QB? the drummer for a band? a firefighter? A computer programmer that started his own company? All these examples are winners and losers depending on who you talk to.

Quit worrying about your hair. Become a winner. Nail hot pussy.
